Hmmm. This sounds like it was a rather traumatic experience to heavily understate things. Though it does raise the question of why Seth was abandoned by his real parents. Of course, no matter what their reasons, their little "introduction" was not exactly the best idea they ever came up with. Doing that to a kid raised in a Being-centric society will never have good results, no matter what species he is.

Given their astonishing lack of parenting skills, they probably just wanted to outsource the job...
