That would be, "laisse faire." ;) I was taught that it translates to 'let it be,' but I'm sure it could mean more.

"laissez faire", but let's not quibble. "let make", literally, but you're about right...

Also, wow, sorry this is so off-topic, guys. Derp.

... There's a topic? ;-]

Seriously, topics wander. If we wander a lot, so be it. As long as nobody is upset... but yes, we could go back to the original topic, I guess. I just don't have any opinion on it...

I personally think Nintendo should do something to thank the people who spent thousands of dollars on their games for Gamecube and hundreds of hours. Uh... not that I know anyone like that.  :shifty

I would have hoped that the people who spent the thousands of dollars on their games for gamecube would get the actual enjoyment from the games they bought directly.  This isn't some middle school gathering game where if you get 2000 Nintendo points you get a pizza party. I would hope the reason people buy any game they buy is because they want to play that game and the hundreds of hours of spent were spent because they were having fun with the game on an individual basis.

Seriously. I grew up with video games just as much as the other nerdlings...but there is no reason to think that Nintendo some how "owes" me anything.  It's simple math. If Nintendo releases a game I want to play, I buy it. If they dont, I dont.

However, getting the free Zelda compilation just for buying Wind Waker was a great bonus.  :santa

Edit: Also, Nintendo Club is coming to stateside. Rather, anywhere but Japan. So technically, now there -is- a points system.

Amber Williams

Well there you go!  Enjoy your points system and play your games! :U

Durka durka,

Anyway, a points system, what? Okay, I'm some strange combination of curious and skeptical here, what are you talking about 'Nintendo Club'? (Which by the way makes me think of the ending to Full Metal Jacket for some reason) Also, just out of curiosity how many other AVGN fans are on here?

Kenji

Nintendo Club is a thing in Japan where when you buy Nintendo games you register them, similar to how you do elsewhere, but in the Nintendo Club you get to save up points and use them on tons of great promo stuff. It spans across the entirety of Nintendo merchandise from games, to peripherals, to even their card games. 90% of which is only available to you if you're in the club.

OMGSOMANY of the things they had for earlier releases for games like Zelda and Metroid were so awesome. D:

I am so not gonna make disparaging remark here, as much as I'd like to after hearing that!
