Meteor falls over russia.

Yesterday (February 14th 2013) A Meteor storm bombarded the Ural area of russia, 500 people are injured mainly due to the shockwave the airbursts caused. The main cause for the injuries are the broken windows, property damages are pretty bad.

It looks like space is starting to get impatient.  If we aren't going to visit it, then it's going to visit us.

the day of the incident my physics professor greeted the class with youtube clips, impressive. and at the time there were over 900 injured, which did not dissuade him from using it as a teaching tool as the class was already on velocity and trajectory

He could have used it as a teaching tool for so much else... But yeah, smart teacher!

It was quite a fascinating thing to watch from the videos.  You could hear a number of dull echoing thuds after the initial explosion of the falling body. 

I wonder if those were confirmed, as I suspected, as being the impacts of fragments.
