Title: 06/01/2010 [TDA #7] - There be evil up in them gloves.
Post by: Chairtastic on May 30, 2010, 07:33:22 PM
Okay, so he didn't intend to kebab Jakob, instead he's warding off two Priests. :D  Because them some dangerous Priests.

Any particular reason these two look alike, maybe a religious uncle training his nephew to be a member of the cloth?

"What has happened here, my Evil son?" <- That was a line I would expect from Daryil to Jakob for some reason....neither one of them is actually Daryil in disguise, right?

Probably a bunch of already answered questions, but nyeh.  :P

They're not really supposed to be related, no, but the younger one is a novice and the older priest is his mentor.

No, though as things progress you may find that harder to believe.

My favorite line is "Of course I am evil, I am wearing black leather gloves..."  The priest smirk only made it even more funny.
It also ties into Dan's perception of evil (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_749.php) which made it a personal riot.

Yeah.  In Dr. Who (at least circa 1976) and similar films and shows, the villain always has black leather gloves.  This is my homage to that :3

Well, I guess British television didn't have the help of the black cowboy hat to point out the villain.

I figured it was an off hand statement of the O.J. Simpson Trial.

You know? If the glove fit's you did it. Although I can't really be sure of that.

I wonder if we should mention a character with black gloves at the end of each of are statement for this topic?

A little game to this discussion. No winners just a list of all the black gloved bandit's in the shows, movies, and what not.

I pick Darth Vader.   :B

Sorry about that last statement folks.

But how does this Jacob know its the gloves he's judging them by? Maybe he read their minds. Hmmmm.

It could be the case of the wings, smashed window, missing girl, or the unconscious person.

Actually he's being facetious.

Yep, I remember watching the news reports of him trying to put on the gloves.  If you remember, the white liner gloves they had him put on, he didn't pull them on all the way.
