Interesting.  I wonder how they achieved that trick?  And did she actually die or did they convert her directly into a vampire somehow while still alive?
Can you just ask Altair to make someone be undead?

Mwaha I think those questions will be answered in comic... though I now realise I have no idea how the very first vampire would have come about... oh well
