Kelsey Smith.... still a problem

I'm not sure if anybody else has this problem, but my home town is still obsessing over this girl Kelsey Smith. I mean I can't find anything about this girl except about her murder. Whoever hasn't heard about this she was an Overland Park girl who was kidnapped right out of a Target parking lot. I understand why people are sad, but it happened nearly a year ago now. The thing is I also live in Overland Park. Her high school did a tribute to her in the marching band since she was in band, the media is still covering her funeral, and so on. It's gotten out of control. It's good that people have gotten aware about safety here but people need to stop obsessing over the one event. The girl's parents are trying to move on and keep living, but they seem to be the only ones!
