Title: New and not good with forums
Post by: Castle Pokemetroid on August 30, 2006, 12:45:22 AM
Yo! I'm new, and I don't go good with rules, no matter how much I read them. It's a curse. But, I have about I'd say 4 months of experience. So, please warn me and I will change my ways. I will learn.

News: Some ass has PM me some retarded thing. Can't believe what it is and I deleted once I saw it.

I have CV RPG characters that I well, I would call updated the sprite sheet or something. I made the following with new attack sprites: Nathan, Samus, and Alec.

I can show ya if you like . . .

Welcome to the forums! oh and watch out for the squirrel with muffins...
Watch out for squirrels period! Actually, in all seriousness us squirrels are friendly enough.

We all start off as newbies at one point so don't worry too much. Just as long as you're willing to change if needed it's fine.

Wait, we're friendly? I thought we were all in that world domination plan.....

Oh- Crap- they heard me.
Anyways, I'm Miaka, who can apparently not type her own name. Or at all. Um.....  used to have actual warnings, but then people took them from me, so I have no newbie-greeting thing anymore.

except this. *tosses an acorn*

H'lo person of newness.

So, Simon Belmont with pokéballs, eh?  There's an interesting image.  And it gives me all kinds of strange ideas that I'd rather not share (no, not those kinds of ideas!).

Don't worry about the rules too much, I probably frequently almost break them anyway.  My memory is shot, you see, too many unexpected cranial impacts will do that to a person.

So I'll read something and then forget I read it.  Like a Goldfish.  If they read.

And to finish on an expected note, regardless of what anyone tells you, this forum contains none of this:

:tohell

I now hand over the mic of muchgreeting to the next person.

Just remember this one important thing:
After Charmeleon has evolved into Charizard, you can use his fire ability to enter the lower dungeon blocked by the ice wall. While your there, grab the missile upgrade and use your grapple whip to cross the gap between the zombie space dragon, and the area's pokemon master. Grab the sample, activate the computer, and free the skeleton from the cage who will drop the metriod ball which you can use against death in his second form. Any questions?

The ones listed as "global moderator" in the members list at the bottom of the main page.

Damaris, Amber, Darkmoon are the main three. Jorge I believe is one. Clara takes the Art forum. After that I get a bit hazy.

You can usually also identify them because they have three titles, instead of two, under their name.

So, I er ... use that as justification!  Yes.  And now, ... look behind you, it's a three-headed leather jacket salesman!

As you move up in number of posts, it's expected that you will be posting more, and so the spacing is further apart. From what Darkmoon and Damaris have said, we're only about a third of the way up the list of names, even with Azzie up there at over five thousand.

Should be fun finding out what they are.
Title: Re: New and not good with forums

and some of us have the post counts brought over from the other multi-forum we were on, where most of the people had been there since pretty far back, so they had more of a chance to be so far ahead. Or at least, that's what I THINK happened.
Title: Re: New and not good with forums
Post by: llearch n'n'daCorna on September 02, 2006, 06:47:00 PM
Yeah. Some of them, yes. Some of the more prolific posters have started from zero, however, or close to it, and moved up -fast-

Heck, *I* started from zero, and I'm not doing too badly. I've had more posts here than I did on the last board, I think... and I was posting there for near on a year?

Hmm. let me go see...

Hey, what do you know. I had 1142 posts on the old forum, and had been there from June 04. So my rate here is a heck of a lot faster, even if the overall number is slightly less. So far... :-)
