Paranoia, I have a question and  it's a good one.

Now If I have an idea Idea, Comic, Short Story, that I slave over in 2001, 2003, 2004 or whenever and I register it with congress in 2006, and I don't publish it until 2007 does that mean once I've registered the characters I can use them for my other short stories, comics, or whatever without worrying about someone stealing them?

or would  the orphan law apply to the unregistered images?
