I kind of wonder whether Talon is assuming that Claw is also a Trickster, since no right-thinking agent of Ceraph would hesitate to put a Trickster to death.
In fact I think that happened before with Phoenix Claw in Random Encounter...

How he'll react when it turns out that agents of the Sun and Moon gods are twisting Claw's arm is anyone's guess.  Especially since they aren't exactly prime specimens of Sun and Moon followers anyway...

I think Talon, despite being rude by taking this approach, knows very well that a lightning strike most likely wouldn't hurt the real Claw. That a Trickster in dusguise might die from it, is probably a side effect taken into account already.
