The Quality of Mercy

If memory serves me correctly, Mercy is a succubus, a demon with an affinity for lust.  Demons are presumed evil, but evil implies culpability and, therefore, free will. The greatest lust comes from two people in love, combining maximum temptation and maximum opportunity.  Mercy's interests would then lie in encouraging people to indulge in healthy, satisfying relationships that would be to their benefit.

Conclusion: A succubus would be tempted to do good deeds, despite being a demon.

I'm getting far too philosophical about sex.
