Just when you thought it was over...

While the cause and full extent of the damage remained unclear, the cables carry more than 75 per cent of traffic between the Middle East, Europe and America and could potentially disrupt communications worldwide.

Feel free to speculate on the cause.  Here's my theory:

augh! again?! what do they have over there servers held together by duct tape. or maybe the entire internet in that area just hinges on a rusty wire somewhere in the middle of the desert.
