Well, that's kind of mean.  I wonder how many other people have earned that?  And whether their sentences will be commuted once there's a new reaper?

I'm left wondering whether this is Mana's penance or a special penance given out for killing someone.

I believe it's a special punishment courtesy of the Reaper. A part of me wonders what Altair has to say about this though? Would he really let his servant do something this severe?
