Not to sound like an egomaniac, but I've never drawn this well, and I haven't drawn for quite a while. Granted, there are still flaws (why am I leaning so far back? and I don't think it came out too well, but my clothes are supposed to be blowing in the wind and I think my head's too big.) but practice makes perfect. Well, you get better, anyway. :P

Yes, it's got it's flaws, but that's still very good at the same time! Many artists will make a stick figure type thing first and then add on to it. It may help with the "leaning".
Yeah, I tried that, but it apparently didn't work too well. :(
That's really good! Aside from blowing in the wind (which I think is pretty well done anyway), I like the detail you put into your clothes, and I probably wouldn't even have noticed the leaning if you hadn't mentioned it. The only thing I can see that's maybe a little bit off is the neck. It doesn't look quite centered between the shoulders.
Very nice job!
haz: with the sick figure stuff, blue is a good pencil, since the scanner tends to drop it if you don't press hard...
Of course, first you've got to get a blue pencil... :-)
Nice pic, though.
Not bad the proportions are a little off but it's still good.
This mite help with the proportions.

Also the size of the head varies depending on age.
Adult and 15 years old = 9"
10 years old = 7 ½"
5 years old = 7"
3 years old = 6 ½"
1 year old = 6"
'Never could make heads or tails of the whole 8 heads thing...
'nyways, nice enough solid figure, just needs a few more details on the head and your good to go. The head's size is fine.
I worry mostly about wheather or not the head matches up with the body than the actual body itself.
You're definitely better than me.
The size of the head is fine it's the measurement of the body I was pointing out. The legs look like they're too short.
I was thinking that the legs were too short, also, but it could just be that the shirt is a little long. (I like baggy clothes.)
I experimented with texturing, not sure if it turned out too well, though...

Nicely done, no less.
nice job^^
can i say cute?
i think itd be ok to say that
This was my original concept, so all I pretty much had to do was draw a new head and add a tail. :lol Though I did redo the left (your right) foot (my dad said they looked like Egyptian heiroglyphics feet) and added a little more detail to the clothing.

Quite an interesting contrast - thanks for sharing it.
Somehow the clothes seem more baggy on the fox, although that's probably an illusion.
Is the head the right size proportionally, though? I can't really be sure..
When I compared (excluding ears) it to the orignal (human) drawing, it was a little smaller, but I didn't think it looked 'wrong.'

Wrong? I'm not sure, but the way I see it, the fox is going to lose out in terms of brain capacity.

Yeah, that's better. Head size is something I've found hard to get right myself...
yep, the bigger head did wonders, I have trouble with snouts messing up my head proportions, so when I do proportions I just dont include the snout into play and add it on once the base head feels right.
*glompu* TOO KYUTE!!! ^w^
Methinks it could use some shading... other than that it's fine. :mowsmile

Ghey hugs are GHEY (gay)! :3
I still can't see the distinction. *Dense.*
Apparently I'm only allowed to give Dakata ghey hugs. :B
* Rowne scratches his head.
Aren't all hugs platonic, though? Or are 'ghey' hugs ... fondly hugs? In which people fondle?
I'm not sure, you'd have to ask Dakata. She does seem to grope me quite a bit. :help

If I get bored, I'll see if I can strip the lines out of it, if you like...
If I were too concerned about the lines, I'd do it myself, but thanks, anyway.
Yow. That's a good eye for detail you have there. Plus, it's cool to mix in some technical drawing with character drawing.
Um... love! :kittylove
the car is awesome... have you concidered drawing it from a overhead angle
I'm sure I could, if I wanted to. I still have the paper lying around somewhere. If I do that, I might as well do a front and back view, also.

My software really is outdated compared to that. What are you using?
Autodesk 3D Studio Viz. Not quite sure how it's different from 3D Studio Max, it seems capable of everything Max can do. Though I only use 3DS for rendering, I model in SketchUp (http://www.sketchup.com/).
is that better then 3d studio max? i have and old version of that but i rarely use it.
I don't know what to do
I used to live for the weekends
Waiting for you, just to say hi
That's all I ever really looked forward to
I've been in bed all day, crying
I don't even remember the last time I cried
You were my safety net, a false sense of security
I can see now that you never really cared for me
And I'm not really sure why you never stopped it
Or kept it from happening to begin with
Maybe it didn't matter to you
How I felt
After all of this, you're still all I can think about.

