Ooh, is that a monochrome Daryil? Looks pretty sweet. Y'know, Daryil really does look good in black.

Aurik Marr

I like it, but I think he would look cooler with Celtic war braids.

Can I just say...
Superb page. Bravo the pair of you.  :mowsmile
Sad god is sad. Just brings home the power and deliberation that's going on under all the fabulousness.

Well I kind of figured that Fendrick was just a little to far gone to allow him live.

Obviously the bonding to the android body wasn't to good and stable in Fendrick's case.

Yes, it is.  That's the problem, really.

If he's completely an android (unlike Joshua's first build), how would a hole in the head make any difference? Does it go through more than just the shell, into the (positronic or whatever) brain? Did Dariyl let all the hot air out? :mowhappy

Yes, Fendrick's brain is in his head, and it's now sufficiently damaged as to no longer be able to host his consciousness.
Or in other words, he's dead.

Maybe I didn't specifically ask part of the question I was after... Is Fendrick's brain still biological like in Joshua's first replacement body or is it a wholly technological one like the latest? If the latter, how would a mere hole in the casing  make a difference, unless that hole went deeper into the working structure?

Here's a little thought experiment to answer your second question. Put a bullet through your computer's hard drive and try to see if you can still work off of it.

I expect if flamethrowers exist, Matilda would be tempted to install one into her shower.

I didn't really want to post a picture of Fendrick's dead ugly mug on the forum, especially because I wasn't happy with how the insides of the hole came out.
However this may answer your question, and if it doesn't, try increasing the brightness:  http://project-future.org/stuff/things/pf319_6-50.png

But put a hole through just the casing (not through the internal workings) and it will continue working (until dust gets in and physically crashes the disk).

Yes, it shows that the hole is deeper than just the casing, I didn't see that in the smaller image.
