Okay, seriously, that's creepy. And a bit, well, wrong. Why would Oolong steal Abel's shirts?
Also, Mink is adorable waiting for Abel like that. Actually, he's adorable in that pose in panel 3 too. Something tells me he's not complaining about Abel's current state. Hm… could his modern shirtless style be loosely tied to this?
It seems your post-fu is faster than mine.

However it is, I do think we're finally seeing the beginning of the present-day Abel there....
I can see how someone like Mink would drive someone with Abel's experiences so far to give up on long-term relationships with people.... Even while never losing his heart of gold....
Oolong is one smooth operator!
De-shirtsued!
Why am I suddenly picturing Oolong with a large pile of shirt's she's stolen from Abel (and possibly other students)
When he first came out I thought more time had pasted and Abel was getting into his no shirt wearing style.
Oh god, Mink in the last panel. CUTENESS OVERLOAD.

Why do obsessed fans try to steal the clothes off of movie stars when they mob them? :3
Misdirection can work wonders.
Maybe that's why he never wears a shirt any more. Out of habit of not wearing back at SAIA just to deny Ms Oolong the pleasure of taking it.
Curious that the library says "No drinking, no smoking" but eating is fine. I can well imagine Oolong throwing a fit if you tried it, though.
8) How hard would that style shirt be to steal ? Did it not have a proper collar ?
Hmm perhaps the library incedent involved the first time able decided to try to go into the library shirtless only to have miss oolong steal his pants. I can se mayhem insuing

I think that since Cubi normally don't need to eat (except for the younger ones), it is not likely that they will bring any snacks to the library. Though, according to this logic, they are not likely to bring any sorts of drinks there either.. :/

Well... think who will be the one eating at the library. And what will be eaten.
Or, what about combining the yesterthread's "Oolong is the library" with a popular internet meme... "In SAIA library eats YOU!"

Shirtless Abel is Shirtless......... along with those odd sleeve thingies that he seems to often wear throughout the series......
and I think people are probably right about Oolong stealing Abel's trousers if he turned up shirtless >:3 Although why it'd case Oolong to ban Abel from the Library andn use one of his feathers as a quill is quite beyond me at the moment :D
Mink in the last panel is squee-dorable. *kidnaps him before anyone else gets the same idea, then puts on his best nonchalant look.*
As for Abel and his shirtlessness, the only thing to come to mind is that I have heard the phrase he's using in actual conversation. Cursing, of course. The fact Abel didn't seem to notice until he glanced down also amuses me.
Also, notice how his belt changes color from the comic before it to the comic after it.
For those who do not care to look, it is blue beforehand, and brown afterwards.
*dances* :zombiekun2
I wonder if Oolong is planing to smelt all the shirt she's stolen into one huge wallpaper for the library?

Really? I couldn't get a clear view of his belt at all; every time I could see it, it was obscured by his shirt.
Perhaps it's just his shirt, you think?

I actually went back to the previous page and I can't tell if he's still wearing his shirt in the last panel.
Perhaps that is the start of able learning his De-Clothing-Fu! :D
Ah haa, it is all so clear now. After carefully studying Oolong's deshirting techniques, Able perfected his own depantsu.
Edit: Dangit Aki! Go back to ninja school! XD
As for how able would be banned from the library let me ask you how wold you react if you got depanced in public? I imagine Able wold be angry and storm back into the library to retive his pants. Oolong would probaly play keepaway and Able wouldn't be in the mood for games get to rough retriving them

Is it just me, or does her dress actually move?
A few thoughts.
Do we know that it was Oolong who banned Abel from the library. Perhaps Oolong became involved in a few rounds of escalation and Fa'lina banned Abel from the library to stop the antics. We also don't know how long the library incident was before Dan first came to SAIA.
Perhaps Abel came in without a shirt and Oolong removed his pants. Then Abel arranged for two hundred students to visit the library stark naked.
After all, streaking has a long academic history.

