Or is that a boob stick.
It seems Jyrras finally watched one of those "just say no" videos...
It's that time again! Yes, it's "Alienate new readers day"! One of those comics that, without context, will either drive a new reader screaming from the site in terror or fill them with morbid fascination. Another great.
Oh dear she needs to get a mindcheck now...Mostly whats odd she really has to watch with them spears in her boobys
Yes, break and send the pointy object flying off through the air, that's a great idea. I wonder if she mised some splinters inside. I mean that's what happens when you break something, pieces of it go everywhere, including places you don't want them to go.
Seems like the powerful characters in this are often quite silly. Fa'Lina, Kria, Nutmeg...but Nutmeg trumps them all.
Ahh see I knew she and Mab were much alike. Now, who would win in a hugging contest between Mab and Nutmeg? >:3
Mab is, oddly enough, smarter thank Nutmeg. Way smarter. Nutmeg has been around one decade too long and the insanity's too deep rooted to hide.
I love how freaked out Jyrras looks in the second to last panel. It's so funny.
Nutmeg no get her huggles. ):

Not smarter. Just... slightly less given to going into "off the deep end" mode.
Notice how very CALM and ARTICULATE Nutmeg was when playing her husband...
I just had an idea as to why Mab was exiled. Maybe she was too serious for Nutmeg? Nutty there doesn't seem like the type to keep serious peoples around her.

I would say Mab on account of her ability to kill, but Nutmeg can just turn that back around on you in a second.
Mab: Oh look, I'm going to run you through with this sword through the back.
Nutmeg: lolz, you just ran yourself through too. :D

Affectionate little fae there. However, she does not really cut the ice after the spear that has between her ribs suddenly shoots out past Jyrras. I think that Nutmeg is not going to get many hugs here for some reason ...

:mowmeep Never hug Nutmeg when she's spiked. In the start here, Nutmeg is getting down to Jy's level, and wants to hug Jyrras, when a spear shoots out, just missing J. He looks terrorfied, but now is coming to his senses, as he runs off in a cloud of dust. Maybe this is a plot to make sure that Nutmeg doesn't get a following among Mab's friends at Lost Lake.
( P.S. Would Nutmeg have a 'to do' list on hugging like Mab ? )
:mowmeep ( everyone who comes into these message rooms should have the right of free speech. That way, one and all can jeer at them, and point out how far they got it wrong. Everyone is an idiot sometime ... )
( Nutmeg seems to reinforced Jyrra's fear of the mindless hugging of him by some females ( cute ) . How does this now affect the situation between Jyrras and Lorenda , and what will happen when the gang at Lost Lake find out what is happening ? )

Yeah, I have, though that seems fairly common in almost every picture there. You people have no sense of proportion. :mowtongue
And there are no furry cons in New Zealand. We really only have one con here actully, which is just a pop culture expo, and I've never seen any furs there. I was hoping to get to AC in a couple of years, though.
And yeah, I though the spear went through Jy too.
oddly enough a horse is one of the few furry templates i seem to have few problems with and was suggested to me once by someone who pictured me as such. however mental imagery of the 'reason' for being a horse disturbs me because its in my brain at the same time as memories of my 2 year old sitting on my shoulders steering me side to side and going 'giddiyaup'
those should not be thought about at the same time...

I also used to ride horses, and I had a horse mad neighbour(And mother) for years.
I am a show-off though ;)
I'm really starting to grow fond of little miss Nutmeg there. :) Cute yet stark raving mad (in a cute way) isn't all that uncommon, but thus far, she's pulling it off better than most.

Well, the topic started as saying fun things about the newest comic, but at some point the topic changed to Nutmeg's breasts. I think, or maybe it's just the lack of sleep and exams catching up.
Man, oh, man. It's grey outside, it's Wednesday morning, I didn't sleep well last night and our road has been dug up, making me wonder if I can get my car out to get to work. The road was dug up because a water pipe burst which means that I haven't had anything to drink in about twelve hours. I'm thirsty, grumpy and sleepy and many other of the seven dwaves to boot but that comic still make me laugh, just for the sheer range of expression that Nutmeg cycled through. Especially in the last two panels.
as strange as this may sound I find it more intresting that jyrras's glasses keep dissapearing in almost every other pannel for the last 2 updates or so.
I think Mab's hugs are more apealing because she cuddle (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_247.php) hugs (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_253.php) which are always more apealing especally coming from such a lovely and cute lady.
Lets not forget that Mab has lots of experience with huggings and therefore probably knows the best hug for the situation.
This comic was one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

They like to be ridden?
I have a feeling that Nutmeg likes to talk about herself in the third person.
Also is insanity written in fae's genetic code or something? Not to bash them or anything, they just seem to have more fun.
They live (just about) forever, I think that's enough to make you go insane.
:mowmeep Nutmeg has big round fluffy ears, and a similar size to Jyrras ... What species of insane fae is she ? Is she a purple Kangaroo rat fae type. Can anyone here place the species of this insane fae ?
( Then again , Mabs actions may have been a stab to getting the heart of the problem here ... )
I doubt living forever would drive them insane. Being able to end it at any time with... However they do it, they would probably retain what (little) sanity they had in the first place.
I know I wouldn't mind living like that :3
But they don't actually die D:

I think I'm really starting to like Nutmeg for something outside of an awesome design and petite sexiness. Delightfully childish personalities unfitting of an adult among characters are one of my favorites, especially if the owner of said personality is completely nuuuuts. See Tira from Soul Calibur III, but she's a murderous psychopath, not a huggable cuddly sweetie.

