Geez! What is it with villains and the seemingly irresistible desire to grandstand their plans to the intended victims? Pure undeniable ego? Yes, I know, the subject of villains making a show of their "unstoppable" plans allowing someone to somehow prove them wrong has been covered by many others far more articulate and witty than I, but geez, dudes and dudettes, get straight to the deed then brag about it later in a book or movie deal or on the talk show circuit! </justbeingsillyrant

I suppose he did us a favor in not explaining how he would acquire said powers after defeating them.

Though with Rictor and Samsus, its pretty straightforward. Just take the wip and the assorted items in Rictor's pocket (A pocket watch that stops time, how quaint).

While Samsus just involves wearing her suit and finding a Chozo who would play blood donor. "It isn't like the Chozo ascended into a higher plane of existence, right?"
