Right. As the general hangout became a complete mess, I thought it only right to start a new one, and this one with an OOC thread. Not for any particular reason, other than to perhaps avoid the kind of pandemonium that we saw in the latest one. Also, for the same reasons this new RP will be limited to a Furrae setting, as several points were received on that particular issue.
Here in the OOC, we talk, we debate and we post pictures and character profiles if we like.
Now for the rules...
- Rule no.1: There really aren't any rules. Go figure. It's a free RP, where people hang out. There are only recommendations and common courtesy, really. Except for standard procedure, as mentioned in rule number 2, of course. These override rule no.1.
- Rule no.2: The standard things; no godmoding, no munchkinism, no excessive silliness at the cost of the RP or the people partaking in it, and no flaming, trolling or other idiocy in the OOC (although I shall say nothing about insults. Read some Thomas Paine). No post- or character-hijacking. Stay IC in the RP, and keep sharp.
- Rule no.3: Ask about things if you want to know them. Ask before you are about to do something you're not quite sure of. Ask about just about anything, really. Also, point things out to people, whether they are good or bad, and do the best you can to keep the thread "clean" overall.
Other than that, it's pretty much free for all. The PG-rating can be discussed, as can post requirements and rules, but generally I would advise people to write more technically and eloquently, rather than precisely. Try and be more suggestive than blatant, do plots if you'd like, insult and get angry with people IC, but don't carry it outside... Really, just RP to your heart's content.
That's it. Stygian out.
So, there is no problem bringing in the same characters from the lounge? Or are you looking for something completely new? I was a tad confused as to what you meant when you mentioned what you planned on having happen next.
Second customer. :P Well Boog, it probably wouldn't be the same characters from the Lounge, they'd be standardized to Furrae, as said. Also I think everyone's agreed to start over as from a clean slate.
Well, we're not resuming old events from the Lounge. After some points and hard thinking, it was decided that it was best to introduce something completely new. This means that new people can get in, old players get to work out things they might have wanted to in the old thread better this time, and there will be less randomness and general incompatibility.
*sneaks in and signs up*
Adds her name below Gareeku's.
Of course, I shall want to get in on these fun and games.
And we shall be wanting to have you in! Just remember; it's big, spooky, and though the portcullis is up the place is dark and empty as for now.
sounds fun. I'm in but i have a question. what is munchkinism?
It's the art of making a character too powerful for everybody's good... Have a look at Fa'Lina, for example.
ah thanks. i believe that robots and cyborgs are acceptable for the new rp but i think i need to figure out how i came to this place. i guess random exploration works best but i think i'll watch a bit more to see what the tone is.
Its Furrae. There aren't any robots or cyborgs.

Its Furrae. There aren't any robots or cyborgs.
There's Robo-Gryphons. :B
Well, one. Manufactured specially by Jyrras. But then, we don't know how many have been toying about with things like Deebs and such... Though I strongly suggest you consider going for an alternative, E.
will do. i think i'll go creature this time around. maybe a demon or a were. any suggestions?
'Sall up to you. Me, I think we're not on a shortage of weres with their rarity and Cog around, but we seem to be lacking heavily in mythos.
Also, I think you'll find the main gate is locked, but there's a smaller side entry if you walk around that is not...
Hey, it's not to late to sign up right?
I promise that my RP posts aren't as.... disorganized as my standard posts.
I still need to make a character however... are we using current Furrae time? I would love to play an undead :3
Current time, about, yes. Perhaps a bit later, but we're not counting centuries here. Oh, and you do whatever you want. Although I have to warn you about the "behave as in IC" part, which might put some people off against undead.
I'm in! and I promise to keep strictly to secondary characters (mainly cause I want to)
If I mess-up, feel free to yell at/scold/tsk-tsk me.
aww man and i'd just decided on that as well. no worries i'll rewrite my character and cancel out his undead situation. now i need another reason for him to be wondering though.
I love a challenge ;3 I hope you don't mind me posting character stats here >.>
More to come in a bit.

Oh, dear... Ehm, Jim? Might it be an issue if my character is a six foot, two hundred pound bat...? Not to mention an overwhelmingly creepy and sinister one?
No, I'm not really concerned about that. In fact, I'm pulling one of my trademark grins right now. It will make for good drama later on...
question form my reading Gareeku, Ashia ,Mel and Cog are at the front gates. i've just pushed my way into one of the sidedoors. i don't know were Jeremiah is. am i wrong about the layout?
The simple answer is probably yes.
Edit: I am forced to point out the third rule. People are obviously being very confused as to locations and specifics right now. If you'd have asked me, I could describe the place's precise layout to you, or drawn a picture. Please don't keep this up...
School... killing brain.... entry post.... sucky....
We're just pulling away from everybody. But I will make sure that people have their part. Trust me.
Gah, sorry I didn't post today. I've been swamped >.< I'm too tired to make anything resembling a coherent post, so I will try to take care of that first thing in the morning
i know how you feel. i was have connectivity issues and decided to spend a few hours writing before i knew it it was 3 am an i was online again. this would have been expect that i was to tired to catch up. but now time to catch up.
E, please pay attention to what is being posted. If you can't do that, then really you shouldn't be RPing. I've told you about the bats twice now, so play accordingly.
i've reread the posts i skimmed before in my rush to catch up and i see what i missed. I'll edit my last post and try to not be in such a rush to catch up now.
I'll quit junking up the ooc thread after this Stygian. Sorry >.<
Due to events in RL my free time is going to be... limited at best. So, to make a long story short I think I won't be able to join this rp.
Is it too late to join on this Stygian?
I promise to be good, since you are clearly the GM in this RP. I will watch this thread as well as the RP thread....

Sorry to tell, B.H., but I've been receiving some pointers. The laser pistol and skiff have to go, as does the rocket. A regular pistol wouldn't be a problem with me, or even sixteen... but that's the way it is. Also, please don't rush in so fast. You've covered practically all the distance into the castle in one post.
And please try and stick to one tense?
Thanks.
Oops, a pistol is fine okay 10 shots no loads...The brace is gone fine. If I am too far in the castle, I can be in the kitchen wall instead just before everyone goes on to the library. BUt I will wait for you to said where I am.

Ah, what the heck. Is it alright if I get in on this too? I was watching you guys a bit during the original thread, and this looks like a lot of fun. :eager
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Sure. Come on in! Just mind the bats though. They tend to eat people who can't behave.
Happy day. I'll be sure to get started on my post once I've looked over everything again. I just need to figure out different ways to enter the castle. :eager *opens an umbrella to keep the bats away*
For now, here's my character's profile. Excuse me if it's a bit lengthy, I just wanted to get all of Keaton's stuff down, save for her history. I might write that in a story one day.
Name: Keaton the Black Jackal
Real Name: Katherine Beatrix Jyraneth
Nicknames: KBJ, Keaton, Keats, Notaek
Age: 519
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 110 lbs
Family: Unknown for now, but possesses a Warp-Aci named Xianxi
Species: Black-backed Jackal - Canis mesomelas
Race: Succubus
Hobbies: Hunting, puzzles, drawing, reading, writing, soul-stealing
Build: Athletic, somewhat muscular
Hair Color: Dirty blonde
Eye Color: Brown (right); Pale brown (left)
Often Seen: Creating chaos, committing some random atrocity
Most Known For: Being a 'victim' of the Jyraneth Massacre which destroyed their hidden city, her rampant havoc-creating and soul-stealing
Alignment: Questionably Lawful Evil
Special Abilities: Shape shifting; innate control on Dark Magic; ability to blend self into shadows and use them to cloak herself; amazing acrobat and cat-like reflexes; other natural Cubi abilities; powerful Morningstar club wielder. Vulnerable to Light Magic despite a keen understanding of it, and cannot camouflage herself using the shadows if the area she is in somehow becomes completely devoid of darkness. Not very durable despite above-average stamina.
Best Trait: Determined, quick-witted, playful
Worst Trait: Sadistic, obsessive, brutal, borderline insane or immature
Favorite Food: Humiliation, Suffering, Sushi
Favorite Color: Black
Appearance [Partially Stolen from the Honor Circle RP and Modified]: 'The anthropomorphic jackal was reasonably young, perhaps around the age of twenty, and athletic, surprisingly confident in how she carried herself for her size of five-foot-two. Her hair color was plain enough, a shaggy dirty blonde, and her eyes chocolate brown—although one of them was considerably duller than the other—from behind the oddly mismatched lenses of her glasses, but everything else that topped the girl off was wildly abnormal.
Curling outlines of sable-splotched, abstract markings branched along her body from head to toe, forming a rigid mask of crescents and jagged streaks along her face, vines hiking up her arms and the tapering points of her elongated ears, streaks down her vulpine tail, and webs on her bare, clawed feet. A bizarre, vaguely '7'-shaped marking was engraved on her right shoulder, underlined by tribalesque, flowing scars of equal depth. Both had been somehow drenched in ink even darker than the shade the girl's markings were in, same with a thick scar around her left eye. The rest of her fur unmarred by the shadowy tattoos was a vibrant shade of saffron-yellow, sharply contrasting the darkness sloping along the jackal-woman's body. Creamy yellow of a lighter shade coated her muzzle, chest, and the underside of her tail, occasionally overlapped by the coattails of her gnarled markings.'
Although she prefers to keep them hidden, her head and back-wings both possess the same, elaborate markings, spreading along the muscles, outer membrane, and up the sets of two-fingered claws on the upper joints, like spidering waves. The inner membrane of her wings are of the same cream color as her stomach and muzzle. Her clan marking, which is emblazoned in white, is located on her right hip. Her glasses are outrageously mismatched, as the right lens resembles a half moon, and the other an enormous oval filled with abstract patterns of stained glass.
Weapon:
Catastrophe, sometimes known as Kytharion [Also Stolen from the Honor Circle RP]: 'For a moment, Keaton looked down at her weapon: it was intricately designed, from the spiked globe crowning the handle, to the long, elaborately engraved hilt. The same symbol that was carved on her shoulder was etched just beneath the club's head in pure white, the only splash of color on the otherwise completely melanoid weapon. The Morningstar was almost her height, and despite its size she could wield it quite effortlessly.'
Notes about Catastrophe: For an undetermined reason, Keaton absolutely insists on referring to Catastrophe as a 'he' and a living entity. Also, she has a tendency to chain it up at night or keep it sealed up somewhere, also for unknown reasons. Keaton can wield Catastrophe almost like a baton, using it to orchestrate Dark Magic and somehow brandishing it almost acrobatically despite its barbaric structure. This is due to the fact that the weapon is completely weightless thanks to a charm she placed over it. Similarly, Keaton can also augment her Morningstar's properties and use it in different forms by imbibing it with magic, altering its shape and enhancing it.
Okay, I went a little crazy...

Very good! I think this would also be a good opportunity to point out that character profiles are appreciated! So I'll go fetch my own...

~Keaton the Black Jackal
Name: Sebastian Samael Ignatz Don'Chel
Nickname(s): Stygian, the Don
Age: ?
Race: Angel?
Species: Predatory bat
Family and Association(s): The Don'Chel and Caerule lineages, The Sacred Order of Justice
Place of Origin: ?
Physical description
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 200lbs
Build: Athletic, long-limbed and lean. Compressed and hard.
Eyes: Gray
Hair: Whitish-blonde
Fur Coloration: Whitish-blonde
Distinguishing features: Decidedly handsome, with well-shaped features. Somewhat pointed muzzle, with a flared tip. Lips curve up slightly over the tips over a pair of long fangs. Has five distinguishing scars; a pair of thin ones across the right cheek and side of his lips, a large, cross-shaped one over his heart, and two large ones on his back where his wings used to be. Mostly wears all black clothing and a pair of slim glasses.
Biographical and general information
History: Sebastian is not exactly the kind of man to tell anyone of his past, much less leave an account of it. The name 'Ignatz Donovan', an obvious and admitted allusion to his own, appears in a few records and rumors, but at very few times and far in between. Those who know how and where to ask may find out that he is a person who appears in many rumors and legends, most often depicted as some sort of spectator, arbitrator or chronicler. His real name also occurs in the personal accounts of the former Rector of the Academy of Haszal, and the diary of one Amy Don'Chel.
The name Stygian though, is certain to provoke much more of a reaction, at least if mentioned in the higher circuits of power. Few are certain about the identity of this figure, but he or she is infamous as one of the more mysterious and influential dark mages around, and affiliated with many evil powers. Some would also say that he or she is an assassin, a thief or a prophet of some sort. Regardless, he is at the heart of a number of reputable incidents that have taken place for some time back, although almost never in the foreground. He is charged with many cases of murder, property destruction, theft and the utilization of forbidden magic, and is widely considered to be one of the most wanted individuals in existence.
Personality: Mainly sly and sharp, even sinister and vicious at times, often with a chilly touch to him yet far from entirely cold at heart. He can sometimes shift moods quickly, and often appears quite mercurial, yet he is slow to anger and as a rule his perceived actions and feelings are little but a front. He layers these like he plots, complexity and unpredictability having become a habit of his due to past experiences and his line of work.
Despite his first impressions and his tendencies though, Sebastian has a certain warmth to him that only shows once he is with those he trusts or regards as friends. He almost never directly lies to anyone, nor does he ever commit an act of evil without a to him very clear purpouse, and he regards unneccessary cruelty and malice as the worst kind of sins. And once his intentions are assured one can depend on him to the very end.
Abilities: Sebastian is an expert dark magician, and besides possessing the characteristic speed and senses of an Angel, honed even sharper by training, he seems to have a number of abilities and traits that are unusual or do not tie into his racial belonging. He usually does not use magic directly for combat, being more of a ritualist, but instead seems to be able to manipulate and control darkness in some way, using shadows and negative energy to deadly effect. He has also proven capable of extensive shapeshifting without the aide of conventional magic, and has often displayed a general prowess and power that far exceeds what should be within his natural capabilities.
Trivia: Sebastian is an Angel, or at least it would appear so, yet he does not have any wings. Not because he doesn't show them, but rather because they were cut from his back, where he still bears scars. How they once looked it would seem only he knows.
Sebastian possesses an angelic voice, and is quite the singer. He also plays some instruments, his favourite being the guitar. He loves two particular genres of music; classical, and black metal.
Sebastian both smokes and drinks regularly, yet does not seem to take any harm from it whatsoever, much to the dismay of some.
Though magic is his forte, Sebastian seems oddly fascinated with technology and science, and hopes very much to unite the two concepts some day. His favorite kind of machines are motorcycles.
Through the magic of cut and paste:

Species: ice with just a bit of lightning
Family and Association(s): Grandmother L.L.; brothers Barron and Rage
Place of Origin: Kanek city (a dragon city in a secret location)

