Title: Question about Dr.Ink in #525
Post by: WhiteFox on January 13, 2008, 08:40:33 PM
Why does he have a halo in #525? It doesn't show up in any other comic.

I suppose it could be there like an anime sweat-drop or throbbing-vein, like an emoticon, but I rarely, if ever, see Amber do that.

It could just be part of his outfit formed by his abilities.  Generally people think a halo means good, so it would put them off-guard allowing him to do what he does best.

Could Dr. Ink himself explain this one? Or Amber? It is an interesting question.

I'm fairly certain it has something to do with Gouda cheese. *shrug*

Best I could find was this (http://nice.llearch.net/dmfa_forum1948.htm#ref39) self-description. Seems like it simply appears at the weirdest times.

Apparently a character-specific thing, even though I'm not sure if Amber or Ink came up with the initial idea.

Of course, that post is OLD, so it's possible that there is more recent information...

That has to be it. The sinister doctor enhances his abilities with the power of cheese, it all makes sense now.

If I recall Dr. Ink had a halo in his icon in the old forum.  Further than that I have no idea.

Gouda cheese is, indeed, mysterious and full of mysteries.

Maybe it's that tea he drinks.

the only way Ink gets a halo is if he perches it on top of the horns.

Why does he have a halo in #525?

I always thought it seemed to be duct-taped to his headwings... or maybe he's just shapeshifted to make it look like that.   ;)

I wondered what Dr.Ink was talking about in comic #527. I never quite understood it.  :mowcookie Cookie!!!  :mowcookie

When he's talking to Abel about Edward, nobody (except maybe Amber) knows.  There's a whole speculation thread, but I don't want to look for it right now.

Seems like the sort of thing we'll learn about in Abel's Story.  Or we might not.

Hope that clears it up!   :)

I like his halo it is so deviously deceptive for the rather villainous Inky.

I was tempted to complain about the uprising of gayness in this thread, but I suppose that's an inevitability with anything centered around Dr. Ink.

He means he misses Dr. Ink.  Ink is a fox. Inky foxy, etc.
