Seems a rather abrupt shift from Daxxon on the farm to Daxxon on the stage. Is there a time period in between them? Maybe this scene we're seeing with Fairwater and Jak is actually a flashback? Or perhaps that's not really Daxxon at all?

Well, it was supposed to be a bit of a twist.  So yes, there is a time period in between, but it's measured in hours rather than days.  The undue haste involved is a running theme in this story.
