If you've been following American news for the past few days, chances are you're already familiar with the Ohio school shooting that happened Monday. Only three fatalities (though really, any death is a tragedy), and the shooter, TJ Lane, is getting his day in court soon. I have friends out in the area, so you can imagine how concerned I was in this whole thing.

But after all is said and done, I can only hope two things happen: one, that the shooter's moron dad gets outed as much as possible for being an abusive father because maybe, just maybe, this whole thing might not have happened if he didn't treat his family like dirt, and two, that the people running the school don't go on some idiotic security bender and put in more/higher walls and metal detectors.

I don't have high hopes for either. So let's just hope the families involved can cope with the losses.
