She's a mythos? But... she has thumbs! She's defying my arbitrarily chosen mythos identification feature!

My world is collapsing.
Will your world go supernova? Then I'll stick around to watch. :3 *joins llearch*
Don't be silly. Worlds don't have enough mass to go supernova. That requires a star. And possibly some sort of hydrogen fusion process, I'm not quite clear on the details.

Am I the only one who thinks Dan was raised by a lecherous monk?

What if your world had a crapload of fusion power plants, and they all decided to explode all at the same time?  Then what?

THEN WHAT?!

I don't think it's even possible for a planet to rival the energy output of a star, no matter how many power plants it has.

There will be lots of spectacular asplodions, and nothing more. Sadly a world as in a planet can't go supernova. But now I am thinking about what would happen if a world as in a universe collapses... >:3

AFAIK a supernova occurs when the star reaches a certain element.  I can't remember the sequence offhand, but it generally runs something like hydrogen/hydrogen -> helium, then helium/helium -> (something else).  IIRC, the last viable element is carbon/carbon -> iron.  If you've ever seen a graph of binding energy against proton number, you'll remember that iron is at the bottom of the curve.  In actual fact iron/iron fusion takes more energy than it releases, at which point things go bang, to put it mildly.
Basically I think the entire star collapses very rapidly.  Quite what causes it to explode after that, I am not certain of.

Actually on topic, I wonder what happens if you stick a spork into the red glowy bit of the Death Knights?

Well, I've got two theories. Theory 1: The red glowy bit asplodes violently. Theory 2: If the bit is rock-hard, so the spork breaks or bends against it harmlessly. :3

Gamma

Some how I'm reminded of Stargate Atlantis, they did get to blow a planet up. By different means though. :mowhappy

Yeah I'll bet if you stick a spork in'em they're done. :U

Could just be Dan shortening the name a little bit, and I don't think it's that unusual. When I was playing an MMO using a single syllable name with five letters, I've had people refered to me using just three.

I personally believe it's a combo of artistic liscense and laziness.  :3

shadowterm

Mythos was my guess actually, I just didn't want to bet on it. She only has three fingers, and they're larger than normal, something I've come to associate with them.

Thats pretty common In every MMO I've played...

Bellandra became Bell
Qilue because Q
Kyo'maeya became Kyo
Kajira became Kaji

Ive started using shorter names now.. hah

Oh, I'm sure Dan could take out a whole room of Deathknights with a spork. If, you know, they were in comas. And already half-destroyed.

That's right Dan. I believe in you.

Both Dan and Hannah have only 3 fingers as well, you know.

Unless you mean 2 fingers and a thumb, like Matilda, but she doesn't.

He means Shanna, I think.  If you look at her in 910, shortly before her transformation, she only has two fingers and one thumb - a fact which I've never consciously noticed before.  Normal furres have three fingers and one thumb (and humans have four).

I still say that - assuming it doesn't destroy the spork and the attacker - sticking it into the red glowy bit would not do them any good.

"The Spork of the Gods"... Dan would need that one! :B By the way, I remember someone posting a link to that thing before, but I can't remember where or when.

It was me :)
Glad someone noticed this time.

I still don't really have an opinion on Anna. Just along for the ride.

And thus, the Spork story remains a Noodle Incident alongside Abel's Library Incident, though in this case, it's probably something closer to Noodle Awesome xD

I'm quite sure Azlan owns the noodle incident concept in the whole comic...
Someone in the valley calls out to me;
A voice from the past, fading out fast;
Am I to be wary, do I have to be;
I just know, I have to be there.

    8) And now we hopefully soon see how the spork thwarted D.P. ( I wonder if that matter will be shown to be resolved in future strips ? )
