I think I'm getting Donna better now, or at least I hope I do. She's not vindictive or unconcerned with other's feelings. She's just decided that she doesn't have time for their hangups. Frankie being the exception, but there she's emotionally invested.

Her expression in Panel Four... wow. She was on the edge of real fear for just a moment, possibly because she cares about Frankie's opinion of her a lot more than she lets on, more than anyone else's, judging from how she acts around others. I wonder if she realizes that. She was settled into being a widow before they met, right? So this is the only Donna that Frankie has ever known, the one that doesn't slow down for anybody and can't be hurt... apparently.
