(After 3 pages of scanning and not finding a thread, and not sure about how you guys like necroposting, I decided to start this. ^^ )
When I started reading, I found that Jyrass and Wildy stood out to me.
Jyrass is just SO KYOOT. It's adorable how he just develops random crushes. Reminds me of a friend on anoter site..
And Wildy is pure win. I love how she's all "If guys can do it, so can I!!" The world needs more girls like that.
i really like...well...i just love 'em all.
Helpful reminder to all people.
Jyrras has an ass...but it isn't in his name.

Hmm... my favorite would probably have to be Wildy actually... She definately an interesting type when she's not out to kill everyone, heh... though is it me or does she have wings in her very first appearance?

Wings, no wings. Wings, no wings...
Do i have to shout it out?
It's called "Amber started this comic back in 1999 based on a game where half the characters were based on friends who had winged avatars but she quickly realized drawing that many wings with her mediocre art style cluttered so she opted to do without most of them as they served no purpose other than decorative."

I know, I just thought it was kind of funny considering how Wildy wants wings in the comic

Hmm....my favorite character is Prof. Ink. Cruel, intelegent, good color scheme, and you gotta love that evil voice.

Have you ever considered adding a passphrase to the registration system, if the software supports it?
Add a message that says "Enter the fifth word from section 'B' of rule 6" or something, like the old copy-protection schemes you had in games. Might help force people to read them.
Anyway, I think my favourites are a tie between Dan and Abel.
Runners up include Merlitz, Destania in her latter phase, and May.
Jyrras I never really liked, and I have an active dislike for Wildy and Alexsi owing to their overly hostile attitude towards Dan, which I find a bit irritating.
By the way, conspiracies have to involve more then one person, otherwise it's just someone holding a secret.
Yes I know it's a lot less exciting.

System doesn't support it, otherwise we would. As it stands, there's a link in the T's & C's you have to agree to having read, so if anyone blatantly breaches the rules, we
can perma-ban them instantly, if we so desired, on grounds of the rules are there, and we've done everything in our power to make sure they've seen them.
Of course, if you read the rules closely, we could do that to anyone, if we decided we needed to. ;-] Isn't it pleasant to see how helpful and friendly we really are?
Jyrras is my personal favorite, hands-down.
Wildy is my favorite. I like Wildy a lot.(OK, gettin' creepy...)
As far as reading the rules goes... I' still not sure how I got away with necroing a rather old thread for my introductory post, but yeah... don't do it.
I like generally all of them, my top three are, Wildy, Jyrras, and Abel though.
Fave charter dweebs. i guess she so remind me of how i image my daughter would be
it's been almost a year since i've read the over all forum rules i wonder if i remember them all. the seems mostly like common sense and common courtesy things but as the say all thing wane in time. that includes my memory
I think Abel would have to be my favorite. There's something about his character that I really like. Can't quite put my finger on it, though.
Abel, to be honest. He has a whimsical melancholy around him, but sneers instead of sighing. I dig that. He's very British.
Honestly, all of the DMFA characters are just so colorful and likable that I can't help but have numerous favorites. In the standard DMFA comic, my favorite characters are Alexsi, Pyroduck, Wildy, Mab, and most prominently Abel.
In Abel's Story, my favorite characters are Aniz, Glory, May, and Devin. Oh, and Abel again, but that's kind of redundant.

;-]
I like them all in varying ways but here is my list of the top ones I like and why.
Dan: Adventurous, friendly, loyal, funny and a big show off. The kind of guy you would want as a friend if you can handle all the insanity.
Mab: Bubbly, cute, smart, adorable, intelligent, funny and sweet (well... the character she's playing). Mab is like a transformer, she's more than meets the eye, not to mention she has perfect timing.
Alexsi: She's beautiful, skilled, level headed, fearsome and caring. She's the relatively normal one of the bunch but that doesn't stop her from being interesting and worth staying around. Not to mention she's so hot when she's on a murderous rampage :mowtongue.

Actually, last I checked, it was white dragons that had frost breath... at least going by DnD
...that's an interesting question though... which breath weapon would a brown dragon like Pyroduck have?
Stench? Or is that green?
Quote from: llearch n'n'daCorna on December 18, 2007, 02:57:18 PM

Green was poison gas... aaaand according to Wiki... brown dragons use acid just like black dragons..
I tend to avoid going off D&D when I can...so odds are you are likely to find just as many blue dragons who can breathe fire, as there are red dragons that can breathe acid.

