For the record, dabbled in furry- did crappy newbie art, roleplayed one, that stuff. Still draw my old character occasionally.
Now, I'm content to represent myself on the internet, rather than have a furry persona do so.

There's nothing wrong with roleplaying, Eibbor. It's only bad if you can't tell the world you live in from the world your imagination made up, or if you can't tell yourself apart from your character.

Oh, no! I would never intend to send a message against roleplaying. I'm currently actually in several, on different sites. Quite honestly, if I were interested in a roleplay that was only open to furry characters I wouldn't hesitate to join.
Likewise, there's nothing wrong with drawing or enjoying furry art or anything like that!

Random thoughts about the "furry community acting more like stereotypical furs" thing that everyone forgot several pages ago!

In general, I've also seen an increase of the nicer furries or anthro artists(I don't have a fursona, I don't draw porn, I just draw clean anthro art) declaring that they are not furries, and refusing to mix with the fandom as a whole. From several furries and anthro artists I've talked to, their answers have all been the same: the furries in the fandom that everyone sees as the "mainstream" part are scaring the nicer ones away. The general view of the ones who have "left" the fandom is that the obligatory dumbasses in the group are becoming more and more pervasive, and they don't want to hang out with/be associated with the bizarre fetishists/hardcore porn artists.