I meant that for all intents and purposes, Mink could have shapeshifted some clothes. Meaning Mink's naked.
I cant say that I'm surprised that Abel is shirtless, considering how "friendly" Oolong seemed to be getting in the last comic. Although it was funny. I feel I needed a good laugh, and that was it.
Abel now stands before a choise that could influence the rest of his life. Will he go back for his shirt or will he just get a nother one.
And now on a less bad joke note, I wonder if the trick Fa'lina used to get Abel to go whit Dan wasn't her telling him that she would ban(ish) him in to the Library for several centeries.

Well...
1. :shapeshifters
2. Their shifting abilities allow them to make fake "clothes" too.
3. There's no way for us to know if that "skirt" of Mink's isn't actually a part of the body, as opposed to real detachable element of clothing.
4. There's always somebody on "the internet" that will believe it is the case... Tho I hope that in this case the original "Mink is naked" post was only a joke.
Is something (besides thoughts of some forumites) still unclear?

That was a terrible, terrible joke and you should be ashamed.
I suspect maintaining shape-shifted clothes would take mental effort. Way easier to just, you know, wear clothes. Less flexible, but way way easier. On the other hand, I could see a teacher assigning a no-clothes day as a student exercise. Mink would fail that exercise whenever they lost their concentration, which would be every time they saw Abel...
Considering this page in Project Future (http://www.project-future.org/strip.php?strip=72), Tapewolf shouldn't be surprised about the forumites thinking about shape-changing clothes.
Combining the idea of typical college pranks with cubi abilities does raise some disturbing images.
Aren't I great for bringing this up?
Actually, it wasn't me...
So anyway, why is there nothing about drugs on the door? Or do drugs not exist in Furrae?
I drop by now and then to read the comments, but never felt the need to add anything of my own. But I signed up for Clockwork Mansion today because I can't hold it in any longer:
Oolong is wonderful!
There are comics that go for decades without having an idea nearly as good. I've read the latest few comics over and over in order to savor her.
I'm especially happy to have come here because I learned about the library wallpaper, which I somehow missed before. I've had this computer for over four years and never bothered to change the wallpaper from the original Dell picture, which has gotten kinda dingy. But today I repapered. Yay! *shudder*

"don't need to" and "can't" are two different things. While a mature 'Cubi may not need to eat anything to survive, he/she may choose to, for one of many reasons.
And same thing with drinking... I wouldn't be surprised if a number of 'Cubi do get drunk once in a while.

Intuitively that ought to be the case, same as how they stop dreaming as they become less biology-oriented. But then you have weird things like the sleeping-pill suicide so it's hard to tell. 'Course they could easily have been enchanted pills or something similar intended for Creature use.

Where on the internet did you see a cubi committing sleeping pill suicide? Was it a parody of CandyJunkie's webcam suicide?
All this talk of cubi getting drunk reminds me of this page: http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_305.php
I don't think Dan was ever shown drunk after one of his drinking binges.
Also, on another note, up until this page, I always thought that Mink was a girl. I was like, "wait, where are her boobs...oh, she's a guy." He is VERY effeminate. I wonder what his sexual preference could be...I bet he's at least a metro if not homo.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that tiny panel in that one page of Abel's story.
Well now cubi or cubi related things have stolen everything from Abel. Down to the shirt off his back.
Words cannot express how hard I lol'ed. I have the reading habit to read the previous comic before a new one, so that the message flows smoothly, and considering he had his shirt on in the previous comic, it made me think.....
"HOW?!"
Oolong has the magic touch..... almost literally.
First of all, Oolong is, was and will for ever be, extremely awesome. Can only agree, that is an original character if there is one. I hope we'll get to see more of her in the future, too ^_^

Honestly, I don't think "how would

you are most likely no Cubus. If your friend would wear nothing but loincloth,
you would certainly react a little different than Abel did, too, would you? ;)