Weight: varies with size from 1¼ tons to 10 lb
Build: slinky
Eyes: bright blue
Hair: none
Fur Coloration: no fur but pearl colored scales
Distinguishing features: is quite small for a dragon
Biographical and general information
History: Youngest grandchild of the leader of the Icewing clan, famous/infamous as information brokers, she was raised to work in the family business. She is a gatherer, copying memories out of people's heads, often without them ever knowing. Had as normal a childhood as anyone could living with her grandmother.
Personality: friendly, curious, calm, when flustered she can revert to formal, almost stuffy, manners. Small and sickly as a child she was raised to believe she's fragile and tries to avoid physical confrontations.
Abilities: Illusionist, ice magic, sizeshifting, touch mind/memory reading, teleportation, lots of elemental magics, healing and an odd assortment of other spells picked up over the years. Is able to put her illusion magic and memory skills together into traps.
Strengths: Very quick and strong with the magic she has. Thoughtful fighter, team player.
Weaknesses: because of her belief that she's small and weak she tends to sabotage herself due to lack of confidence. Has a magical/visual learning disability that forced her to learn to use magic in a very odd way that keeps her from learning some types of magic.
Trivia: Trying to escape the family business she ran away from home and trained as a jeweler and actually still owns a jewelry store although she seldom has time to visit it. She's quite a good jeweler, specializing in enchanted objects.
I should have one of these too, huh? Fine, fine.
Name: Jeremiah Ac'Gregor
Nicknames: None
Age: about 28
Race: Being, frog
Family and association(s): Lets not go over everyone, it would take forever. Main figures in his life would be two best friends, Marcus and Henry, his grandmother, Gramma Ac'Gregor, and his brother, Nickolas.
Height: 5'9"
Weight: About 140 lbs
Build: Somewhere between wirey and stick figure
Eyes: Green with yellow flecks
Skin: A mottled, different shade of green
Hair: Reddish-brown, long and shaggy
Personality: A wiseacre who considers nothing sacred to his sense of humor, and definatly no hero on account of being far too aware that he's mortal. At times questionable sanity, due to his curse, but usually only shows when Jeremiah is under incredible mental strain. Quick thinking and resourceful when the situation calls for it. Loves reading, writing and drawing (at times jokes that he should have just taught "generic creative visual things") and has a bit of a philosophical streak.
History: Jeremiah lived a fairly average life, teaching art at a high school. Of course, the inherant risk of teaching anything is students. One of his, a demon disgruntled with his grades in numerous (that is to say, all of his) classes, went on a rampage through the school one otherwise pleasant thursday afternoon. However, this student was apparantly as inept with spells as he was in calculus, because when he tried to curse Jeremiah he botched the casting. The backlash shattered the student's arms, and the lasting effect on Jeremiah was what he calls his Inexplicable condition.
The spell created five magical personalities, each named after a word used in the casting of the spell. Their names are In (break), Nex (isolate), Plic (steal), Cab (command/alter), and Bal (decay). They weild a respectible amount of power, but it's power that Jeremiah has little control over.
The personalities acting against his wishes, coupled with his understandable frustration toward creatures when the student was released by a jury of his peers, drove Jeremiah toward bitterness and seclusion. He would probably be a vagrent adding to the world's more macabre folklore with his curse if it wasn't for the actions of his friends and family. Even so, he harbors a deep grudge against creatures, namely those known for adhering to the demonic "might makes right" mentality. They say he started researching the making of pipe bombs and staring thoughtfully at his old student's home, but there's no proof.
He himself became prone to journying far from home for months at a time, keeping little company. Sometimes, he even has a destination in mind when he does. His curse prevents his holding a job for too long except as a substitute teacher, but his travels make that impossible anyway.
Strengths: Illusion and hypnosis related spells, creative use of otherwise small spells, running, fishing, panicking, and stand up comedy.
Weaknesses: Where to begin? His curse fuels itself off his own magic, leaving him with little to work with for spellcasting. Save from the barest self defense classes from his dad when he was young, he's had no training in any manner of combat.
Trivia: Only recently got glasses and is sometimes still astounded at the difference in his vision between now and before he had them. Shy around women who he's attracted to. Right handed. Is deeply opposed to getting a haircut.
Eh, Gar, Cog killed the fenris one page ago. Apologies, sir.
Problem solved, with permission from Styg.
Is it too late for a total newbie to dive in? I don't really have a character/sheet but I could make one from looking at everyone elses, the closest thing I have to a character is my guy in the suit and the shades in my avatar, or does he need to be "furrae"
Oh and uh... what is "furrae"?
[sighs, then coughs and straightens, and gives his best and friendliest pointer]
Yes. He needs to be furrae. Now, there are some easy pointers, such as this (http://www.missmab.com/) and particularly this (http://www.missmab.com/demonology.php) and this (http://www.missmab.com/cast.php). Shouldn't be too hard, if you take the time to skim through.
Also, make sure you stay in character, and don't screw things up on purpouse. The suit and glasses can come too, if they want. They're not a problem.
And please try to read some of what has happened on the previous pages. There are descriptions and things in there, if you take the time to find them.
Sorry to be a pain bud, just a li'l eager to jump in and have some fun s'all.
Furrae is cool with me, I've always liked canines to be honest. I have been reading what I can, should I put a description in here or there? Oh and uh, do I just appear or do I start at the castle entrance like y'all did?
Again, Sorry.
Hey, you're not too much of a pain. Nothing like what I've felt before anyhow. A canine is perfectly fine. Though you'll have to post the character sheet here.
Also, if you want to make an entry, it's up to you where. We still haven't gotten P.B. out of the kitchen area, and as previously mentioned, there might be other people trapped in the house. If you can just come up with an excuse for exploring, I think we can place you right in the heart of it all.
Start Here.
Make a description. Find the GM, and ask them if your description is adequate, or if it needs work. If it needs work, keep working on it until the GM accepts your description as fitting his (or her) plan for what the RP is about - that may mean specific species, that may mean certain power levels, etc etc. (note that these are general instructions, and apply to all RPs here, not just this one.)
At that point, the GM will provide suggestions for how you could merge with the party.
In this case, the GM in question is Stygian. I'd suggest that possibly talking to him via PM might be a good first step. Also, following the links he provided and reading all the information therein would be a good starter before bothering him... You may also wish to read the entire archive of the webcomic, as well... At the very least, the last three or four Arcs would be a basic grounding.
(Sorry, Stygian - I'd typed it all, and didn't want to waste it... :-)
Quick question Stygian
I am at the main entrance,
IS the party caming back this way or should I try to find the library or wait for the other new comers?
PBH
Help appreciated, Crazy Box in Corner. And the party is most likely not heading back to the entrance, P.B. I suggest you get the Hell out of there, on account of my last post.
THanks I call out I few times but I was in the middle of the battle.....PBH
Oh.. aheh, well I'll try and be less of one. I'll try posting a character here, I'm a li'l nervous about screwing it up so I'd appreciate constructive criticism y'know? Just point me in the right direction and I'm sure I'll be just fine.
Right... here goes nuthin'
Name : Unknown (75 is tatooed upon his wrist)
Nickname : Depends on whatever he is named by whoever he is with. "75" "Suit" "Shades" "Agent"
Age : Appears to be in his 20's yet it is unknown to even himself
Race : Canine
Family : No traceable routes or associations
Height : 6'3"
Weight : 11 Stone
Build : Average, some apparent arm muscles
Eyes : Hidden behind shades (Blue/Green)
Fur : Black with Grey starting from his chin down his front to his waist.
Hair : Brown, short and neatly Gelled.
Distinguishing Feature : Apparently never removes his shades, even when indoors
Biographical & Generical Information:
History: 75 was once a man with promise, he was an ambitious youth with everything to hope for before his town was destroyed in a mysterious attack from an unknown foe. Needless to say none survived, even he believed himself dead before awakening flat on his back in a forest clearing, the bright blue sky's sheen forcing him to wince. He found himself in a finely tailored black suit, clipped Black tie, white shirt and polished shoes which shimmered in the morning light. He found a small card in his breast pocket accompanied by a pair of sunglasses. The card simply said; "75, we spared your life so that it might service our cause. Wherever you awake will be of our choosing, and whatever you do will be according to our design." The canine did not think, he did not speak, he simply looked at the tinted black shades and placed them over his eyes. He rose to his feet and dusted himself off, and started walking.
He never knows what he must do, all he knows is; whenever or wherever he awakens, he is the wrong man in the right place.
Personality: He says little unless necessary, his shades and formal expression and mannerisms discreetly hide any emotion that might appear in his face. He remains distant from any who might try to befriend him.
Abilities : Expert in hand to hand combat, can endure obscene amounts of physical pain and makes a good leader in dangerous situations. He has no magical abilities.
Strengths : Fast, high endurance and will power. Morally upright.
Weaknesses : Not very Charismatic, is vunerable to magic.
Phew, I know it was bit of overkill but I'm still new to this, is this okay? anything I need to change? If I'm good to go could you give me an idea of how/where to start? just a li'l guidance ya know?
Thanks again.
Unconventional, but good. Yeah... I think we can place him somwhere. Like, say, vaulting over the railing on the balcony in the entrance, yelling at P.B.; "Look out! Spiders!"
Forgive my outburst but... Squeee!
Okai, Aradorn was telling me about how to RP and its intricate details. I don't wanna mess up on my first post so I figure it should be good.
I understand I cant do too much in one post, would that be like "75 jumps over the railing and lands on the balcony" Of course, it'd be longer and more detailed but thats basically it right? Or do ya need me to describe how I ended up at the castle in the first place?
Thanks Again Again.
I'd say it's better if you say that you dart out of a corridor and have 75 yell something while pulling P.B. along at this stage, and that you say that ginormous spiders are following you.
Ah, the 'ol grab them and start runnin "Quick! Theres stuff chasin me! RUN!"
Can do Chief.
Right, I threw myself in there with the spiders just like ya said, hope its okay.
Bunny, please try and take some action to rationalize the formulation, and the separation between speech and actions in your posts. It's hard to read. I'm saying this on behalf of everybody.
wow i get busy a few days and suddenly the story jumps five pages. god work i'm enjoying the read.
You are right... I will keep all my speech in bold and quotes Thoughts are "Italicized" like most everyone
PBH
PS Where did Bunny come from? This Bambi Hunnydew signing off...
Um, Boog? I'm sorry to put a dent in your drama here, but you know how Aisha's been using an incantation to unlock the bracer? Only she can unlock it...it shouldn't come off by itself.
Will that mess up something?
Noticed, actually. Thing is, Jeremiah's curse interacted weird with the specter venom (or whatever you want to call it), so the "specter mentality", if I may call it that, has been pushing against the bracer to get loose.
EDIT: PBH, Jeremiah took a wrong turn. He's probably not within line of sight of the chapel. Within hearing, yes, but easy to mistake for anybody else who happens to be laughing until he does something harmful to his vocal chords.
My dearest apologies to all of you, but life has intervened in such a manner that it's not feasible for me to keep up with the RP in any reasonable manner. In essence, I suppose, you've lost track of Cog in the spiders. Perhaps he was eaten. Perhaps he will return.
When time and circumstance allow, I'll try and continue again. :(
Oh man, sorry to hear that, Cogi...here's hoping things go well for ya. :mowcookie
Malicious, in your last post you referenced Mel as a dragon, which she is, except that right now she's wearing the illusion of being feline. If 75 can see though illusions he'll see her as a dragon. If not he's going to be seeing a rather small (5'0") young looking snow leopard. Just so you know when someone else calls her a feline.
Ahhh, sorry, I've read from your profile and you're described as a dragon in that, disregard it as a typo.
Not a problem. I wasn't sure if you had the ability to see through her spells or not. But everyone else is seeing her as a leopard. We have a lot of female felines at the moment and sometimes it gets confusing who is being referenced.
Naw, s'entirely my fault, I shoulda read the previous posts in more detail. 'sides, it'd be cheating if I could see through your illusion.
Hunnydew, I have to remark that you are going very fast, and that you are about violating rule number two quite a lot. I am sorry to say, but I happen to be the GM here, even if this is a "free" RP, so this means that I am more in charge of circumstances and plot and that I don't want you or anyone else veritably stealing it and running away with it. Because things are as they are, and because this is supposed to be more lenient an RP, I am going to play along for now, but please be more careful in the future.
Also, I have no idea how you imagine the layout of the castle, nor do I think it would be a very good idea to lock the others out with the spiders...
Wait A minute I do not think I closed the door yet.. I all I said was that the door was repaired and call people back in the chapel. But I will check again>>>
Thanks for not acknowledging Gareeku's presence. :rolleyes
You're a badass, Gar. I'm sure you'll cope. :-)
Stygian
I wish to say I'm sorry and my post was misunderstood... I wish to make a mends at the new Post..
I promise to slow down and let other players their turns, and give you a chance to post.
Questions: Does or Did the entrance into the chapel have a set of a double doors?
Was the doors made of great oak wood and iron brackets? Are or were the pews made of the same hard oak and iron?
I will post more questions like this in the future
PBH
It's allright, Bunny. Just as long as you keep more focus on your character, and don't try and solve every problem in less than half an hour, I'd say everything is going to be fine.
Yes, the chapel doors were double, and made of iron-reinforced oak.
People are near death left and right, what am I going to do? ... PBH
I'm not near death. >_>
I think everyone's still gonna live, Bam. Don't try to solve everything at once, we're all kinda working together here.
Yah, it'd be terribly lame to die after only being in the game for 5 minutes.
Quote from: Prof B Hunnydew on March 06, 2007, 06:55:55 PM

Last I checked, I believe Keaton is only trapped in a nearly inescapable web of spider-sticky (that did NOT sound right). She's nowhere near death, just unable to move properly, struggling, and VERY pissed.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Jeremiah (for a given value of Jeremiah) has taken an unpleasant thumping and is not in the most mentally stable of states, but I wouldn't say dying per se. Honestly, he's probaby doing a lot better than he's been in the rest of the RP :rolleyes
Ehm, Bam... You're doing that thing again.
What ? I haven't done anything, .... yet. little back story and a little light .. See I am waiting
But thanks guys on the updates and I am trying not to steal the ball.
:giggle PBH
Say, Bam? You might want to read my last post a little carefully...Aisha threw the boomerang at the spider attacking 75 before she did the chandelier and pretty much sliced its head off.
Bam, could you please explain the logic behind the magical system you are currently using? What is this green glow that can unmutate spiders that have been growing in dark magic for 164 years and heal the injured with a hug. This seems a bit miraculous and instantaneous. I hope something this overpowered has a major payback involved.
Yes, Bam is burning an awefull lot of energy which is she is going to pay for in a very short time.
I will be out of the game for a few days in about a minute game time and I will be without magic for a day or more of game time.
Please do edit, Bam. If she's such a beginner with spells, and if Mel who's a Dragon can't heal someone that quickly, then it's a bit annoying to have everything fixed in a jiffy. Who knows what Malicious was thinking? He might have been planning something. And there goes that thirty-minute thing again.
We are trying to keep the power levels very much in check here, since the last RP suffered great flaws and setbacks because we couldn't there. Read through the Lounge and see. It's all... well...
Point is, even if Fae have insane magical power, we are still assuming that these things are difficult, arduous and strenuous.
Yeah, don't worry bout me Bam, afterall, it says in my character sheet that I can get the s*** kicked out of me and still get up again. I'm not planning on hittin the great RP in the sky just yet. ;)
Okay Okay
I am going to do some research and refine some of my abilities. Fae maybe Powerful, but they are also self limiting.. So I will refine my spell books and power levels. No, nothing to much higher than what I first posted...
I also know of my problem with TIME, since I join the RP no more then maybe 10 minutes has gone by. So, I will step back for a few days, but I will be watch the thread, and learn RPing all over again.
PBH
Yeah I get that problem too, timezones and all that jazz.
Bam, figuring out how to run a magic-user is hard work. I struggle with it every post. You might want to notice that when I'm unsure I often just write that Mel is going to try something and let Styg post if it worked or fizzled. And if your pendant is an enchanted object you might want to add it's abilities to your character sheet.
Thanks Mel
I will be outline all it's abilities, and post here for approval, and I found that when Stygian remove my missile bracers from play, I was more weakin than I thought once I started playing and then overdid it with my compensating....another reason to step back and regroup. I am not angry, but playing RP via a message board is a little more challenging, then I thought, and spells need a set system. No worries, I will have everything work out and clear it with Stygain... before I start again.
And I will be re-read over your posts Mel, to learn proper spellcasting...
Thanks...
PBH
hi i'm kinda new :P but you won't mind if i join if you don't mind i'll post my charry here :)
Nope. Go ahead. Hope you've read the comic, and know how to write longer posts than that though. :P
witch comic :O lol ok let me fix and post the charry
Styg means the DMFA comic.
yes i know i was being a smart ass
Name:Kerag Sean Luo Nickname Bad luck
Age:25
Gender:Male
Species:Cubi
Personality:You won't call him the smartest person around but he does happen he has to catch up with what your say sometimes he not a morning person so he a little stupid at times but it happen that he a good fighter not the best but good enough and he has a habit of surprising himself cause he still getting a little used to his powers he not all that talkative he rather go with the flow so it a little hard to befriend him but if you can he is a nice fellow at times.
Appearance:He a cat-like body that is covered in Black fur it not soft or smoothed unless you want to put him in to a car wash witch of course he will hate you for the rest of his long life his feathered wings are the same color as his fur and act like bird wings of unless of course he decides to have heads or some thing pop out of them witch he don't do much shifting his wings so most of the time they look like bird wing that are black. His tail is long and slender but his fur makes look more solid tho. His build of his body is more slender and long but his fur makes him look more solid.
The clan marking is a white flame ring on his uper arm
Likes:wine, fighting, sleeping, running, fruits, meats, and of course catnip :D
Dislikes: noise, big crowds, green.
Strengths:fighting, sleeping, and acting like a fool, fast reaction timing, and his Cubi powers of course witch are pretty limited for the moment.
Weaknesses:acting like a fool, not the smartest cat around.
Weapons: he will use any weapon he can get his hands on knifes swords trees ECT but he happens to have a typical long sword he carries around.
OOC:(from a little reminder i forgot something the clan marking XD)
Bam, you're taking control of Gina. That's an unauthorized action in violation of the rules, no matter what it is. Edit.
Okay revision up... PBH How is that?
Say Boog? You might wanna edit your post just a little. Most of the party started eating, not all of us are in the library yet. Just Sebastian and those he called.
*headdesk* misunderstood. sorry
EDIT: Edited.
Uh, PBH, how can Bam instantly know that the dragon is Mel?
http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_683.php (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_683.php)
Well, I would think that Mel's dragon form would look like somewhat close to... her white tigress and white ice dragon with her ice leaning magic spells... It makes sense...
PBH
Once again, Bam, you're assuming things and getting too convenient. If the house was still haunted, that might be plausible, but it is not. Also, Stygian is hardly so easy to trace. And the poison and the spider are separate.
lol who Bam XD :)
That would be Prof Hunnydew.
She knows who she is, anyway. :-)
:mowninja a well XD we all still love her :hug
Thanks, Rloa
I try to be good
:hug
PBH
A reader's got a question: Is Mel's desire to have the tube returned an act of respect for the wishes of Stygian or an attempt to save herself from more persecution? Is it a selfless gesture or a selfish one? Both? Other motive?
Love what ya'll are doing, keep it up. :)
We get fanmail now? I'm just trying to run an RP here. Wasn't aware that it was relevant to the interests of anyone else.
Anyway, time to get on with more drama. Clues are that Stygian's breakdown-liable, Cog's being more of an asshole than usual which is excellent, Mel is awesomely IC and considerate, and everyone else is keeping it up in style.
:B I Know Nothing! My interests matter Not! What a Nuisance am I! >:3 IGNORE ME‼ :tongue
You do know you're perfectly welcome to join? I have much in store for people still...
Oh, I plan to but I'll wait for things to die down. Heh heh, Plus I seem to be lacking a bio. :animesweat
"Die down"? I think you've got the picture wrong here, my friend...
To answer the original question, Mel would feel that she acquired the item under false pretences since Sebastian obviously wouldn't have given anything to a dragon. He's also scared her enough that she's not taking any chances of him coming to take it back.
I think we're all rather stunned to find someone who isn't a player following along with our game.

