The Darwin Awards are reserved for people who effectively and creatively remove themselves from the gene pool. Most Darwin Awards are post-mortem awards. Alot of the stories are really funny, which I guess it's horrible to say because they died. Or so people tell me.

ditto, but quite a few of the people who win the award have such a complex story i don't know if i should laugh or what

I greatly enjoy skimming through the nominees and honorable mentions. A few weeks ago I actually heard via radio a repeat of this little debacle with an eighty-something man in a fourth-floor hotel room. I lawled greatly.