Heh... just as long as they don't all breathe fire.
Considering I've yet to draw one breathing anything...they might have no breath weapons at all. I haven't really decided to be honest. It's not something I consider important or noteworthy. :/
Make a dragon that breathes puppies.. >.>
The lusive Poodlegon.
I was just wondering, actually. I based my suggestion on a fairly simple idea.

When did we last see any DMFA character clean their teeth? You'd think with the amount of times I haven't shown them brushing...they'd be ripe with cavities!

If cameos class then Equidna when he showed up as lunch, if cameos don't count then probly Jyrras.
Although i also like Pyroduck due to the whole, he's a dragon.
like Lorenda and Matilda aswell though.
sooo hard to pick a favorite.
not all blue dragons are lightning, not all white ones are ice, im blue and i do ice and fire. lol white ones are albanian/albino, i dunno which spelling fits the beady red eyes n white thing.

OK, let me reword that then... they're apparently bigger then any of the dragons you've shown...
though one must ask.... why does Pyroduck keep his hair in his dragon form? A dragon with hair seems a bit... different... or did he perhaps not fully transform?
I wouldn't say they were necessarily bigger. Red Dragon (from the old Dark Pegasus arc) was pretty large. Also there was a scene of a dragon who had sat on a Pinto...she wasn't exactly tiny. The only dragon I could guess you are using the size comparison is Pyroduck himself.
As for his hair...that's just the way it is I guess. The dragon in the demonology 101 section has hair as well. Some dragons in Furrae simply have manes rather than a ridge of spikes or whatnot.

Hmm... I looked and for some reason I remembered them being bigger... oh well, my mistake..
I want to point out too - I had absurd amounts of fun reading Devin's lines. He was ace, even with the closet homosexuality.
Avoid D&D. It's evil.
If you've ever seen 8-bit D&D, you'll know what I mean.
"Am I getting drunk? Roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk!"
Dragons are pure win. I actually wrote a 90-page screenplay for my creative writing class with most of the characters being dragons.. It died, though. But since I'm getting myself a laptop (YAY!!! ^^), I just might revive it and turn it into a novel.
If you want to learn how to draw dragons, Jessica Peffer (http://www.neondragonart.com) has some books on that. She's quite good. She goes into detail with each type of dragon, including ones from different mythologies. The typical medival dragon is much different from a Japanese one, if you didn't know.
Drakes are the perfect dragons for pets. Travel size! ^^ I once had a dream where I had a very small dragon that would sit on my shoulder...
My girlfriend's mom has a wonderful sticker on her car, that reads:
"Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup."
She also gave me a drawing she did of a pair of drakes around a heart... they SO remind me of Pip.
Okay, now to attempt to steer this thread back on-topic...
What moments made you decide that you really liked a certain character?
For me, with Wildy, it was her "if guys can, so can I" moment where she answered the door shirtless.
And for Jyrras... I don't know. I've just found him so cute! Especially when he was falling for Abel.. That one strip where he blushed and had the little heart thing float up was just adorable. Even though I'm a guy, and straight, I'd so hug Jyrras.

Exactly. It's genius. Everyone assumes I want the praise and attention, and thus denies me any of it, thus fulfilling my grand plan of becoming obscure! It's a work of twisted art if I do say so myself.
Also, if it wasn't obvious: I'm a Jyrras fan through and through, with a secondary spot for Cream and Cookies aka Abel.

I simply loved your lines, I frequently quote your 'You are a cruel and evil boss' line with my own employer. Maybe Wildy should write a sequel.
Lorenda shes smart sweet and damn sexy. :boogie

Finally someone gets it!
I see myself in Jyrras because of his awkward shyness and geeky hobbies.
But I like Dan for his goofiness and heroic sense of justice.
I'm very much attracted to Wildy for her brash ways and strong self-esteem.
But my favorite character?
She's hasn't gotten much screen time...
Only one apperance in the comic...
I really hope my main girl's going to show up soon...
Regina
My favorite is Fluffy. :woot
In the actual story, I'd say Dan for a number of reasons, the top 2 is because he's so goofy yet heroic, and his DDR outfit ROCKS! :kirby :ipod :boogie
In third is.... Regina :love2
Pip.. so adorable and bitey. Nom.
Then.. hard to say but with Abels story i've just grown so very attached to him. <3 Abel