EDIT: crap, e_voyager was a player.
At the time, he was involved in the RP. So yeah you are. Don't blame you though, I do the same. After all, what makes an RP fun is that you're essentially cowriting with a bunch of people, and what is written is meant to be read.
I'd kinda like to join. Are characters required to be furries? Because I have two characters in mind, but one's a furry and the other is a subspecies of elf.
Considering that it's Furrae, I really do think that being a member of some certain Furraean species is required. But if you do enjoy a human form, I suppose you could always be a were. It's not like we place any restrictions other than that we stay true to the Furrae universe.
It's a tad long, but I'm introducing a new charater I hope to use elsewhere later on.
Name: RasticChkSckTk VI
Nicknames: Rastic (rah
steek') for short
Sex: Male
Race: Insectis
Species: Chinese Mantis
Age: 56 (still young)
Height- 6' 11" Weight- 180lb
Profession: Owner/President, Chief Broker, and secondary loan officer of the bank of
Rsxksxksxksxksxksxk Savings and Loan (pronounced as a series of rapid clicks in various pitches) Translation: Underworld-Wide Savings and Loan
Family/Associations: Great, great, great grandfather Rastic I, notable as the Bank founder and the one who first started the Bank's business with the Caerule family over 800 years ago.
Appearance: A rather tall and skinny figure, he has stretched limbs which offer a long reach. Each hand has 3 multi-jointed digits. Upon both feet are 3 clawed toes, two in front and one as the rear facing hallux. Most of his exoskeleton is a leaf green in color with two thin brown stripes running down his back to a stinger-less abdomen. Rastic has two large, black and pupil-less eyes and he is proud of the single vertical blue tripe on each eye, a feature considered very handsome among his species. The long antennae protruding from the mantis's head are waist length and segmented with brown tips. Along the backside of each hand are five recurved hooks formed of exoskeleton with razor edges (like the gauntlet TMNT's Shredder wears). Let's just say you wouldn't want a back-handed smack upside the head but you can still shake on a deal. Rastic's posture is kept proud and upright with a business man's purpose in his stride.
History-(this history contains no plot that I plan to pursue. It may seem like it here and in-game at first but I'm not)
A typical Insectis upbringing in his family and colony, Rastic was imbedded with the values of efficiency and sharing the workload. After adolescence he began in the family business. Through his work he was able to travel farther from home to meet with clients. Because of his job he has also taken up a collecting "hobby" to put it mildly.
When word that activity had been noticed in Caerule Atri again, Rastic jumped at the chance to resume business with the bank's most profitable clients or any new owners/residence of the Castle. Long ago when the business had previously died-out with the family, Rastic's grandfather-Rastic IV- had been told by the last known owner that "If a chance to resume their business ever presented itself, then he should return to the castle and seek out one who goes by
The Don to inquire about any transactions. The man is bound to still be around at the time and if anyone will know anything about this place's state of affairs, it will be him. However, I can't be certain of whether or not he will be as pleased or eager to as you... aah yes, not very pleased indeed. Be wary... I nevertheless encourage your bank to pursue a deal of some kind, for it should be
well worth your time." Rastic VI recalls as a hatchling how whenever grandfather retold this story he would comment on the strange way the owner had paused and chuckled to himself while describing The Don.
Both grandfather and Rastic's dad had passed away since then, leaving our friend as the sole keeper of the tale in the family business. But now he has news from the Castle, now he has his mission, now he is on his way.
Personality: Life within a workaholic Insectis hive can raise a creature to be very goal oriented. Also because the race is very isolated, Insectis are new to many things from above ground culture especially etiquette. This leaves Rastic completely lacking of any sense of tact. He cannot recognize sarcasm and most other nonverbal cues. He has difficulty being subtle himself and comes across as blunt and uncaring.
Quote from: AbelInsightful... Brutally honest... same thing. Let's get sodas!
He doesn't mean to be frustrating, he's just socially awkward. Except for business negotiations, don't expect him to handle emotional situations delicately. Rastic is an easily influenced character. This is because in an Insectis hive, when someone tells you to work you do not question the work or motive and just assume it is for the good of the colony. In the past Rastic was tricked into being a client's little errand boy. (This also allows him to be controlled in minor ways by other RPers cause his player is a slow poster) To a more positive affect this makes Rastic a very determined and hard working man. He likes to continue doing things even in his leisure time.
Strengths: He has the common strengths of the Insectis race- high endurance of temp, lack of air, pressure, ect. Earth-oriented magic. The bladed claws of exoskeleton on his hands. Basic training in Praying Mantis style martial arts. Rastic can exert a crushing, almost unbreakable grip. This, coupled with his long reach makes him an adept climber, a common Insectis talent. The shell on the back of his thorax and abdomen is thicker than everywhere else.
Weaknesses: Except for his grip, Rastic has little upper body strength. He is capable of magic but has minimal skill. Lacks knowledge of armed combat. Extended periods of direct sunlight can affect his vision. Cold temperatures can make him drowsy or fatigued. Easily Influenced/Gullibility.
Trivia: Rastic is a fan of the culinary arts and has cooking as a second hobby though he is still vegetarian. He is most active at night. One of his most unique collections is a number a random amulets.

Quite. Which is why vore parties need strict control. And a quick way to the hospital.

You didn't misread her reactions, Bam. But I would rather not have this whole thing getting too explicit. It should be like a good movie - suggestive and serious enough that anyone who's of the right age gets it, but not overly open or explicit. I think that only the violence has permission to be like that.
No Gareeku did stop me from going too detail, and I'm not going into any more detail then I have..

My char has a spell that it not a very safe spell but it a well guarded secret of the clan he is in i don't plan on my char using it but for future reference
the spell summons a dragonic creature the summoner is bounded to the dragon and the dragon to the summoner if the dragon dies so does the summoner and vis versa the soul is used instead of magic so it take some one of great strength of spirit instead of magic. usly the summoner lose sight and must really on the dragon to see around him. Even after the dragonic is summon it takes the summoner at the lest 2 or 3 weeks to recover. The dragonic differs from person to person including the magic the dragon posses. The summoner must teach the dragon as when it summon it knows nothing not even a language.
Kerag's dragonic

Looks: pale white hide a large wing span some what smaller the a normal dragon with a very long tail. 2 horns facing the rear sits on the top of the head the eyes are a crest green color.

New spell base: can not use fire water spell mostly just wind, heal and lightning. Can not breath fire.
This spell can only be used once.

Going for an old horror movie standby, are we Keaton? :P
And how tastefully she does it too... This I really do enjoy.
Is there anyone here who has seen The Faculty?
i have and please tell me home made dope is not the answer / test in this case.
I should go into writing horror stories! :U ...oh wait. I already want to write them. Lawl.
Thanks everyone XD Glad you all enjoyed the post.
I have not seen the Faculty, but Jon Stewart is in it, so I shall possibly watch it just to see a five-second glimpse of him. Then enjoy the rest of the movie.

OK, I still have (checks) 829 posts to read, but I'd like to post my character bio now just to make sure I don't need to change anything, in case I can use her later.
Name: Ketefe Zashia Solowynd (First name pronounced keh-TEH-fay)
Nicknames: Ketefe, Teffy
Sex: Female
Age: 19
Body Build: Athletic
Height: 5'7"
Hair: Cobalt blue, straight, shoulder-length, jaggedly cut bangs
Fur color: Light blue with orchid zigzag stripes on the backs of her arms and legs
Eyes: Bright yellow
Personality: Loyal and kind to those she cares about, but quick-tempered otherwise. She has a fierce sense of justice, and enjoys a challenge. Very perceptive about the true nature of people, and is only respectful when she feels someone deserves it.
Likes: Her boyfriend Jarevei, sword fighting, Queen, acting, wearing costumes
Dislikes: Perverts, people who lust for power, injustice, doctors (almost a phobia)
Appearance: She wears a black tank top, ripped at the midriff, and matching black shorts, also with ripped edges. She'll switch to a black T-shirt and blue jeans if it's cold, but she tends to wear tight flexible clothing because it's a bit more convenient when fighting. She always wears a black mask that covers the skin around her eyes. She carries a lightning-bolt-shaped sword wrapped in a dark cloth on her back. Despite her shady, almost hostile appearance, she's really quite pretty.
History: Ketefe grew up in a small, relatively remote village. Her father, Zionu, was a law enforcer who taught Ketefe to sword-fight, and her mother, Siziel, stayed at home. Her life changed for the worse when she was eight years old. Her father discovered that one of his close friends, a feline named Gareth Transphermi, had strong ties to the mob. Zionu was a smart man, but he wanted to give Gareth a chance. So he and Gareth decided that they would settle this through an honest fight. Ketefe didn't want her father to fight, so she volunteered instead. Gareth agreed, but only if her opponent was his 13-year-old son, Khimara. Despite putting up a very good fight, Ketefe lost the battle and gained a scar over her right eye. She couldn't remember exactly how Khimara had beaten her, though...
A few nights later, Ketefe woke up to find her parents gone, and a clump of red-stained fur on the floor. Fearing the worst, she took her sword and ran. She spent the next ten years searching for her parents and learning more about how to fight from as many people as she could. She also began a career as a vigilante when she discovered just how many people were even worse than Gareth and Khimara. How she and Khimara met again and what happened when they did is a very long story, but she learned from Khimara that her parents are not dead. They escaped with their lives, but he didn't know where they went. She's continued her search as a result.
Trivia: For some reason, Ketefe really likes to cosplay.
Ketefe's favorite kind of music is classic rock, mostly from the 80s and 90s. Following these eras, she also loves Xena, Highlander, and old-school video games.
Ketefe's boyfriend, Jarevei, is blind. He is also a childhood friend of hers who taught her how to defend herself as accurately as most Cubi. Thanks to his training, she has very fine-tuned senses, even for a cat.

Aaaaallright, Black_angel. Got you on that one. Welcome in. I think that we can squeeze you an entry quite soon...
Hm… Well, I think I’m coming into this. This is pretty much, in terms of story, a sequel to Character Lounge, am I correct? In that case, I will be using my same characters, adding one. They will also be slightly modified, since I am assuming this is a “time passes” sort of thing.
Here are my characters for this RP, if you choose to accept them:
- Joat Legend Delia: He is a triple-class (scientist, swordsman, and Qwertish Wizard) wolf incubus. He wields a huge sword made of modified tiberium, can hack (both with his sword and his laptop) very well, has a few inventions (most of them, however, are harmless), and is quite unskilled in magic. In the words of Valencia, “Next time you decide to cast something, don’t.” His magic, Qwertish, is one not commonly used by cubi, or anyone else, for that matter. He is quite brave, but he also has a tendancy to act be a bit reckless. Then again, just about all of my characters share those two traits.
- Sylver: “He” (technically, he has no gender, but he is commonly referred to as male) is a robotic dog created by Joat. He can breathe fire and teleport. He has true sentience. This was proven when his soul flew out of his body and attacked. He has Calica, a holy magic powered by the soul.
- Valencia Renard Young: She is a fox being news reporter. Other than her expertise with guns, she has no special powers. She is, by far, the most impulsive and reckless of my characters.
- May Cottontail: She is the daughter of the now-dead Peter Cottontail (the Easter Bunny). She wields Qwertish magic and is, in fact, the one who is teaching Joat his magic. She likes explosions, which is why her favorite spell is Fireball. Her fascination with weapons of destruction is benign, but it does get scary when she recites the history and mechanics of semtex.
- Cegio: Remember that spirit May was talking to in the car? This is him. He talks to May quite often now. He was the one who possessed May to kill her own father. He still lies within her today, though he no longer actively controls her, which actually creeps her out quite a bit. His words are marked in orange.
- Dent: A warp-aci summoned by one of the few spells cast by Joat that didn’t backfire. He is the only character of mine that is lawful good rather than chaotic good. He is quite timid and shy and will usually flee from danger unless directed otherwise. He glows white and has no clan marking, since Joat is technically an artificial cubi and thus does not technically belong to any clan.
At any rate, might I inquire as to the current in-game situation?
Note: This post has been edited to remove some redundancies.
EDIT 2 (a bit of trivia): Joat has made a habit of entering his friends’ dreams. However, he does not know how to do this while awake. Instead, he can do so in his sleep. The first time he tried this, it was on accident. The incident led to a “team lucid dream” with Sylver, where fun was had by all involved.
First of all Joat, unless you have actually read the RP and caught it, I might comment that this isn't really a "sequel" to the Lounge. This is a completely different RP, different timeline perhaps, non-canon to it. Started over.
And secondly, it's Furrae-based. You might want to think on that too, if that didn't catch you either. :P That was in the starting post of the OOC, and a good thing for people coming in to read.
A complete start-over? Hadn’t counted on that one. Well, those plans are discarded.
EDIT: As for the second part, Joat is a cubi, Sylver is a robot, Valencia is a being, May is a creature (technically), and Dent is a warp-aci. I’d say that other than Sylver’s violation of the new species law, it works in fairly well.
One more note: since this is not canon to the past story, I may decide not to come here after all, since using my past characters was part of the appeal. I still have yet to decide for sure whether I will come in. Give me a moment.
Argh. Due to problems with homework, my driver's test, and after-school stuff, I won't be able to read enough to catch up and post for at least two days. I expect Wednesday to be open, though, so I'll try to catch up on reading the newer posts.
Little note to Boogey, and to other people who might not have known, the last part of the "chill the castle" spell was intended to get rid of the ice. It shouldn't be cold in there any longer. :P
Boogey You just made this ten times harder for me....No no I know you are play this right.... And I know what I will do and the internal conflict for me is just going to drive me crazy.....
:mowdizzy
PBH
Sorry :P figured that the spider usurps a good portion of Jeremiah's will, but his basic personality is intact. If he's gonna be caught out, it's not gonna be that way.
I’ve given it some thought and since the other two RPs I was involved in seem to have crashed, I’ll go ahead and come in here. Ideally, same characters, just different circumstances.
You'll have to get the final nod from Styg as GM, but Professor Bambi got stripped of all technology newer than victorian. You might have a major character rework in store.
Should I really read all the posts made so far before I post anything? Because I'm kinda antsy to start posting, but I'm not even past 300 posts yet.
I think the last five pages contain the majority of the current crisis. Start there.
Well, I figure I might as well put down another one a'these.
As some of your already know, my internet has been compromised severely, and isn't going to change for some time - a few months at least. I probably won't be on messenger for that time, and my posting capacity will be severely limited. I'll try and keep up, but more than likely I'll just be playing catch-up for some time. So, no, I'm not trying to be rude to your character, I just haven't found a way to respond yet. :)
Anyway, I'll miss you guys a lot, and I hope I'll get to see you sooner rather than later. Till then...
...this is Cog, to ground control...
Sorry to hear, I myself am at a limited internet period, but i will have internet assest daily...PBH just not very long per visit

Ah crap, I'm sorry to hear that, Cogi. =/ I'm going to miss you during your messenger absence. Please, try to hurry back, like what PBH said.

