Will we ever see what's behind Geisha's mask? Is it worn for personal or racial reasons?

Kendril, Kurts species, have a weirdly jointed jaw combined with requiring a different atmosphere so a mask helps both problems of breathing and not inspiring nightmares.

the half-kendril half-talmi Melody also wears a veil for that reason, and also the one galaxy girl scout from way back had a mask too but she took hers off

Where did this information come from? Is there some LR wiki I'm not aware of or are you one of the planners behind the comic?
