Annnnnnd once again, Wildy makes the scene.
As calm and cool as ever >:3

She's always calm and cool because nobody targets her with wild and crazy schemes.  Though that's probably 'cause rather than reacting in amusing and befuddled ways, she's much more likely to just maul the prankster.

Did...Wildy just do something that might actually be good?

And with today's update, Dan's face actually looks like him again. People were making all sorts of comments about his new, chisled jaw, but I think the problem was actually the cheeks. The boy just doesn't look right without his round cheeks. >:3

Actually I'm just glad he's wearing pants, I was rather afraid that Abel had mauled his clothes so bad that Ambar was gonna have to do the Austin Powers bit.

That is also a good possibility.

I'm glad to see Wildy already caught up with him and did the right thing.

Mab knows far more then she lets on and I'm pretty sure it's hinted she knows the future (probably because of the way Fae seem to exist outside a normal time line)

At the end of the day Wildy is still Dan's friend, (given a rough definition of 'friend' ) and outside the behaviour we have seen in comic she could be a decent person.

Point of conversation: When Wildy gave Dan a brand (a possible permanent disfiguring mark) it was seen as funny, would it have been funny if Wildy was the one who ended up branded?

I think Wildy falls under the Trickster archetype. The trickster is wise and foolish, good and bad, duality. Think of Coyote, Anansi, Raven, Loki, Puck... They all fall under the same archetype. She's not a pure reflection, of course; I'm not sure you could have a functional character outside of folklore that was.
I don't think it's about her being a decent person or not, I think it's her underlying nature.
Or maybe it's a ferret thing.

I'm not sure how canon that is, regardless, I actually didn't think it was funny :<
Might have something to do with an incident in my early childhood. My brother took a hair drier, snuck up behind me, and pushed it against my rear.
I had a grill mark for weeks.

When I see this strip I can't stop thinking about that spider that webbed down infront of my face, I swear he just looked at me and said "Sup" and then left.

Anyway, maybe Lorenda can help Dan pick out some clothes thought of as polite and fashionable by the Soulstealer family now.

Though she might already know... (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1043.php)

or perhaps some one used some form of phonetic telegraph to keep her in the loop.... (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1048.php)

... (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_410.php) then (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_662.php) again (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1048.php) it might be a bit late in delivery that way.

The karma system is a default thing. If we cared enough, we'd go remove it, but it amuses some folks. It's a shame you're not one of them.

I'm at a loss as to quite why you're disappointed, though. Did you expect a popularity contest to work in your favour or something? This seems an odd thing to expect, given your self-professed lack of social skills.

Quite well, I thought. If you search the forum, you can find the php script I run, since hapless very kindly re-wrote a cgi script into PHP for me - not something I couldn't do myself, but it would have taken me longer, due to being busy with other things that keep a roof over my family's collective heads. Also I suspect he's better at PHP than I am...

Sorry to butt in, but you're taking this waaaaay too seriously.  The karma system is a joke.  We've hinted at this a few times.  We've clarified many times in the past that it's not to be taken seriously and even gone so far as to abuse each other's (the mods) ratings to show that it isn't serious.  For cripes sake, Darkmoon has over -10k.. and it's his board!  So just take a deep breath, look at this calmly and realize that there's nothing to be upset about.  Cripes, I got about 3k over night because Darkmoon, Damaris and Amber were bored and amused by my suggestion that I could rake up negative karma faster than llearch given the opportunity from folks who took this stuff too seriously (which, btw, I did).

Over on some of the Microsoft forums, they give the equivalent of karma for answering questions and giving helpful advice.  One fellow was complaining that because of the time zone he was in, all the questions were being answered before he got to see him.  (I assume that he meant easy questions.)  The responses he received were far more biting than those of Mao and llearch.

On the other hand, I wonder what a biting remark from Fa'Lina would be like. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_534.php)

Adding onto this, I think most people here are smart enough to realize that a number on a screen isn't a good judge of character. So if starcat5 is somehow worried that, uh, everybody will stop liking him because he has over -100 karma, that's just silly. :I

Everyone should take a que from Mao and the box. everything on the internet is just for funzies unless you are desprete or crazy.  I'm sure the mods enjoy what little awesome power comes from being able to slap down those who so foolishly behave in an unagreeable manner.  Yet in person I imagine them to less so pyromanic with their tongue when complete strangers address them or nearby targets.

Feel free to express yourself and stir up what you will but don't take it so hard.  I'm sure the mods don't lose sleep over you, no reason for you to be so defluffed over this.  :)

Ahhh .... Huggles for everyone!
