In all of this I keep thinking, why isn't she just holding the Banana? I supposed I'd be tempted to all sorts of nonsensical things like that if I could.

I want to know what Mab did to lose oven privileges to begin with. As for the banana, I wouldn't put it above her to use magic to hold it just because she felt like letting go but didn't want it to fall.

It's been mentioned that she blew it up on at least one occasion... that's going back a bit.  Page 210 is one of them, there's also mention of brownies on page 615.