…
I’m afraid that the rule that excludes Sylver entirely may not work so well with me. I am sorry to say that I will not be joining this RP, since I was quite set on using that set of characters. That’s a bout of some pretty bad luck for me, because if this RP is similar to the last one in terms of gameplay, this must be quite fun.
Aaaaaand the entry post has been made! Finally! Sorry for the delay and awkward wording of the post, but at least that monkey's off my back!
Hey Black_Angel. Sorry to be a little nitpicky, but Keaton didn't throw the mace. She merely tried to give Gareeku a big ol' thwack to the chest with it.

Quick question - Is Stygian actually shooting tentacles, or is that just Keaton's imagination?
She's not hallucinating that part.
Bam, I am completely baffled by your last post. Can you explain what effect you expect a truth spell to have on the monster? It is evidently a mythos that gets in peoples brains and scares them to death and I don't think the truth is anything more than Keaton made a handy victim. What was your plan behind this action?
Okay I added a clearer information for the spell in my last post, Mel.... I thought my rhyme was clear enough. Sorry I am not clear sometimes even when I have all my vocabulary...
PBH
Hey Aisha? I dunno if Keaton had stood up yet. From her post, it sounds like she was just shifting around where she lay. Just mentioning.
Well, it's hard to tell, time and posts passed a bit between hers and mine. She may have well been able to move after a moment. That and I didn't think it really mattered THAT much, things were chaotic enough even for in-characters to make mistakes of judgement.
But whatever. :P Edited a bit.
Ngh. Due to a school trip (MONTREAL) I will be unable to post for about three days, unless I go to a computer cafe. Do whatever, I migh be back.
With permission, I brought a second character in, and for formality's sake here's the bio of said character. :3
Forgive me if some of the history is vague, this character is one I haven't fully developed yet, but it should be good enough, if a bit long-winded. x3
Name: Rynkura Msh'taan
Nickname: Ryn
Age: In the 900s, but looks like in her late 40s
Race: Angel
Species: Tiger
Family and Association: Unnamed husband (deceased, or so she says), affiliated with the Cabre lineage of adventurers, founder of the Shadowed Depths Monastery of Healing
Place of origin: Unknown
Physical Description
Height: 6'0''
Weight: 170
Build: Strong and somewhat stocky, for a female
Eyes: Green
Hair: Pearl white
Fur coloration: White with bold black stripes
Distinguishing features: Wears her hair in a long braid that trails to the base of her back, and carries a staff enchanted with light magic which looks to be made of strong wood and it clasps a clear blue orb on its end through which most of her magic is channeled; Rynkura is always seen with it. She wears a variety of clothing and sometimes silver armor, but the fabric is always in patterns of blue and white, the colors of her healing practice. She also wears sleeves on her upper arms with a gem embedded in each. Nobody would guess that she's an angel at first, as she has never shown her wings.
Biographical and General Information
History: Not much is known about Rynkura's long life, but as much as she would tell you, she was raised in nobility and taught magic at an early age. She never wanted to stay for too long with her family and left for a life of adventuring when she was in her mid-20's, taking various jobs and learning many skills, mostly excelling in the art of swordsmanship. She had a long career as a paladin and became well-known in many areas for her deeds. After a hundred or so years, she became something of a hermit and spent time away from society to develop her magic, becoming self-taught in item enchantment. Often if an adventurer held something of light magic, chances were it came from Rynkura, sold through other sources, and over time her name was slowly forgotten. Unlike the angels that she was raised with, she didn't wish for power through manipulation of others. To further keep away from persecution of Beings, she started wearing charms to hide her wings and has done so ever since.
During an excursion in which she was called to help dispel a powerful demonic force (though it was unsure whether they were demons or mythos of a similar nature), the demons were conquered and their souls sealed in a blade which lay embedded in the soil of the land for a long time. The energies emanating from it were so strong that nearby villages experienced horrible plague-like effects, also rendering the soil unable to grow anything. With the help of the group of paladins she was with, she helped in containing the blade in a powerful sheath with properties that could reverse its dark energies into an almost unending source of light magic. The effort was costly however, as all but one of the paladins fell victim to the demonic sword's influence, for it had the ability to effectively steal life force and even control those who try to hold it. This event became one of the most horrid memories of her life, and yet she proudly keeps the sword safe as she was entrusted with it. She married the surviving paladin, and though she never revealed what became of him, she still wears her ring.
In her travels, she had decided finally to use her powers to further the business of healing, and made a working monastery out of the ruins of an old castle and standing cathedral in the Shadowed Depths. For about 300 years she was also a trusted ally of a clan of adventurers whom she became very familiar with through their generations. However that too would come to pass, as a demon clan whose name she always found as part of trouble in her years eventually picked off the entire line, bar for one family. It was she who directed them to the village of Soldeluna for promise of isolation and safety.
Then came the catastrophe that would have ended the line of Cabre, if it were not for the fact that one child survived. She raised the girl as a student and a sort of daughter--as she had never had children of her own--also seeing it as a duty to the line that she swore to protect. To this day she keeps in contact with the surviving adventurer's child as help in her mission of vengeance while keeping things running at her monastery as it becomes better-known.
Personality: When one meets Rynkura, the first impression they get from her is a source of strength and seriousness. She takes a leader-like position only whenever she feels that it is needed, and her attitude is straight to the point at most times and commanding. There is something about her even in the eyes of a total stranger that demands respect, and her students would tell you that she can also be strict, though not overly disciplinary. However in her hardened countenance she is also caring, guiding, and makes a point to never fail for those she cares for. As a trained warrior she is also very rarely intimidated (if ever), though she also tries to avoid fights and takes challenges in a stride less than hateful. Rarely will one ever hear her shout, either. She has known to take on an air like that of a calm mentor...though as often is true to her heritage, she can be just as mysterious in her advice.
Abilities: As well as having a great affinity for many types of healing and wielding light magic for defense and offense, Rynkura is also a trained swordswoman and wields them with accuracy and power like that of a master. Her staff however is often the only weapon she needs, as her skill with it often surpasses any blade. Her weakness however is that she hadn't much practice in unarmed combat, and therefore if disarmed she relies on magic, primarily light as well as a mix of lightning and earth elemental skills. She isn't as fast as her student, but she is still lithe and fluid with her movements and retains the heightened senses of an angel, often easily detecting a move before it could be made and avoiding it with relative ease.
Trivia: The staff that Rynkura always carries is in fact the demonic sword that she once helped to contain. However she makes a strict point if anyone finds that out to never unsheathe it, for not even she knows what effect it could have.
Only Aisha knows Rynkura's true race, though she has never told anyone.
Rynkura has a hobby of collecting weaponry; none of them however are enchanted (Aisha holds that fascination instead).
Rynkura fervently keeps out of any business outside of her own, including that of the Creature Council, despite being contacted once or twice. The reasons she keeps to herself.
Rynkura has had practice in every type of healing possible...the only one that she cannot accomplish is mental-based.
A note, Bam... It's a pretty big span between the ballroom and the front door and chamber. They're not even in the same part of the building. Not to mention that Rynkura would most likely keep quiet.

... Dammit Bambi! :U Wasn't there this whole thing earlier about fixing things with a wave of your hand? Jeremiah's curse doesn't work like a normal one, you can't just blast it away. Sorry if I seem unkind, but after building up to this for so long I was rather hoping for the chance to do something.
Sorry Boogey
I thought I said I would try those spells, and it's open for you to still have spider-like powers just not eight legs, BUT if You want the spider-taur look then you can say that the spells didn't work (It was a Dispell Magic, not a re-morphing spell) or that the legs growing back in after a few seconds.
I will rewrite my post a bit, and I'm will be back off alittle. Aisha is distracting me...
Ah, just blasted off the legs? I thought it dispelled the whole curse. That would be bad. Nevermind, my mistake.
*cough* "ow" ?
In that case, it wouldn't affect the curse, just cause a -lot- of pain... No?
Edit:
Nuts. You beat me to the idea. Oh, well. Back to silent lurking...
Boog, how are you picturing the fight scene? Everyone is in the hallway except Mel so I don't understand why you are burning down the door. Both Aisha and I posted that everyone was out of the bedroom.
Whoops! I thought Aisha had closed it in front of Jeremiah and stayed on the other side to defend Mel. My bad, I'll go edit that.
Someone's stealing my trick... :P Anyone say that there was a chandelier in the hallway?
No one said there isn't, beside it is a small 4 candle one... Anyone got a lasso?
PBH
Chandeliers don't hang in the middle of corridors, only in intersections and such. It'd be more realistic if you clobbered him with a lamp-stand or something.
I hate to double-post, but I need people's attention.
Boog, I think that this is all starting to get out of hand. We're pretty much keeping it back so as not to make this go overboard. But don't think that I'll hesitate to let the others kill off your character if you keep provoking us this way. Mind that we've had several shots at it so far, really.
You should also mind that your character is as weak with magic as he is. Those fireballs should reasonably run out quickly. And you can't possibly keep regenerating those damn legs forever. Think a bit here.
Those two handfuls of projectiles were the last of it, and the legs never finished regenerating the first time; they were coming in slow, and kept getting interrupted. He was gonna be down soon anywho, I'll wrap it up.
Also, I'm not sure what you mean by provoking here. Jeremiah's curse isn't something he can control, the specter persona doubly so. I'm not trying to piss anyone off, it's just character development.
EDIT: It just dawned on me that Styg's the only person who actually knows why that happened to Jeremiah, so I'm just gonna explain that here so it doesn't look like that was completely random. When the specter scratched Jeremiah its effect got incorprated into his inexplicable curse, adding a sixth personality to it. The ability of this new facet of his curse is that it can essentially shuffle around Jeremiah's psyche (rearranging what's there but adding nothing) and having those psychological changes reflected in his form. Now, the original plan was for it to make that while the spider was still on Jeremiah; the spider beast was what you get when you emphisized how our favorite victim was being controlled by the spiders. I was building up to it for a while, and was thus peeved when being gone for one day got all the spiders removed -_- so I improvised and had the specter make this out of the lingering state of mind that the spiders left behind.
So, yes. Not random power trip. Carefully planned, character development related power trip, at worst.
Erm, ah, Boogey? Your whole last post is in italics. Ya might wanna change that.
Making an announcement here, guys, my computer decided to go buggy on me and now nothing will even start up at all. I probably won't have the problem fixed until this weekend, either. :headdesk

The frick?! What was that supposed to mean, Bam? I really am having a hard time seeing why you'd suddenly change to monster vines here, when there was plot right before your nose. It's really irritating in the sense that I don't know what the Hell I am supposed to do here. I know it's supposed to be a free RP here, but if it really doesn't lead to anywhere... You know, people were getting impatient for the next morning? Not to mention that we haven't heard from Keaton or Gareeku that much at all.
Fine
PBH
And now I've gone and ticked her off... Yay. How very diplomatic. Listen...
People wanted this to progress, I was a bit too hazy on the plot... Couldn't we just have worked it out from the start? There's no need to be so damn sudden or over-the-top to make things happen. I will try and make this work. So don't feel hindered in the future. Just make it less abrupt.
Sorry, I Was Tick about not really at you....I have not been able to get online much as I like, and I too would like to see what is in store.
The monster Vines and the Father tree can be something for the future( or not), The father Tree was a guardian of the family in a way(it was to help the family to understand each other and watch over them) , and the vines are a monster of envy planted by someone in the Gina family to steal her father's love).
Well, I'll PMed anything more if you like to use this. Little time in my morning online time now for my rewrite on the RP thread so.
Do I need to change anything on more on my last Post? should I have left room for Gina to speak.?
PBH
Hey, um... do we have our timelines mixed up, Styg and Cog? From what I can tell, Rynkura and the others haven't entered the kitchen yet.
Everything is fine. That is all I have to say. Check for yourselves.
Stygian, you old bat... Will you be doing something against Gina? or her "treasure"/guardianship.?
I await on Gina to get her thoughts together, and timeline to match up with the rest.
Hoping not be caught in the middle of a family feud.
PBH
It's much too late for that, Bam. Gina is the angel from before, and we're all about a day and a half from doom.
Bambi maybe acting that dense, but she knows Gina is the angel from before. The question is Will she tell her side of the story?. and How far is Gina really in control of her mind? What does Gina plan for us and the rest of the world?
So how much is an act, what is an act and whose is acting?