Just experimenting/messing around with what can be done with 3D. :P
For those of you who don't know how a stereograph works, two images are taken (photographs, screenshots, etc.) with two slightly different perspectives (like having two cameras next to each other focused on the same point) and placed next to each other. This is used to give the illusion of depth. For this to work, you must cross your eyes so that the two images overlap and voila! :)
I think you did it wrong, because the shadows have also changed.
Why wouldn't they?
Nice. The spoiler at the back seems slightly odd, but apart from that it worked well.

i'm fairly sure the shadows wouldn't move unless you moved the object or the light source, and you're not supposed to do that.
Well, there are four sources of light, so some shadows may show up more prominently from one angle than another. And the only thing I moved was the camera, so...

Unfortunately I can't describe what I'm seeing. It seems slightly less tangible than the rest of it.
Hmm... I'm thinking that may have something to do with the reflections due to the shape of the wing (http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i213/xXHaZxMaTXx/4Bill_004.jpg).
I still hate the high nose, but that's just personal preference. The low rear-wing is good for a high top-speed setup, which is nice. Looks like it's ready for a speedway race. If only ChampCar still did those. And had more than 17 cars. And still had good races.
God, I miss CART. Champ Car's nothing but a shadow of CART's brilliance.
If I could get SketchUp working, I'd humour you and try my hand at a CART car. I need practice. :/

Fixed some minor geometry errors, set up a little scene, used some raytrace materials. Total number of polys here is 3,170,700. Not sure what's up with the distortion, if it's just the reflections of the concrete, or what, because the geometry's all smooth and organized...

Don't forget, you were starting from an excellent picture, and what you've done has really brought it to life. It wouldn't be nearly as good if the underlying picture was bad.
And I wouldn't bother changing the lines myself. Even if hey're too thick it matches the style...

I don't know if anyone sees it that way, but it almost looks as if the thick black lines are sort of "bleeding" outward.
Minor quibble, though.
Hmm, well, here (http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i213/xXHaZxMaTXx/HazandKeaton_Complete_004.png) it is with thinner lines and more orange fur, so now you can compare the two and know for sure. But yeah, it does look better with thinner lines.

Ah, I see. Unusual. Mostly, if you look at fur/skin patterns IRL, they tend to be more even - or, at least, I think so. Bright patterns tend to be on creatures that will give you a belly ache if you eat them, or are otherwise toxic - which is, I guess appropriate for Keaton ;-] - but often are symmetrical. I'm thinking like cobras, or the highly toxic species of snakes with the bright patterns on them (I have one in mind, with back and red bands, but sod if I can recall the name), but in terms of furry critters, mostly they tend towards camo patterns - tigers, for example, are striped so they can hide in the vertical shadows in jungles, even if in a cage they look -really- bright, they're nigh on invisible in the bush until they move... and even then...
Hmm. I should stop thinking now. ;-] Or at least talking about it ;-]

I believe that would be the coral snake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral_snake).
As mentioned in the article, some other species mimic the colouring as a form of protective camouflage.
yes, that sounds about right. Thanks for looking - I was going to poke about later...

Had to cut out the car, redo the windows (so you couldn't see the original background), redo the shadow of the car (same reason), make the reflection on the ground (which is not as easy as just flipping the image), add all the nifty bloom effects, make the background, etc., etc. Didn't actually plan on making this, it just sorta... happened. I used to just use the pen tool in Photoshop to ink, but that's boring. Experimented with some other methods of inking, and decided that, while it's insanely time-consuming, and it makes my whole right arm cramp up, the polygon lasso is the way to go. There's probably easier/better ways to do the same thing, but I have yet to find them, and the end result is worth the extra work. :3 So, yeah, I think the only tools I used to make this were the polygon lasso, fill, gradient and smear tools. Also: I still suck at shading hair. :<
And be sure to tell Mew how awesome her lineart is. :>
As I've said before Haz, the coloring is simply fantastic. It's vibrant, and it jumps straight off the page - although I don't know anything about coloring, I do know pretty when I see it - and it is very pretty. :3
Excellently done, both Mew and Hazzy.
How did I never find out what a good artist Mew is? Wow.
I thought that was Ink's work for a minute... but then, I see. It's got cuter lines than he uses, and Ink never gives female characters a chest that small!
Good stuph! :boggle
(whatever happened to that smiley with the animated rainbow eyes?)