Abel first and foremost... Jyrras reminds me too much of one of my old chars, but he's still kind of cute. Wildy-san... -rubs his chin- Wildy looked great in that blue dress, and her constant friendly threats (which are usually made good on) remind me of myself and my friends. Dan for his awkwardness... Mab because of her shrewd double-personality, and Fa'Lina for the "no running in the halls" bits. Hehe.
Oh god i'm gay for Abel. What have you done to me Ambeeer?! D:
Dr. Ink is my hero. I don't know Ink on the forums, tho, just the comic character.
Second by the slimmest margin, Amber and Fluffy from the QftRs. Honestly, I wish Amber did a weekly QftR. I think I'd actually prefer that to Abel's story. Don't get me wrong, Abel is awesome, but he's in DMFA. And the QftR's are hilarious.

Let's see...I like Wildy, Aaryanna. and Fa'lina in the ladies category. !n the male characters I like Merlitz, Abel, and Dan.
Reasons for the males:
Merlitz because he's a Fire Mage. Dan because he's ends up being the comic relief sometimes. Abel because you can't just tell what he's up to.
Reasons for the ladies: Wildy because she's one tough ferret. The other two because they're beautiful.

Agreed. D= She looked great in that dress, though.
Aargh... I hate this thread, making me choose. I'm a big fan of Wildy too.
Dammit. I can't pick.
8) This could be simplified. Who are the contenders for the worst dressed ?
Psst... if you can't choose which is your favorite, just choose the best character. It's not hard to guess.

8) A good question. Regina has the slight problem of being a Undead member of the Demon race. At the moment, much about her, ( and of her ), is incomplete. So, untill more than this cameo shot of her is shown, I feel she is out of contention in the fav char race
Mab ... simply for this (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_231.php) one.
With Wildy a close second. :)
8) A good guess would be Fa' Lina, with Abel and Aniz close seconds. Mebbe . All to pick, all so good ...
Geeezz, don't make me choose.
Probably Regina, because she's almost only one that hasn't been able to humiliate herself, yet. Merlitz has had his cool moments too.
i've yet to see Fa`Lina humiliate herself.
oh-really now? (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol426.jpg)
Alright... The word humiliate might be too strong for some characters, so keep those flame-o-posts as they were.
Yes, yes, Fa'Lina is a great über creature and nothing can withstand her might ('xcept fae), but I don't really like overpowerful characters. Mortality is what's fun to watch and easy to relate yourself into. It's what gives the character more persona. If you strip the fear and respect towards others, you literally throw away any changes of that person's change to have an antagonist. To prevent this, one would need to create something else that would motivate that character forward and to do this well might not be as easy as learning to play harmonica.

Let's see...I like Wildy, Aaryanna. and Fa'lina in the ladies category. !n the male characters I like Merlitz, Abel, and Dan.
Reasons for the ladies: Wildy because she's one tough ferret. The other two because they're beautiful.
Implying Wildy isn't beautiful can be extremely dangerous to your health.
I knew I forgot something...
i found it cute that she could still behave like that while being headmistress of a school. this was before the displays of power came to the the for mind you. it shows that she didn't take herself all over serious and what have you.
Abel FTW! He, for some reason, reminds me of the Orange Mushroom From MapleStory.

I stopped thinking of her as cute at panel two of 306 (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_306.php). Up until then it was all wacky hijinx.
Also, I just remembered how much I like Photophie. Isn't she cute (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_597.php). I think the rats should have their own mini-arc.

When you're as powerful, ancient, and hot as Fa'Lina, who needs shame?

True, sooo true
I suspect that anybody who knows anything shameful or embarrassing about Fa'Lina is likely to have a mysterious accident or a loss of memory. Given that, I don't think she has to worry about being embarrassed.
*looks over the old comics* AGHH my eyes bleed D: 'A'

8) Nothing really shames Fa'lina, but she really likes her muffins when she gets around to " Plan B " . ( re: # 424 )

We don't know much about Regina. Personally I'm assuming the wing business is simply a magical disfigurement of some kind, rather than a sign that she's dead.
comic # 79 (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_079.php)! omg he likes a girl. amber are you trying to drive me crazy?