<nod> I think what we're seeing here is another example of Fae "role-playing". Azlan is about the most "normal" Fae — compared to a Being — that I think we've seen so far, and even he has his goofy moments as you pointed out. Mab is... well, Mab. :rolleyes ;) And Nutmeg appears to be totally off-the-wall looney tunes.
Except that when she was pretending to be Albanion, she mimicked him right down to behaviour and speech patterns so well that Mab was taken in until she noticed the colour glitch.

So? It's an indestructible fairy child, so it's not like she can hurt them.

there are such things as mental scars. few children relish the memory of their mother firing them out of a cannon at age 5

now jyrass being embarresed..i am pretty certain after the spear going many different places from the booby squeeze..he wouldn't want a hug
i think mab and nutmeg are tied
now as for if anyone would want a hug from the fae with the..BOOBIES OF SDEATH!..i would, then again that is me. Even with the spear, as long as i was allowed to move OUT of the points way.

I can agree with this. Would you say no to superwoman/girl after she saved a bus from going over a cliff? I would! Nutmeg is also way more hugable imho.

Quite freaky, that. VERY high-powered role-playing.

Perhaps she has it backwards; she is normally flakey and roleplays being serious as her husband. She is so flakey, she does not realise she can be serious as herself! :D
I would definatly still take the hug from nutmeg but...if mab wanted one too and they starting tearing you apart trying to get a hug. That would suck, then again having two fae chicks fighting over you would be kinda sweet so it's all good.

See Tira from Soul Calibur III, but she's a murderous psychopath, not a huggable cuddly sweetie.
I request concrete evidence of both of these.
Quote from: kaskar on May 23, 2007, 12:25:16 AM( Nutmeg seems to reinforced Jyrra's fear of the mindless hugging of him by some females ( cute ) . How does this now affect the situation between Jyrras and Lorenda )
Not much, I imagine. If-and-when Lorenda hugs Jyrras, she means it.
I think that part of it is that Fae are so used to interacting with other, effectively unkillable Fae that they don't remember how the mortals are less... abusable.
Every Fae we've seen so far has demonstrated a mixture of lucidity and recklessness. But then again, who wouldn't in such circumstances?

Holy crap, your sig. Way too big.
Also, I think the other mods showed great distaste with the other parts of your sig, and I'm going to have to agree. Bragging about predicting something in the comic looks really tacky, and in a month or so it's just going to look stupid. =/

That sigging is totally going in my sig. When I make room.

I just had an idea as to why Mab was exiled. Maybe she was too serious for Nutmeg?
Mab?
Too serious? That gives me an idea:

:mowmeep Seems that some there is is not yet to a fae war in this set ?
:mowhappy When are all the strip type comic comic strips going down next ? People may hay thought Jyrras could turn into Earzilla , and what horror may come, in the fae wars, with Mabzilla, where and when will she try to put a dusting of Netmeg at the moment ...
:mowmeep When I'm asked have you got something, it usually is my understanding that the brain train has a trait of disconnecting. Thinking too much can give you too much of a headache ...
:mowmeep Why did 'lil' old Nutmeg spit the spike spear between here ribs out at poor Jyrras like spitting into a Spitoon ?

Hmmmmmmmm count me in I want a huggie from Mab or Nutmeg or both.
I was wondering who is Nutmeg is married to?
And why Nutmeg needed Mab's help?
Questions and more questions.

Are you actually reading the same comic as the rest of us?
I mean.. uh... read strip 783. And strip 788.
:mowhappy What will we see now. Mab reach into a hidden rear sheath , and get out her handy Mab-a-Rang to throw at Nutmeg, like Dan gets out his sword like an adventurer ? Not a happy Mabby here ... :mowhappy

So Nutmeg is pretending to be someones husband man those Fae's are a confusing lot.
So they have the ability to shapeshift as i read it and what Mab's is implying in the story line.
I will wait for more answers before I make more comments.
No, Queen Nutmeg is pretending to be her -own- husband. Who is Albanion.
Sheesh.
which is....strange to say the least.
and unfair too, if i dressed up like my wife i would be put in the funny farm.
and those farms are not all that funny.

...WIN!
Of course, based on Mab's track record, I'm wondering how long she can
stay this serious.
In other news, I just realized, for Jyrras to be as fast as he is, with those short little legs... dang, he's gotta be pumping them pretty hard... go Jyrras! Resist the chaotic-happy-huggy power!

I will be sorely disappointed if someone doesn't make a guest comic with Jyrras running away from Nutmeg, only to outrace Sonic the Hedgehog or something. XD

But... he ran from nearly the west coast to the east coast in a matter of seconds... o:
We couldn't possibly afford a camera that can snap pictures that fast!
AAAAAH NOSEBLEED
I could have roffled. I really could have.
Yet there is not enough room for Blast to roffle, so he does not. ):
I just noticed, the spear was an excellent way to show that Nutmeg was pretending to be Albanion. The change mostly appeared between comic 787 and 788, with only the antenna changing colour, but the spear remaining constant gives a good point of reference to clarifying what happened... Kudos, Amber. Excellent visual aid.
Well, at least we know where Mab gets her intense desire to huggle from. Who knows, maybe if Jy and Lor go to the Faedom they'll get mobbed and hugged by every creature in it. Could be interesting! :eager
