On cats: No, there is only one species of tiger, Panthera tigris, but it has many subspecies. The leopard, on the other hand, has quite a few species - the (spotted) leopard (Panthera pardus), the snow leopard (Uncia uncia or Panthera uncia, depending on the age of the reference document), the clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa), the Bornean clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi) and the leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis).

Actually those leopards have a common body structure. For example the Snow leopard and Clouded leopard are very similar. They are leopards that evolved to suit the areas they lived in.