Hey, Bam? What exactly was there to scream about? You don't need to change anything, I just wanna know.
I hate to do this to you guys, but I'm gonna be absent from the computer for *counts on fingers* ten days, as I'm going to Rome starting tomorrow. This really is inopportune, seeing as Keaton is now involved in some really wacky dark magic, but unfortunately I can't delay this. I'll try to sneak in some posts before I depart, but basically... if someone can take control of Keaton for a bit or make up some excuse for her absence (like, I dunno, she got abducted by thousands of ants or something) I'd really appreciate it.
I'll scan some pictures we've taken after the trip. And maybe I'll steal the Pope's funny hat and sell it on E-Bay while I'm at it. Or wear it around the house. I can see it now. That would be BITCHIN'.
So generally... I'll see you all after Rome, guys. :hug *loads up her luggage and bows, then swing dances out the door*
~Keaton the Black Jackal
I... wow. um, okay, cya around Keaton. Rome will be quite a trip, and I bet I know someone who wishes he was goin with ya. Who I need to talk to o.o;; now I think about it.
Anyway getting on topic (if there is one XD) I'm gonna be lazy, and ask if anyone has any recommendations for a good, casual RP I could join? I don't have any charactor referances handy, but I can whip one up to suit in very little time. I haven't RP'ed in a few years (except for on MSN, lol) and I do work full time, so the more casual the better I guess @.@;;
Lies and slander! Can we suffer this inequity? Yes we can. With the help of broccoli, everything becomes possible! And relief will come to us in the shape of a dolphin with a tire iron, helpful and stern at the same time. It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!
...
No, seriously. I will figure something out, Keats. Don't worry. Just hope you have a good time! Make sure to check out the art, don't buy too much clothes, and ignore the traffic, and I think Rome will be just fine.
The comment above was really directed at Feroluce. If you want to, you can just hop in here, or you could try one of the less character-driven RPs around the forum. There are quite a few. I recommend looking around, or perhaps asking Ryude or Azz if you see them.
heh heh, that sounded like a quote from the Chef of ctrl-alt-del. And sure, I will get off my own butt and take a look around ^^; But not tonight. Must sleep now e.e
Bam, I may be reading your post wrong, but I'd still like to point out that we're nowhere near nightfall yet. :P
OOOPs I thought we were in late afternoon-near sunset but I will change it.
PBH
Haaaay guys. I'm back. :3
Rome, to put it simply, was fantastic. Completely fantastic. I saw churches and ancient cathedrals, visited the Vatican, and unfortunately did not get to steal the popemobile, but hey, every other experience compensates greatly for that. Hopefully I should have some pictures up some day, but since we took over 100 pictures I'm gonna have to choose some of my favorites.
But I'd like to thank Stygian for taking such great care of Keaton while I was gone. Thanks, man. :hug I would go into an entire tangent, but hey, I'm extremely tired. I was up for 24 hours, total, last night, due to an extremely uncomfortable plane flight and missing a pivotal flight, thus forcing me to take a much later one. Everything went without a hitch until the last day, I tell ya. XD
But yes, I'm back. :3 See you all during the RPs... as soon as I get some freakin' sleep.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Yay! Keats is back! :3
Sounds like Rome was a blast! Get some sleep, and then we want photos! Photos we say!
Oh, crud. Another one's going on vacation! D:
Sorry about the inconvenience, and so soon after Keaton got back, but tomorrow we're leaving for Paris for six days. Geez, this is awkward. Equivalent exchange, Europe style. :animesweat
I'll post if I can tomorrow, and once I leave, I'll post whenever time, technology, and my mom permit. But I still won't be able to keep up for a while. Je regrette, mais c'est vrai. So if someone could take over Ketefe or if everyone could just pretend she's standing off in the corner, it would be a big help to me. Thank you in advance for putting up with this.
(bows respectfully, then walks off to finish packing)
EDIT. Well, I'm a world-class idiot. I don't leave till Wednesday afternoon. :blush Sorry about that.
Ah, well whenever you leave, hope you enjoy your vacation first of all. Be glad you got through one nice little plot before then. :3
And also...guys, y'all are doing some spectacular power-posting here. In my having to scrounge for internet access at the moment until some unknown time, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to keep up. :P
Small thing for the record here too: Bam, please don't assume that Aisha is coming along with all the girls, as you're also doing with alot of the others who haven't given assent that they're along for the ride. That's been a small itch in my side for a while. Just try not to predict where everyone's going, okay?
Bam, I think you might want to reconsider your post. It might not be wise to be so indiscrete about the murder in a crowded tavern when we are the only strangers in town. And Aisha ordered an ale, not wine. No bottle to share.
Not to mention taking control of other people's characters. Now, it's not too bad when you do it with Gina, as it makes my job easier sometimes, but...
I've talked to Styg, and will be manipulating Keaton's character shortly. That is all.
OMG NEW CHARACTER.
Name: Lianna Bathsheba Jyraneth
Nickname(s): Lia, Leelee, Lan
Age: 519 (born five minutes before Keaton)
Race: Succubus
Species: Black-backed jackal – Canis mesomelas
Family and Association(s): Elizabeth (mother - missing), Salem (father - deceased), Jasmine (sister - deceased), Esmeralda (sister - deceased), Sierra (sister - deceased), Katherine (known as Keaton, sister, believed to be deceased by Lianna)
Place of Origin: Harla'keth – the Haven of the Jyraneth
Physical description
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 105 lbs
Build: Wiry (she would've been emaciated, but I am uncertain if Cubi can actually be emaciated. Judging by the hippopotamus seen in the SAIA arc, it IS possible for them to become overweight, however)
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Naturally dirty blonde, the length and color of her hair is constantly being changed depending on her mood. Her favorite style is a succession of sunset-hued colors, specifically a blend of sherbety red, orange, and yellow. Currently, her hair is dirty blonde, extremely long and unkempt, reaching to her mid-back, constantly frozen in a disastrous state of disarray.
Fur Coloration: Yellow, with black markings chiseled into different, elaborate shapes and patterns along her body. Her markings are nearly identical to Keaton's, except that she has white spots crowning her lower legs and forearms (the spot on her right arm reaches to her shoulder like a glove, disrupted by the black marking on her mid-forearm, while its companion on the other arm only encompasses her forearm), and another ivory spot covering her right eye. The spot overlaps the outline of a larger crescent shape. On the opposite eye, a single black stripe underlines it, instead of a crescent.
Delicate stripes of white accentuate the curves and curls of her black markings, outlining them in alabaster lace. After months of living like an animal and eschewing ordinary necessities such as grooming her fur and whatnot, Lianna's formerly vibrant fur coloration is splotched and splattered with grotesque patches of mud and darkened blood.
Distinguishing Features: Festooned in fading scars, crisscrossing grotesquely over her body. The Jyraneth clan marking brand normally on her shoulder has mostly disappeared, along with her military stripe-scars. Her wings and head-wings are stylized identically to Keaton's—specifically a leathery, bat-like structure, with simplistic, two-fingered claws on the upper joint. They are constantly drooping, however, and she is unable to lift them because of the presence of the bracers on her forearms. She is never seen without Mister Hammer, which she clutches to protectively. Lianna normally wears concealing, tattered, aging clothing. Her clan marking is found on the small of her back.
Biographical and general information
History: FILLER BUNNY :bunny
Personality: Keaton's twin, who was born five minutes before her, Lianna was emotionally closest to Keaton as a sister and a friend. Her rebellious nature and her disliking for her mother made her uninterested in continuing the family legacy, especially since she preferred to party with friends and appall her mother than fight in the Jyraneth Raiders. Independent and powerful, Lianna did what she wanted where she wanted; fighting for what cause she wanted, without any regard to any creed or dogma.
After the downfall of the Jyraneth empire, Lianna has changed significantly. Suffering almost constantly from claustrophobic hallucinations and extreme mood swings, Lianna has become volatile and unstable, acting as docile as a butterfly at one moment then eviscerating some poor soul the next. She occasionally breaks down for no reason whatsoever, turning to violence and bloodshed to pacify her insanity, which she partakes of with animalistic joy. All of the spirit and rebelliousness which enlivened her in the past has been drained from her, replaced with nothing but vicious bloodlust. When in the presence of her only remaining family member (Keaton), she adopts a more childlike personality, playing with children's toys and cuddling anything soft... although even this is mercurial and shows possibilities of breaking into something more dangerous.
Lianna is terrified of sex and relationships, and reacts violently to any flirtatious behavior. She also is prone to flying into a murderous rage at the sight of her reflection, believing it to be a despicable shadow of herself, or even another, hateful person. Lianna also always talks to her warhammer, which she has named Mister Hammer. She never allows it to be removed from her sight or lets anyone hold it, even those she trusts most.
Weapon:
Mister Hammer's Description: Mister Hammer is very basic and crude in design, a simplistically-crafted but efficient weapon intended for the gladiators of the Kamei'Sin. It resembles an immense version of the smaller variation of hammer used for craftsmanship, possessing the same head and claw. For a good comparison, check out Kammi's weapon in Abel's Story. Despite not being tempered with magical means, Mister Hammer is surprisingly durable, although its worn and battered appearance indicates that it has fallen apart multiple times in the past, only to be repaired by Lianna.
Notes about Mister Hammer: Lianna believes that Mister Hammer is capable of talking to her in a telepathic voice, thus allowing her to hold seemingly one-sided conversations with it. She calls it her "best friend" for reasons currently unknown. She refuses to let anyone remove the hammer from her presence, and insists upon carrying it with her wherever she goes.
Abilities: Detailed below.
Strengths: In a way, Lianna's insanity has not only been a detriment to her but has also assisted her. Endlessly ruthless to the extent of being borderline heartless, Lianna isn't afraid to charge and destroy any enemy she is confronted with, bludgeoning and mutilating her opponents with her hammer. She has grown quite adept at using it, maneuvering the massive weapon as though it were just a weightless twig. Depending on her manic-depressive mood swings, Lianna can either endure incredibly powerful blows and mindlessly neglect any physical damage regardless of her seemingly frail physique, or drop to the ground and bawl like a baby. Even without the aid of her wing-tentacles, Lianna has considerable physical strength, perhaps from using her hammer for so long without the assistance of an enchantment to alleviate its weight.
Weaknesses: Understandably, Lianna's mental instability is her first and foremost weakness. Because of the fragmented state of her mind she has forgotten most of her training prior to the downfall of the Jyraneth empire, including her ability to manipulate shadows and some of her Cubi powers. Because of the bracer locked around her forearm she is incapable of harnessing any of her magical or Cubi-inherent powers, as well as restricting her ability to consume food via absorbing surrounding emotions, forcing her to share the same limitations and abilities as a mere Being. Lianna also suffers from severe schizophrenia and nightmarish hallucinations, ones which often lead to her ripping apart everything she comes across in a frenzied rage and leave her a hollow, wailing shell. In the heat of battle she often loses herself, forgetting who are friends and who are foes—in her mind during her berserk stage, they bleed all the same. As I've mentioned before, her abilities and durability also depend on her mood swings. Sometimes, when in a more docile mood, Lianna can barely endure any attacks before she surrenders, crying—but on the flipside; sometimes it will snap her out of her peaceful state.
Trivia:
- Lianna hates her middle name.
- If I could give Lianna a voice actress, she would likely be the singer and performer P!nk.

Er... was Keaton born first, or Lianna? Your phrasing is .. less than explicit, so it's difficult to tell...
Also, the second paragraph of Personality, first sentence... needs a word taking out, I think. ;-] and "partakes of", not in.
... that's it. As you were. nothing to see here, move along...

Uh, I believe Lianna was born first. XD Sorry I haven't been very clear there. Honestly, it's confusing for me too at times. And ack, fixed! D: Thank you for pointing that out! XD

.... I WANNA GO BACK TO PARIS!!!!
I'm back. Paris was wonderful. Saw the show at the Moulin Rouge, saw the view from the Eiffel Tower, saw the gardens at Versailles, and had some of the best food I've ever eaten. Oh, and I caught a little of the Tour de France.
I'll jump in whenever the opportunity strikes. For now, dinner.
Hey! Welcome back, Ketefe. I'm glad to hear you liked Paris as much as I did. And I'm also glad to say that you can really jump in on very short notice, since we've not inconvenienced you in any way (I hope...).
Bam, I don't mean to be rude, but...
What the hell was that about? :erk

Ooookiedokie. Guys, I think I'm in a really awkward position here--it appears that every computer in my house save for mine has Internet, leaving me to rely on my mother's laptop. Since it's incredibly hard to type on a laptop I think I'm out of commission until someone comes to fix my computer's Internet. Stupid storms, knocking out my Intarnetz.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
EDIT: Oh, never mind, we got it all fixed. =3
Whew, that's good to hear then, Keats. ^^ Scared us for a second, wondering if the "bad luck with computers" bug got another victim. :P
Just a small bit of news on my front, just by the way, I may finally be getting mine back real soon. Thus I shall be able to keep up with posts.
Huzzah! :ipod
Hello Bam. Me again.
Has it ever occurred to you that blatantly displaying your powers in front of a cop in a possibly xenophobic village and voicing your unbelievable motivations might be a BAD idea? You're pretty much begging for this cop to freak out at any given opportunity with this flaunting of abilities and outrageous and sometimes questionable information. That doesn't exactly sound smashing to me, Bam. No.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Well, he can lock me after I get Gina home. If he comes to the castle. And I think he was trying to give us a friendly warning about the castle. He needs to know what we can handle this ourselves.

Bam, sorry to be a nitpicker, but Rynkura isn't in the entrance hall. She's staying in the library. :P
It is okay....Bam's next post can be in the library...
Quote from: Keaton the Black Jackal on August 06, 2007, 05:03:36 PM
Then she collapsed against the wall outside of the room, sinking lower, lower, until her rear hit the floor and she was blankly staring against the far wall, digesting all she had seen with startling slowness.
FUCK.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
... Yes, I think we covered that earlier. ;-]
(sorry, I couldn't resist.)
Actually, Llearch, I'm keeping count of how many times I can get her to do that. You don't mind, do you?
*snicker* No, go ahead.
Remain subtle, though. Otherwise one of the other admins might object.
If Keaton were actually alive she would probably have killed all of us ten times over and will have stolen at least one of our wallets and identification so she could go out and see the Borne Ultimatium. Now our deaths are absolutely guaranteed after that bit of mental-scarring.
Not that I'm complaining. At least I'd go out laughing. :P
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Wouldn't dream of anything else. I think I've already demonstrated that I am serious about that, if not here then elsewhere.
I wouldn't expect any less of you, Stygian.
On the other hand, some others may take this as licence to go nuts. For -them-, the warning must be explicit. If only so I can come back and beat them senseless with it later. ;-]
Ooh! How tempting! I shall have to write up more things like this...
Alright, now I'm confused. Wasn't Rynkura in the kitchen? Jeremiah and Gina are both in the library, and not exactly advertising their conversation.
Actually, Rynkura came back to the library. It was just a short stay in the kitchen...one of my previous posts pretty clearly shows her coming back if you scroll up a little bit.
As for the conversation, she's an Angel in disguise. It should be fairly easy for her to overhear things. At any rate you don't have to worry about her butting in. :rolleyes She was just answering Bambi about the ghosts, not you.
I'm terribly sorry for double-posting, but now I'm confused.
Bam, I don't think anyone's heard of a Fae being born to non-Fae parents, in a completely different world than what Furrae is. That and I thought that Fae, if this would be the same Furrae as the comic, ONLY exist on Furrae.
Not to mention that you've compromised your own character sheet a few times.
I agree. If your character sheet only tells us your character's false memory you need to submit an accurate character sheet ASAP. No more secret abilities.
Damn. It's happened again. ¬_¬;;
Tomorrow, at about 4, I leave for a beach house my family's renting for a week. I'll just have Ketefe be in the room and being really quiet, if that's okay. I hate having to do this again, but that's the way it goes.
Actually, I'm gone for the rest of the summer too. If anyone asks, Jeremiah's just keeping to himself.
Stygian, you prat.
... just in case you thought nobody would notice all your innuendo. :-P
Oh, and Mel? Are you thinking Escher-esque?
Yes. Although in the case of this crazy castle it could be a literal representation. :lol
Okay Okay I have does some thinking and research. I edited my last post in the IC line.

Incidentally, Stygian, you caught me. Bailey's Irish Cream is pretty much the only alcohol I'll drink. How the hell you guessed that is beyond me.

