There are times where I question the wisdom of those guys hiding in Creature-unfriendly areas. Guess they were prepared for this eventuality but there is the question of what they will do when just about everywhere is Creature-friendly.

Works really well showing time gradually pass as the page progresses from panel to panel.

I'm glad to hear you like it! I helped with the colors mainly by studying stop motion videos of sunrises on YouTube.
On Tapewolf's first try the second panel actually looked a bit pink, because I think he was trying to do an algorithmic transition from the filter color in the first panel to the color in the third panel.