you guys still takeing applicants?
It's still a free RP. Trudge on in. Just be mindful of the rules and toes...
Agreed. Rules are on the front page, don't lose sight of them. Sometimes it seems that's easy to do. :U
It might be advisable to also put up a character sheet. Since I've put my secondary character's in this OOC, but not my primary's since it began...SHAME ON ME. :U Here it is. Copy-pasted, but updated to the Castle. :3 It will also be changed if my character has a change.
Name: Aisha deCabre
Nickname(s): Aish, Isha
Age: mid-20s
Race: Being
Species: Panther (black jaguar)
Family and Association(s): Has no living family to speak of, but perhaps a missing brother: Ayan Cabre. Also likes to keep in touch with her mentor, the Healer Rynkura Msh'Taan.
Place of Origin: A valley called the Shadowed Depths in a remote part of Furrae; born in the village of Soldeluna and educated at the Healer's Monastery on the further side of it.
Physical description
Height: 5'5''
Weight: 120 lbs
Build: Lean, strong but not too muscular
Eyes: Red
Hair: Black with a couple of dark grey streaks in the fringe
Fur Coloration: Slightly lighter black than the hair, with a barely distinctive spot pattern.
Distinguishing features: Her hair is quite long, reaching down to the middle of her back and is almost always braided. She wears a crimson hooded cape, and navy blue clothes, with a black belt that has her weapons strapped to it. There's only one scar on her body, on her back, the only one she wanted to keep.
Biographical and general information
History: Aisha was born and lived in her home village with her parents and older brother until she was twelve. Her mother died of a sudden illness when she was seven, and it is there that she started learning how to fight amidst regular studies. Her brother went off when she was ten to fight in a war, and never came back. A couple of years later, her village was attacked by demons, and her father was assassinated. She fled the burning village and lingered on the border until she met the healer Rynkura, who taught her the finer arts of battle as well as some non-magic healing. At age eighteen was when she started adventuring and bounty hunting, determined to find these demons and avenge her family, and perhaps even find her lost brother, should he be alive.
Personality: The first thing one will notice about Aisha is that she's secretive. When asked her name, the most a stranger will get out of her is her first name, and otherwise refers to herself as "The Risen". Aisha is mostly a loner, and likes to travel. Getting to know her, one would also call her stubborn and sometimes quick to anger. She carries a determined will and a bit of impatience, and if she starts something then she must always finish it; so her fights rarely end in a tie. However, Aisha is also optimistic and doesn't believe in dwelling on the past. Among friends, she is protective and sociable, and also carries a sense of humor, though sometimes a grim one. The only race that she's quite biased against is the Demon race, although she tries to be attentive and think before acting on impulse.
Abilities: Aisha doesn't use magic herself, but she has a variety of enchanted weapons, mostly light-enchanted. Her reportioire consists of: her favorite weapon, the bladed boomerang that can come back to her on spoken command if it doesn't anyway; a light-magic embued bracer that helps to heal wounds and dispels curses; the Dragonblade, a sword which repels and is impervious to magic; and a ring on her tail that glows in the presence of dark magic. Within the RP, she has also gotten a holy sword with magical properties befitting the wielder...in her case, sending out a whiplash of fire with a swing.
Strengths: Aisha is quite fast and stealthy. Her senses are finely tuned and heightened, so hardly anything, including enemy weaknesses, escapes her notice. She is also good with a sword, the only close-range weaponry that she has much practice with. Her specialty however is long-range weaponry...for example, she can easily either kill or paralyze someone with an arrow.
Weaknesses: Being as stubborn as she is, Aisha could be determined to keep a fight going even past her own limit, sometimes forgetting what her limit is. Her attitude sometimes gets her into a bit more trouble than she realizes. If she has no time to think, then she can be short-sighted at times.
Trivia: Despite being a bit hard-headed, Aisha is also curious by nature and likes to take time to think and solve problems. She enjoys times of peace just as often as a fight, and will even stop to help others if they are so in need of it. Her greatest and only fear is being forced to see someone who she cares deeply for die, and not being able to do anything about it. She also knows as much about healing as she does about combat, but rarely uses the skill.
*coughs, and slips this under a few other character sheets*
It was there the whole time, I swears!
Name: Cogidubnus Mithlome
Nickname(s): Cog
Age: 280
Species: Were
Family and Associations: Father (Eruantien Mith'Lome) and Mother (Rawiya Lon'an)
Place of Origin: Aspira
Physical Description
Height: 6' 2''
Weight: 185 lbs.
Build: Good shape, but of a mild constitution.
Eye color: Yellow
Hair: Shoulder length, silver
Skin/fur: Caucasian, and grey when he has it.
Distinguishing Features: Cog is bereft of distinguishing marks or features, except for his shades and hat, which he is seldom apart from. He wears a suit of sorts, of very loose, black clothing. The buttons of his jacket are made of silver, and he often has a piece of twisted silver hanging from a thin silver chain on his neck. His sword is solid black, excepting for the furniture, which is all made of silver, and his hat and glasses are trimmed with the same.
History:
Cogidubnus was born approximately 200 years ago in the land of Aspira. His early history is largely unknown – left only in his memory, and to those whom he has decided to tell. We know the names of his parents, and the area of his birth – we also know that he discovered his own lychanthropy at the age of 15.
He has had a largely unremarkable history, excepting for his life-long study of the art of the Sword, and some unusual and unfortunate incidents concerning a rogue wizard. This has left him with somewhat a distaste for magic users. Cogidubnus wanders around much as he feels fit to do, settling down to teach some youngsters how to swing a blade when cash is needed, and moving on when he can.
Abilities:
Cog is a very deadly melee fighter, and is focused on killing a single opponent very quickly. His quick-draw technique allows him to surprise his opponents, and his incredible speed with this technique usually lands him a one-hit kill. Having studied the sword for almost 270 years, he is an incredible swordsman, deadly with the sword both in and out of the scabbard.
Cog's most valuable attribute is his speed. From a simple standing stance, he can draw, strike, and resheathe his sword before his opponent can register the movement, let alone blink. He uses this speed to deadly effect, and it extends to more than merely drawing the sword. His cuts are fast indeed, and he can string them together with deadly results, the effect not unlike a long, continuous arc of steel.
When his sword fails, however, Cog turns to his lychanthropic heritage. The Wolf grants him more than increased speed and strength – it also gifts him greatly increased senses, both when he is a wolf and not. His eyes and nose are always sharper than they should be, and his ears are always listening.
Thanks to his many years of training, and partly to his lychanthrope blood, Cog can manipulate the energies to an astounding degree. Due to the particular nature of the energies inside him, Cog has learned to manipulate it not only within himself, but without - to manifest it physically, the energy taking the form of almost-invisible waves of force. Depending on how hard he concentrates, or how much energy uses, he can knock a cup off a table, shatter glass, or crush bones. This ability does come at a price – overuse can exhaust him, and it takes him time to recuperate.
Weapons:
Besides his sword and himself, Cog has few other defenses - the five charms that he carries about himself serve rather well, however. Each one has a different effect, but each also has a limited amount of charge. They are as follows:
The Broken Moon: Inundates everything it touches with holy magic and imbues it with those properties.
Winter's Bite: Imbues a weapon with holy properties.
Iridescence: Creates a shield of holy magics around the user.
St. Angela's Cross: An Amethyst-studded cross that can heal minor wounds.
Coin of Storms: A coin that can absorb and store light, and emit it later.
Due to a strange twist of fate, Cog found himself cursed with the burden of becoming what he most hated – which, strangely, turned him into a mage, for some time. A very powerful one. However, he managed to dispel the curse, only to find that the magical knowledge granted him still resided in his memory, apart from the magical geas. Thusly, Cog has some measure of magical ability, and great power with thunder magics.
Strengths:
One-on-one, Cogidubnus can usually slaughter a single opponent. He is inhumanly quick with his sword, and he has multiple tricks up his sleeve for those whom steel cannot cut. He carries multiple protective charms on him, usually of a light-magic nature, and he can use his internal energies to create bubbles or waves of force – depending on many factors, it can be powerful enough to crush an opponent.
Weaknesses:
One-on-more than three, however, Cogidubnus tends to get overwhelmed quickly. As well, he has a few of the weaknesses that lychanthropy gives him: wolfsbane is a very effective poison against him. He is weaker when fighting in a full moon, unless he is in full wolf form, in which case, he has gone mad. He will kill anyone close to him, and is feral in his rage.
Trivia:
Very fond of coffee. Hates most mages, finding them abusers of power. Has a strange past, which he'll seldom mention, unless it's to ask if you've seen a tiger by the name Arcturus. Is soft-spoken, but eloquent and friendly, and oftentimes will start spouting poetry at the slightest provocation.
name: Ian Abernathy
age:19
species: were (rat)
height: 5'9"
skin/fur: caucasian/ dark gray almost black normal patterns
build: lean (think skater)
appearce:
Ian looks like a typical 90's tech punk.
hair: black neck length hair in human form. Short and spikey in rat form.
head: onyx rimmed sunglasses, two studs in left ear three in the right. one nose stud and a toungue stud
neck: dog tags one with vital info and the other with a thundercats logo.
torso: black leather jacket(no gloss) over a plain wife beater.
hands: right hand has a class ring with an onyx stone.
bottom: baggy fatigues and a belt to hold them up.
shoes: world industries skate shoes (black with grey on the sides)
strengths: good with familiar tech( tech includes guns like he can use PC's with ease and can unjam guns on the run) has experence useing fire arms, crafty, quick thinker
weaknesses: he is mortal and as such has the limetations of a mortal, he will act without thinking, has a fear of fire and snakes and heights, can't see well in the night with his sunglasses on, and he bleeds more than a normal person would.
personality: Ian never really grows up untill he has to. Comeing out of his teenage years he still has alot of the immuture sense of humor, smartassness, cockyness, easy going traits. He is a fun guy in his free time, but when he has a job to do he gets kind of serious about it. He never looses his fun factor though.
Lucas. I answered your post the way I did because Mel and Ian are in the kitchen, far from the hallway. They have no idea the others have gone out into the storm.

I think I'm going to have to vary things quite soon. But you're right; you have been rather fun to toy around with for a while now. Still, I have to find some way to get you more personally engaged in this whole business, or we're never going to find out any juicy details about Ketefe.

.... I needed a little time away from this RP (and No I am not mad or angry, a Fae character is harder to play than I thought.....)... but then the story was going along with Character development of others. So I let go on without me, a little... Now, Maybe a good to re-enter.... But Should I refind my character a little more... Since I have more data on Amber's Fae creatures.
Thank you for playing
PBH
yeah im not so sure fae and science really go together. but it's fine by me.
The Character concept was for Bam is a Fae lost roleplaying in a High tech setting (There are many High being Cities on Amber's world). For that role, she had to lower her magic power levels to nearly zero, so that she could learn and work with high technologies.
When I crashed near the castle and found my way inside, I found that my magical abilities were needed again, and at high level. But now, she is wondering if she really is needed at the castle at all. At this point, I'm think of being , more like Mab, upon my return, I will use my powers only when I'm really needed. But that is going to be tough to gauge....

Well, I'm back from camping and touristing. The camping was the same as every year, but being a tourist in california was terrifying for my inner new yorker.
I saw a pedestrian actually have the right of way.
I saw beeches that weren't covered with condoms.
I saw streets devoid of people walking while traffic was backed up for the entire city.
I saw a subway map with four lines on it.
I saw people smiling in public.
All in all, a distressing experience. But now I'm back, so let the show go on!
Good to have you back, Jeremiah! Tell me if you have seen this before: a couple with a Connecticut license plate stopping at a red light in New York and getting laughed at.
If they have an out of town license plate they're probably being laughed at on general principles, but yes, I've seen that sort of thing before. :rolleyes

PBH
Ah, also, Bam, it shouldn't be TOO tough to re-gauge your power. Nobody's expecting you to do a complete rewrite of your character. Just make a list of spells or something and limit yourself to those. Don't try to be convenient, like you're ready to solve every problem. No good character does that. Just because the Fae are being portrayed as super-duper-powerful, that doesn't mean every Fae character must follow through.
Just to bring to your attention also, it might be a good idea to post, and not leave Ketefe hanging while looking for you. :p
Both me and Mel were most confused to read your latest post, Marcone. If Ian was lost, how the Hell did he find his way back to the kitchen immediately afterward?
Is it just me who's tempted to roll up a new character, run up to the gate, bang on it, and run off, leaving a burning paper bag on the porch?
There are laws against dumping babies at people doors... Mister Box. And does Flaming hair runs in your family?

Not the case. Stygian said 'follow', and then went right through the castle to the entry hall, not passing the kitchen.
in my defence i havent a map to look off of or any formal knowledge of the lay out. and your wording was rather vague.

Prof, you -did- note that Cog is already awake, yes? Stygian isn't, but Cog is up and already fighting with the Bad Guys....
Lucas, it is impossible for Ian to be in the main entrance and near the bedrooms. It is a castle, not a bungalow. The bedrooms have been established as three floors up.
he isn't, read kaeton's actions a few responces back. she showed me to my room and then slipped into a close by one to look at her shiney.
If Ian is in the third floor hallway that has the bedrooms all he could see at the time of your post is Keaton standing in front of a door. Sal is inside the room and the panther and the bat are places unknown having last been seen at the main entrance. Since he knows Keaton belongs in the hallway I am unsure of who he is yelling at. The only hint of anything unusual going on is the sound of Cog snarling and some crashing about.
Oookay, wait a minute, just to clarify, because I know next to nothing about the design of castles...don't blame me, I'm just a player. :3
Is the third floor the only floor with bedrooms? 'Cause Ryn is somewhere on the second floor and Aish on the first. That can easily be changed of course, but that's how I pictured it, bedrooms and guest rooms and the like kinda just scattered around...
i thought they followed. yall are confuseing when you use your pretty boy english ya know. besides he was addressing the spider before she went into the room.
Maybe It is My faulty.... the rat was dreaming on shouting Fire....I thought he was at the front door, but I found him near. his room I sent him to bed and continue to my own..
Bam knows not that Cog is awake when she senr her warnings
PBH
I'd think that both the second and third and fourth floors have some rooms on them, though perhaps not in the same sections. Fifth floor would probably mostly be 'reserved' rooms or common ones, while the first floor is more for dining, traversing the castle, entry, storage, that sort of thing.
And we are pretty boys and girls. We use pretty, ordered, correct language.
Okay, Bam, you might be getting a little ahead of yourself. Nobody said anything about hidden passages.
Or gave you permission to control Gina again for that matter, I don't think.
ian isn't inconsious mel.... he's got a huge concusion and will fade into a deep sleep. but he isn't unconsious yet.
Now, now, Cogi. How rude - you check her for mindspiders, but don't show yourself as being clear? ;-]

I think I'll pass, just now. If nothing else, I keep track of the thread (and many others) because I'm monitoring for people being unhappy with each other. I just can't keep my mouth shut. ;-]
I'll think about it, though.
Alright, I think we need an actual visual map of the castle at this point. Jeremiah left the library to meet up with the others on the third floor, but then apparently Sal sealed it off with web? Or was that another hallway? Either way, I'm really confused as to where everything is.
is that before or after i shoot in her direction? because there is a distinct possiblity you could be hit by a number of those poorly aimed shots as well BA

Aisha told Ryn pretty much the whole story about the castle after she arrived, including about Sal and the mindspiders. Not like Ryn will mind as she knows the situation, O behind-the-scenes commentator. :3
I'm pretty much also confused on the floor situation, but I'd supposed in a CASTLE that there are other sets of stairs that lead to the floors, not just one. Sal would have just blocked of -one- hallway to the third floor. Also, Aisha should've been found by now. I should've been corrected if there are no rooms on the first floor. :rolleyes But that also suits just fine anyway.
One last thing...how does Ketefe know what Keaton's doing now? Because of how she appears?
Finally, I see someone has ignored me when I said nobody said anything about secret passages. :rolleyes

I wasn't suggesting Ryn wouldn't know what was going on, though. I was suggesting that perhaps it might be a good idea, if Cogi is checking others, that he display that he himself is also clear - in the interests of keeping everyone from shooting at each other.
Not that that's going to help dealing with Keaton, although she could manage to sneak into the group before going nuts, if she knew enough to take advantage of the fact that her "mindspider" is her eyeball...
But, as said, don't mind me. I'm just commenting from the cheap seats. ;-]
The eye is perfectly fine. It came from Mel. Keaton was captured and contaminated way back when they were visiting the town.
S'alright then, Llearch. x3 And I propose everyone calm down and actually read a little better on how things are going and where you are. A few of us are metagaming...probably not on purpose, but still.
Ian and Ketefe shouldn't have known at all about Keaton, nor should they have seen her yet. Not unless she ran well ahead of the other villains. And she hasn't said she was.

you make it sound like ian didn't have a target mel. he was shooting at the jackal but he couldnt aim very well. and did you ignore his shout or did you not quite catch it or what?
Please don't be in such a hurry and slow down to read what has been posted. You are acting on your knowledge and not Ian's. Ian woke up in the hallway after Sal was in the room. He could have only seen Keaton standing in the hall looking in a doorway. Ian went in his room to get his guns. When he returned to the hall Keaton was gone and he assaulted a bleeding woman rather than asking her what was going on. The bleeding woman threw him into a wall and ran away. Mel found him on the floor and he woke up and started shooting.
Your story is that somehow Keaton and Sal sprinted down a hallway, spun a web to block the hallway, and ran down two flights of stairs, had a conversation and ran back up the stairs, unblocked the hallway, and sprinted back to where Ian lay in the amount of time it took for Mel to walk to where Ian was laying? Either Mel walks very slowly or Keaton and Sal move very very quickly. Keaton also wrote that she was standing on the second floor landing with the bat and Sal. So I went with the logical idea that Ian was shooting at the pretty pretty lights that his concussion was making him see.
Ian did not wake up to the noise he woke up as they passed him to get to cog's room. he isn't THAT deep of a sleeper. so yes he saw the events as they unfolded. #2071 IC im sorry if you misunderstood. and #297 OOC

Hello there all.
To Lucas, sorry about any confusion which is going on, but Keaton has probably passed Ian in search of Cog and Styg. I'm not very familiar with the layout of the castle myself, but Keaton's more concerned with looking for the guys who hurt Sal rather than tangling with anyone else. She must've passed them or at least is searching for them.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
ian spotted you as you came up the stairs and shouted and "tried" to shoot, before mel somehow got super human reflexes and porced my hand down before i could fire off a single shot. ok you ran past me but i still shouted at you and tried to shoot you as you crested the stairs.

Marcone,
It somewhat appears you are forgoing logic, somewhat. Or, at least, you are being rather confusing. It was my impression that Marcone woke up to the commotion, i.e. this post here:
Quote from: lucas marcone on September 13, 2007, 12:48:37 PM
Ian woke up with all the commotion. He was still walking the halls when Kaeton brought the "Legion of Doom". "Ay! Who are you? and what the FIZZNUCK you doin sneakin around!" Ian hadn't realized yet that they were enimies, nor had he his guns on him. Luckily he was right next to his room.
Two things strike me - if, by the Legion of Doom, you mean Sal, and the two strangers, only Sal was upstairs. Two, the remark about commotion, being where it is, seems to imply that it was the noise from the fight Sal and Cog were making as they were trying to kill each other. Now, perhaps by commotion you mean the silent, soft padding they made as they snuck into a room occupied by a bat and an anti-assassination trained wolf - this could be possible. I would remark that, if Ian is a light sleeper, the two who occupied the room most certainly would be also. You can see why there was some confusion, here, especially with the post being -after- the fight had started. If you awoke before, it makes more sense - if you awoke after, it does appear to be metagaming.
Also, your most recent post with the shooting does not make much sense. Keaton hasn't gotten that far yet. She has -begun- walking up the stairs to the next story, but from what I see, that does not mean she has -gotten- there yet, especially considering the nature of the castle. There are multiple levels. It is unlikely that the first floor to the third takes so little time.
As for Mel clamping down on your hand, it is not out of the realm of possibility that she walked out of her room, and saw you shooting, and then proceeded to restrain you. It certainly would not take superhuman reflexes. Mel can speak for herself, but this is not really something unlikely.
Not trying to be offensive, but please try and be more clear in the future.
Getting more and more aggravated at all this... Firstly, only Sal and Keaton proceeded to try to assassinate Cog and Stygian. They were then on the third floor. The other two remained in the entry hall. I have not the slightest clue as to where Ian's room was situated, as that was never specified. The planning doesn't match up. Need I remind you all that this is a whole bloody castle? The distance between events should not be ignored.
Secondly, as Cogidubnus has stated, the timing doesn't match up with the events either. Keaton could not have gone back down the blocked passage, and would thus have to take a longer and different route just to get back to the others, if that's even where she is headed. Aisha is quite right on the point that Ian should not have seen Keaton other than when she was standing outside the bedroom, and definitely not Ketefe.
Thirdly, Marcone, don't you even try and accuse Mel of metagaming after all your self-convenience here. Noticing all the others, rapidly moving Ian about both time- and space-wise, and making him react to events as if he knew precisely what was going on, e.g. his aggressive reaction toward Keaton and Sal... Clearly you should not be giving pointers to us others about that sort of behavior if you can't even begin keep yourself in line.
we discussed this earlir and i acnowlaged my miscalculation. i didn't feel the need to edit seeing as we cleared it all up. if you want me to i will.
i also explained to mel that he woke up as they went by him. so i didnt feel the need to edit that either. but i will if you wish it of me.
at this point Ian is fully aware for the betrayal. and is not aware of those downstairs.
Edit: nor is he aware of the spiders effects on kaetons mind. infact he knows nothing more than what he saw from the time they woke him by passing him to the time he blacked out again.
Bam, I'm afraid you're mistaken. The library is quite a bit away from the current drama.

Erm. I -think- I've put everything back where it should be. Is it all sorted, now? Or is there still some problem?
if we're all sorted, I'll put an entry into the first post linking to all the other sections of the thread, in the Treasury...
Does it have to be in so many tiny parts? It kind of minimizes all the work we put in.
tiny? there's 300 posts in each.

Thank you. <tries to think of appropriate thank you for a box. Leaves a roll of packing tape> :)
*Sigh* Bam, you're doing it again, and I'd like to not be ignored this time.
I'd also like to know how your character seemed to know exactly what was going on and where to go. It seems kinda metagamish, suddenly finding your way to where the villains are and attempting to solve everything yourself, when there's an obvious plot with everyone else going on.
Otherwise, see, they're just going to be ignoring you.
I am not trying to solve anything. I make a mistake staying in the library. There are enough hints with the castle feel and shaking all over the place. I was there in the hellgate before, I know what was the cause of that, and I guessed. I Also remember Gina needs your Sword. or her sword or something to close the gate the last time.
I know Stygain is busy with you, guys. If he wants me somewhere else, he need only talk through Gina, she is "the Guardian" of this place. Right now, I am too busy shielding Gina from the Ghosts or whatever else to do anything against the villians. I am waiting on you guys, I am not going to take on these guys alone with the Gate open.

You know, it does strike me how you would run straight into the heart of the trouble without any backup whatsoever, Bam. And running the whole way in much less than the space it takes for us to navigate just a few hallways, even...
Ah Okay Well, I can try to get out of this without destroying the story. And The main party is still down the hall (some 100 feet), but Mel was near by a minute ago. My demon dog can turn into anything. (I thought it scarer to start with cute and end with a brute.)
How good is Gina at flying?
PBH
*bow* Please GM do you want me to back up A little? I can kill or erase the puppy. or yet other ideas?
[sighs] No, just go with it. I just wish you'd tread more carefully. For now, get out of that damn chapel. If we want to make this fight last, or keep you from getting killed, staying there is not the thing you want to do. Gina is good enough at flying, but out of practice.
Also, I really have no idea why you had to get into that last battle even when the demon was downed, Lucas. And those humanoid demons are pretty damn strong. Someone's going to have to jump in to save your ass. That a regular student should carry flashbangs around and get himself into things like this is...
...is really connected I know. This is the same guy from the honor circle. I was going to add a line like "God bless milatary surplus." but I decided against it. About the other thing. Since you guys are so damn quick about this and I like to do more than hang out online watching from my one chance to post. I like to pick up where I left off so to speak. Say a demon bursts in and starts running a muck. If it's already dead before I get around to checking the RP then what's the point? If eleven diffrent actions happen before I get a chance to respond Then it's like I'm better off just letting you guys tug my character around.
Well, I am terribly sorry for confining you in this RP, Ian. I know it's tough to keep up with things but that's just the way the story goes. I'll remember your comments and to add more horrible things to tear you apart though, don't you worry.
Ummm.......thankyou? Now I'm worried. By the way I was hopeing you would ask why he's so connected. Here it is.
He started college late because being born into a family on the lower end of the class scale he had to work to get his money as an adventurer.
Ask him about his past sometimes after this all quiets down he's a real interesting fellow. This is my first nondisposeable character, so the juicy history has just begun. Also you can call me Lucas in here...It is Out Of Character you know.
Marcone, we still haven't found Styg and Mel, and Ryn and the others along with Sal are trapped behind a newly-formed wall. We haven't found them yet.

Discretely points to the post three above where Stygian told Bambi the exact same thing.
You've seen our posts. From what we've said, you should have made the deduction that it was big enough to fill out virtually all of the hallway. It's got a maw huge enough to close on both of Styg's legs at least. Two maws, in fact. Which means that it's probably got a head a meter long if not more. And I already corrected Bam. So you had everything you needed right there.

Not to mention that I "assumed" both Gareeku and Aisha a bit further away than I think either of them supposed, just so that you people wouldn't get involved in the fight.
And the vixen succubus isn't going to go for you first, Bam. Sorry, I know it's supposed to be a free RP, but this is plot and she was under my control.
Now, I don't have time to poke around in this. I will return to work and hopefully things will be fixed when I come home...
ok so if im supposed to be so figging weak then how are you all so unbeliveably strong? would it be better if i just sat my character down in the corner and waited for the bad people to go away?
1. Don't be such a child.
2. We are not "incredibly" strong as you seem to think we are. And no offense, but you've got a character who's only 17, was/is an adventurer and apparently has a degree. Its just the fact that you just jumped in head first during our stand-off and started kicking away the dog-like creatures without thinking things through. There is no competition for the limelight here, so don't go around thinking you have to be the center of everything. Everybody will be given a chance to step into the limelight.
3. I would not reccommend snapping back at Stygian like that, especially since he is the one who is running the rp, and therefore has the power to kick you out should you continue to snap at him like. It's perfectly fine to explain why you don't understand our requests, but snapping at people like isn't going to do you ANY favours, and this is coming from a guy with experience.
Gar, i wasn't snapping back at anyone. I'm not competeing for the lime light but if I'm too weak to kill anything or even stand up to them in a fight how am I supposed to have fun? You're all kicking ass willy nilly and I'm stuck on the sidelines going "Go team go!" or haven't you been paying attention? Anytime i do get to see action I am 1. knocked out 2. stopped by an ally 3. insulted sorry if I seem pissy but I have a good reason. IC post edited by the way.
Well seeing as I've only just returned to the forums in a over a month, coupled with the fact that my life is quite busy at the moment, I haven't had time to read back on the rp, so you could say that I haven't been "paying attention".
Lucas, the issue is that you never pay attention to what is going on and pop your character into places he can't possibly be, which always seem to be in the middle of the action, interrupting a fight already in progress. Stygian is not stingy with opponents; no one is allowed to sit in the corner. If you had actually read his post you would have seen that if you had stayed in the room you were in instead of mysteriously teleporting into the next one we have three monsters the size of horses to fight, as well as the succubus. Also, if you had read any of the posts, it is glaringly, red lights and sirens obvious that this panther is Aisha's special arch-nemesis. That fight is hers alone. If you want to fight there are three hyena-men in the social room. Take your pick.
the problem is understanding you guys. you see i thought aisha was in our room as well. also she need only ask and my attention is else where. you watch movies right? come big bad final bos the trusty side kick jumps up to hel then the hero says something macho and meaning ful about how this is his fight alone and the side kick focuses on the henchmen. i was just complaining about how you guys are able to kick ass and yet tell me i can't take on even the weakest demons.
It's not really that hard to actually read the posts, Marconi, and see what's going on. By the way, yes, I want you out of this fight. Sorry if I didn't make things clear, but sometimes you have to look between the lines and read the intonations in the posts.
Also, nobody's told you that you can't take on any demons. Like Mel said, there are plenty of them fighting back in the room you were in. And plus, your character is injured, isn't he? That's the only reason why people'd tell your character it might not be a good idea to fight. But as for you yourself, the only problem we have with you is that you want to be convenient. And there are times when your character will have the ability not to be, and you have to recognize those times. Otherwise, it's called metagaming.
Try to understand where we're coming from, here. Without becoming frustrated.
as stated befor thought ya were in the room my bad. it never happened.
fixed.
I am not about to question your sense of fun, Marcone, but if brainless asskicking is it then I do not share it. This is a hangout, a sort of character personality-vent, or a testing ground if you will. I am not about to turn it into a demon-slaying bowling alley. If that was what people really wanted RPs like the 'Circle' or 'Journeys with a Kitsune' or whatever would still be up and most active. They are not. This one is.
Then there is the issue of your character. I have nothing to point out save what Gareeku has already said; he is a being, unextraordinary save for being an adventurer at a young age, and far weaker than the opponents that we are currently facing. But power or 'awesome factor' is not the point. The gameplay is. Stygian is powerful, yes. As is Keaton, and Cog if anyone has grown stronger since entering the castle. Mel, being a dragon and a talented one at that, is powerful enough that she could probably ice us all if she went at it the right way. But do you see her seeking out fights? Also, we all have trouble overcoming these things. Stygian's thrown around cars and turned people insane with but a touch in other RPs, and he's still taken hits and injuries and has to put up a fight. What makes you think that you could just drop-kick something that can give him a run out the window?
Lastly, and most importantly, I want everyone to tread more carefully. Most of you are writing and acting brilliantly IC, but when others fly off the handle and suddenly do utterly ridiculous things out of misunderstandings or sheer lack of thought it becomes that much harder keeping this thing firing on all cylinders. Sure, you can choose not to comply. But I think you'll find that the other players will most likely ignore you then.
it's not just about the fighting. I feel left out. plain and simple. i also feel like everyone brushed Ian aside and writes him off as an untraind child. he is not.
i apologise before hand if i make any mistakes. if you see me makeing any point them out, and we can discuss what i thought against *reality calmly and without getting our undies in a knot.
*imagine me useing a word like that in an RP of all places.
*Blinks* Well that was quick. Guess I was too slow.
Um... so sorry, Boog. But you will have your opportunity. You can go ahead and go crazy if you so like.
You're too kind *grins* but I think I'll give it a minute before I do. Crazy might be able to wait.
is keaton in the same room Ian is?
No she is not. Keaton is in an entirely different room and has reached it by a different route separate from the one your group was, which was why they were lost to begin with besides unclear directions. I understand that things can be confusing, but if you thoroughly read through the posts and didn't skim for where your characters are mentioned there wouldn't be any problems.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
thanks for answering but jeeze! how many times do i have to repeat myself? i read everyones posts! i just don't understand all of it all the time. the way aisha put it (if the healer was with you) you had found us. just misunderstandings that's why i asked.
Sorry Ian, I will try to include you in my post more, as well.. As much as I get to make difference. :mowdizzy PBH
Oh, not you too...!
Just try and read the posts, use your heads and ask if anything's bloody uncertain! And don't behave as if this were some flaming family excursion!
There. Now I've snapped at you. Me. Just hope that does it.
let me get this straight... I've had a chance for my brain to "defrag" as it were. mel, jeramiah, ketefe, bam and i are on the third floor in a large room not far off the stair case.
gog keats sal and styg are on the second floor in a room in not sure as to the location from the staircase.
gar and the panthers are in the mentioned third floor staircase landing fighting
am i correct? if i missed anyone shout up and say where you are please.
also when i said i couldn't understand you guys is because im used to much more direct expressions of where people are in an RP with much simpler layouts. this place according to you guys is like the movie labrynth!
:mowcookie :mowcookie :mowcookie to Stygain
No no I'm not mad, and I will not dictate, how my acts will do to the NPCs....But it is hard to read through all the entrys, at speed. I think of something and the rest of you are sometimes two or three post ahead of me.

Stygian,
Would you do me a favour and post a translation of the Spanish in your most recent post? I'm sure it was just an oversight - I know -I- didn't realise it hadn't been translated until after Aisha mentioned something about her character's mother...
*grin* Muchly appreciated.
i thought cog and them were on the second floor. how could she know? unless she heard the screams maybe?
If the "she" you're talking about is Ryn, she and everyone else are on the third floor, bar for Aisha and Asal.
Ah, right.
Hokay, so here's the deal... The castle is large. It is meant to be labyrinthine. Chances are that if you aren't directly interacting with someone else or expressively in the same room, you're nowhere near them.
And as for the translation...
'Your family was nothing! We created you! And that miserable mother of yours was lucky to have even a shred of our blood!'
Danke. Aisha's post makes much more sense now. :-]
Out of courtesy, my apologies for the length of this one, I should probably put. But hey. I was inspired. :3
.. and inspiring.
Nicely done.
ok....you guys theres going to be a word limet to posts soon :P anyway i just got home and im too damn tired to read all that. ill catch up tomarrow night. i might not be back till 6pm tomarrow though.

Since my work's IT department put a block on the forum.... I feel your pain, too, Gareeeku. :mowdizzy

Question or two
Can Bam find Gina?
Is Gina alone ?
Is her disappearance part of the plot? (wait Don't answer that one)
PBH
As for Sal, Bambi didn't know Sal was our Frenchie Friend. No one has filled her in on what Cog and Keaton were doing with her.
Ian hears the fighting but he chooses to stay in thr room till fighting is done due to him being tired, hurt and weaponless.
I know I'm posting a bit less frequently as of late, but I'm a little busier than usual lately with school. (As is my brother, which allows less computer time.) So I'll post as often as I can, but if I'm being inconvenient right now, I'm sorry. Hopefully, all will be mended after I fall into a more routine pattern.
I don't think you have to worry about causing inconveniences, Angel. Frankly, considering how things look I think the opposite would be most appropriate. Or maybe not. Who knows? Maybe I'm just looking for something to distract me from the horrendous images and cheese that seep into my mind at the sight of a few more recent posts. I'm just glad we don't have the FX budget of The Matrix, or this thing might actually kill someone.
hay keaton what is it with your characters love of the word "fuck"? :P
It's a personality. Just like different people, different characters say different things. It is rated Rebma, after all. Swearing if hardly the worse thing that somebody could do.

'Cos Keaton is a foulmouthed motherfucker. :3 *halo*
Though yeah, Gar's right. It's just in Keaton's personality--she's, at the core of her wretched, little heart, a gloriously foulmouthed b-word. *sobs* Her eloquence touches me every time she stubs her toe.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
Now there's a thought.
Come up with a character who is more foul-mouthed than Keaton... whilst not using any unprintable words at all.
Now -that- is a challenge. ;-]
Oh GOD somebody please do it. If someone did it, I'd be their little slave-monkey for forever. :<
Keaton and the character can get into a curse-off somewhere in the Castle, and it would just be a bunch of indecipherable astericks, percents, ampersands, and "at" signs.
~Keaton the Black Jackal
On Keaton's side, yes.
On my side, it'd have to be fully printed out. After all, I can't use anything unprintable, can I? ;-]
(I'll work on it. It might end up being a story somewhere, in which case I'll have to work on it with you...)
BTW, Bam's latest post has been deleted at Stygian's request. Those of you who posted after her (that's the last half of the previous page onwards) may wish to take a moment to review your posts.

not feeling well, i may be a bit sporadic. sorry if it causes trouble.
My apologies, Bam. I just did an edit that I should probably call your attention to.
Hey, Styg when Ian lands on the second floor is he on the end closer or farther from his room? That is if he is even in the same hallway, if he isn't ill have to wait for BA to show him the way.
I'd guess that's up to you. Though if it's the main stairs it won't even make a difference. But, as he seems to be going via another stairway, and judging from how we've moved, I'd say he's closer to his room.
danke herr GM
sorry for the double post but i thought it prudent to let you all know of what all ian is capable of.
he has three types of ammunition for his gun
rubber- murder isn't good on anyones record. he prefers to keep casualties down when he can
UV- back in the day (the 1 year he was an adventurer hur hur) he fought a LOT of vampires, and he found a guy who made ammo that would stick it to those emos without splintering upon fireing.
lead- why change a classic?
grenades
flashbang- self explainitory he keeps a maximum of three on him
frag- dubbed old henry he only ever carries two on him at a time.
that's all he carries weapon wise
Good luck with this.... I am find it hard to keep up with this and RL issues and the story has move on without me..... I just sorry Gina is lost somewhere....
Thanks to all, it has been fun....

Ugh, sorry to double post, but I decided to post this:
I really hate to do this, but I've decided not to debut Lianna in the Castle, since my interest in playing her has waned in favor of a different character. I loathe substituting characters after posting up their profiles, but... eh. I'd probably be pretty unhappy if I played a character which I had no enthusiasm for.
Instead, here's a different character coming when this current catastrophe is over:
Name: Tikal Diethelm St. Zerachiel
Nickname(s): Father Tikal, Tik, Ivory, the Saint, Elysium
Age: 431
Race: Angel
Species: Unknown variation of jackal
Family and Association(s): Adopted 'Mother' (Admiranda St. Zerachiel); Caretaker (Aviadne St. Zerachiel); Biological family unknown. Is closely affiliated with a cathedral of a relatively small religion known as the Agape.
Place of Origin: Was raised in an unnamed, quaint village; actual place of birth unknown
Physical description
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 155 lbs
Build: Lean, but not fragile. In good shape
Eyes: Brown (right eye); Cranberry red-purple (left eye)
Hair: Smooth alabaster with a slightly blond tinge to the very edges of his locks; similar to his base fur coloration
Fur Coloration: Same as his hair color—a velveteen alabaster with tinges of blond
Distinguishing Features: Very handsome in facial features and voice, speaking with a very refined, smooth dialect. Contrasting against the alabaster-blond of his hair and fur are the spiraling black markings curling along the contours of his back, burgeoning from the back of his neck and trailing down his spine and across the subtle curve of his hips, ending at his tail. Black markings cover his forearms and forelegs. Highly intricate tattoos, reminiscent of elaborate stripes and swirls of warpaint in various patterns, are present in a tangled vine of circles and complicated twisting shapes on his left arm, while a smaller, similarly patterned vine sits over his right eyebrow. A blue crescent curves around his left eye, accentuated by curly twists of purple. The plumage of his wings is fringed with purple, while the primary feathers are decorated in black spirals. A strangely ornate sun is the symbol for his religion, which is located on a few diamond-shaped labels on his outfit. He often wears a heavy cowl over his robes, which possess a wide hole in the back so to allow his wings to stretch free. Most of the time, Tikal keeps his wings hidden through an enchanted amulet resting on the label on his breast.
Biographical and general information
History: Very little is known about Tikal's history, although it can be assumed by his reluctance to indulge anyone of his past that his early years haven't exactly been pleasant. According to him, he has never had a true mother figure in his life—and that's all he mentions. All that is known besides that sparse information is that there was a great guidance in his life which resulted in him becoming a representative of the religion he preaches for, something he looks back on rather fondly. For some time Tikal has been adventuring on his own, influencing people through acts of goodwill and charity as opposed to actively forcing his beliefs down their throat, sometimes involuntarily drawing the presences of various characters towards him.
Tikal is more outspoken about his reasons for beginning his adventure. He claims that the church he once lived at had lifted him out of the darkness which his life once was, and that it was about time he helped return their kindness by paying such treatment forward. The religion Tikal advocates is a small organization, developed as an offshoot of a larger religion. Many people are unaware of its existence, but its few followers are highly devoted despite their obscurity.
Personality: Tikal is a gentleman. Soft-spoken, eloquent, and polite in mannerisms, he's generally a very pleasant furre to interact with and be around, not to mention the antithesis of the manipulative, avaricious stereotype of his race. He is almost unflappable in demeanor, possessing a stone-cold resolve and equally resolute devotion for his faith, all of which revolves around the concept of unconditional love and forgiveness. And love is precisely what Tikal gives. He is surprisingly tolerant and open-minded, although such a thing can easily be attributed through his Creature heritage and the occasional trials that come with it.
This does not mean that Tikal is a passive individual. While he is refined and polite, Tikal will not look past the outrageous abuse of others and will go out of his way to protect those who have been unjustly beaten and kicked down. There is nothing he despises more than intolerance and brutality, so when he sees either exercised he cannot help but feel repulsed. Due to his distaste for fighting he rarely lifts his gun, but will not hesitate to protect himself if he is threatened. Otherwise, he is extremely peaceful and benevolent, and wouldn't harm a fly.
Abilities: Marksman; ability to turn skin into razor-sharp diamond; heightened speed and reflexes; extensive Light magic abilities. Carries around a bag which contains basic ammunition for his gun, and various possessions, including a few religious trinkets.
Strengths: When shoved into combat, Tikal is a force to be reckoned with. Speaking superficially, Tikal is nothing special as far as magical abilities go—he shares the same powers as every Angel, such as the affinity and inclination towards Light-oriented magic, the ability to harden his skin into a diamond-like substance or sharpen his body and the heightened speed and senses. However, while his physical abilities are unintimidating, Tikal's Light magic capabilities are immense. When all else fails Tikal has a gun (more information in 'Trivia') secreted within his cowl, which he has grown rather adept at using.
Weaknesses: Tikal rarely fights, and outright refuses to use his abilities in a corrupt manner. The gun he uses, as well as his numerous abilities, are all strictly reserved until the case of an absolute emergency, such as when he is severely threatened or there is no other option than to use force. In other words, a pacifistic philosophy is Tikal's foremost weakness. Otherwise, Tikal lacks hand-to-hand combat prowess, and once disarmed and stripped of all options he's rather vulnerable. His endurance without the utilization of his diamond skin-form is very low, making him prone to physical and magical attacks, and even when his skin is hardened his defense is weaker compared to other Angels'.
Trivia:
- The gun Tikal uses is a Smith & Wesson Model 500. It is called "Elysium," a subtle tribute to the German lyrics in Ludwig Van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
- Tikal has a habit of singing to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony while he's fighting. He has studied German and is fluent in it, so he doesn't mispronounce any of the German lyrics. His singing voice is very handsome, melodic.
- Tikal is secretly afraid of spiders. Insectis and spider-morphs are excluded from his phobia, since he finds he is more frightened of the less humanoid spiders with creepy-crawly appendages and beady eyes.
- Appropriately, Tikal's theme song is "Symphony no. 9," by Ludwig Van Beethoven.
- The amulet on Tikal's breast, which is bewitched to hide his wings, is in the same shape that the crest for his religion is. He can deactivate it by touching the decorative jewel in its center and giving it a surge of magic.
- Tikal hardly ever curses. When he does, one should probably be wary.

...no, she still isn't going anywhere. Don't worry. X3 Though be prepared that if Ian confronts Keaton, he might get a violent reaction... she's touchy. :3

Angel, I am sorry I didn't say anything earlier, but... I don't think that Ketefe could jump back up those stairs. The section broken off is too big, and the stairs too steep for that. She'd have to be able to jump up onto the roof of a one-story house without using anything for leverage or a step-off. If she's just a regular being...
Ah. Whoops. Will edit.
Lucas, would it change your post any if I pointed out that the stated marching order had Ian behind Cog and Ketefe? By going down he is heading for the giant hole of doom.
not really i mean they were pretty spread out in order to prevent the stairs from going fubar and look how well THAT worked out :P now might be a good time for you to wake up though. i mean your a dragon how long can a puny spider woman knock you out for lol.
What I meant was you have to go back up. There is a big hole you can't jump over if you try to go down. And in RP time Mel has probably been unconcious less than a minute.
Insulting people when they are trying to help never did anyone any good, Lucas.
cog we are on the platform. keats hauled ass for them just before the fight began and i just now got to it.
EDIT: but if the DM is going with the same reasoning i guess were on the stairs then.
it might be a while before i post because a friend of mine is being pretty much shuned by his entire church for playing Magic the Gathering tradeing card game. they want him to burn his cards in order to continue to go to church there and because i play the same game and am related to the proprioters of the establishment and am good friends with one of their children i am LIVID and need a while to cool down.

Possibly. She's aiding or working against him either way. But I guess I should write it as three instead.
Now, we come to a curious plot twist here. Seeing as how I'm going to be leaving for seventeen days, I will hand over control of the Castle RP... to everyone. Now, this is not as fun as it might sound; freeform RP though it may be, you have to pretty much maintain status quo. The challenge, however, is to squeeze in as much fighting, character development and inching toward death as possible.
Ketefe, listening to the 'voices' will give you a path that leads downward and toward Asmodai and Rynkura. It will seem pretty senseless though, with such things as walking through walls, turning around and walking back only to find yourselves on an entirely new path, Escher-esque situations where the geometry of the place seems thought-defying and you begin to walk onto walls or in the ceiling or above yourselves, etcetera...
The party up top will have to contend with things starting to literally come out of the walls. And should anyone choose to go down to help the others, it will be an irrevocable choice, because as soon as you go down long enough and take your eyes off the exit, it will 'disappear' behind you and you will be going down the maze along with the others.

Gentlemen,
As much as I love what Boog's been doing with the monsters, and as much as I love fighting myself, if only to gaze at the beauty that is, indeed, myself, things seemed to have...stalled, somewhat.
I'm not complaining, mind, but I do think that perhaps we should take some steps to remedy this.
No offense to Boog, but it's apparent that you might have stuff going on, or that perhaps we're waiting for something that I've neglected or cannot see. Either way...if I may humbly suggest, we might just want to move along with this particular bit and get back to the storyline so far.
What I'm trying to say is that while we're enjoying Boog's temporary GM'ing, it's getting somewhat slow, and we have the means to get back to the normal swing of things.
Believe me when I say I mean no offense, here. I'm just trying to get things moving again.
I think me and Aisha are fighting against different statues. However, that's only what i've interpreted from what i've read.
you may auto Ian untill i catch up if you feel the need. i kinda stoped checking for a while but ill be back soon.

Okay... a little while ago, someone mentioned persuading me to submit a Castle character. The ideas finally percolated through to my keyboard, and the last bits fell into place tonight. Here's Andrace, and right now she's sitting in the Green Room waiting for her cue, drinking something with an umbrella in it.
For the curious, here's a pic of Andrace (http://artzone.daz3d.com/index.php?/gallery/user/vi/&mid=106600&aid=2765).
-------------------
Name: Andrace Kithara
Nickname(s): "Andre" is the only one she can really tolerate. Call her "Andy" and be introduced to your pancreas. She's secretly tickled pink when people call her "that crazy $&@#" or "gawdshe'sbig".
Age: 22
Race: Being
Species: Lion
Family and Association(s): Antimo Kithara (father), Clarice Kithara (mother), Zach, Arcas, Mitri (brothers), Eugenia, Despina, Zoe, Irene (sisters).
Place of Origin: Mytilene, the Kithara family estate.
Physical description
Height: 6' 6"
Weight: 220lb.
Build: Tall and muscular.
Eyes: Dark golden-brown.
Hair: Fiery red.
Fur Coloration: Tawny buff all over, lighter on front, with tail tuft the same colour as her hair.
Distinguishing features: A tall and statuesque lioness, Andrace looks like she could juggle Dragons. Her features are more striking than attractive, her hair is loose, shoulder length and usually at least a little untidy. The rest of her fur is well groomed, though. Andrace's favourite adventuring outfit is a jerkin, shirt and trousers in black/red leather and silk. Depending on what she's wearing (none are visible in the above outfit), some scars can be seen; on her right thigh, stomach, left forearm and back. There's a small silver ring with dangling spikes in her right ear.
Biographical and general information
History: One look at Andrace will tell you what she is: an adventurer. Andrace comes from the Kithara, a moderately successful extended family of adventurers (i.e. still alive and in one piece... mostly... by the time they retire). Trained by her family since she was old enough to stalk a Pygmy Shrew, Andrace learned a variety of weapon styles and fighting techniques.
By the time she was a teenager, she was coming along on some of her family's more straightforward jobs, and proved herself an effective and (when the mood — i.e. teen angst and hormones — struck her) a downright scary fighter. In the four years since she started out on her own, she's done a little bit of most things: courier, guard, bandit suppression, anti-critter patrols, bounty hunting, etc.
She tries to avoid taking on dubious jobs: and apart from one incredibly embarassing exception, she's mostly succeeded in this. (It was bad enough the nice handsome bear who hired her, and who she fell in lust with took a liking to, turned out to be the bad guy. The band of adventurers she didn't know had been called in to bring him down, who burst into his bedroom while he was... preoccupied, turned out to be Andrace's brothers and sisters. Hilarity ensued, mainly because she didn't have time to put her clothes back on until after they'd fought and driven off all the guards. Andrace always enjoyed showing off for her younger siblings, but they'd never seen her do anything quite like this before...)
Both of Andrace's current main weapons have been obtained during her solo career. The sword was the first thing she bought with money she earned all on her own, and the gun was "acquired" in the aftermath — and rubble — of a particularly spectacular and successful bad-guy-disposal job. Not the embarassing one.
Personality: Usually friendly and boisterous. Loud, even (especially after a drink or three). Not just the life and soul of the party, if she's really determined to have a good time she can be the regressed past lives and afterlife of the party as well. Occasionally feels the need to show off, usually when she's comfortable with family or friends. Can seem a bit flirty with friends, but isn't really serious about it. Most of the time. Can become quite ruthless if necessary: she's no dewy-eyed dreamer.
Abilities: An experienced fighter, Andrace is at least somewhat competent with most types of weapon. If it has sharp pointy bits, can shoot, be thrown or or used to hit things (and people), she can pick it up and immediately start beating on some thoroughly deserving monster or rogue Creature. With her favourite sword, though, she's highly skilled.
Andrace has a small amount of magical talent. This limits what she can do, but she's concentrated on learning a few useful spells, e.g. fire-lighting, magical light, and low-level healing. This last is not enough to heal injuries completely, but it can reduce bleeding, pain, and the chance of infection.
Weapons: Her favourite weapons are a large two-handed greatsword (a zweihänder) and, for longer ranges and those hard-to-shift critters, she also has a gun. Considering her size and strength, this almost counts as a small cannon. The ammo is expensive and hard to find, so Andrace only uses the gun very much as a last resort. Knives of various sizes are tucked away, often in the most surprising places, in her clothes. Some of them are shaped and balanced for throwing. Andrace doesn't wear armour, although her dense fur and usual leather jerkin do give some protection. She relies on agility and speed to avoid being injured, and stamina to keep going if she is. As a last resort, she'll use her claws and teeth to best effect.
Neither of her favoured weapons has any sort of magical enhancement, or a fancy name. One of them's sharp and pointy, the other goes "bang" — in Andrace's hands, that's quite enough. She does, though, have a spare magazine stored securely in her backpack, with three bullets left in it. These were specially treated as a birthday present by Andrace's younger sister Despina, a mage. The effects seem to be part high explosive, part napalm, part very-bad-luck hex, and possibly (although it's not easy to tell on top of the other effects) a quick-acting deadly poison. Despina is not someone you want to have PO'd at you.
Strengths: Strong. Stamina by the bucketload. Quick-thinking and confident when she has to come up with a plan in a hurry.
Weaknesses: Considering her height and muscles, Andrace is not most people's vision of "svelte and dainty". Her natural feline agility helps in small spaces, but she can get stuck if she's not careful. Sometimes jumps into things with great enthusiasm, but "makes it up as she goes along" to get out of them.
Trivia: Andrace needs to watch her diet, she's one of those people who can gain a pound or two just by looking at a sticky sweet dessert. She also needs to exercise regularly to keep those muscles.
In addition to the knives intended as weapons, Andrace has a range of useful tools tucked away in hidden pockets all over her clothes: lockpicks, wires, saws, tiny blades etc. There's a lot of them. Not (quite) enough to give her clothes extra armour protection, but they are noticeably heavier than they should be, even after you take all the knives out.
Apart from her never-quite-tidy hair, Andrace is a little vain about her appearance. She's picked up several scars in her years of adventuring, but she's had most of them completely healed, apart from a few suitable to wrap a good yarn around. (One or two are in places only very close friends get to see...)
*snerk*
I love the embarrassing story bit. *giggle*
In light of recent developments and problems, and the way that they haven't magically sorted themselves out, I'm contemplating leaving the forums. So I shall be turning over the role of GM to someone who has the bloody enthusiasm to keep up with this crap.
If people have objections, they can PM or try and talk to me and sort things out like they bloody well should have in the first place.
Anyone who wants to be GM is asked to respond to this post as immediately as possible. People not currently in the RP will be accepted as well.
