Missing tails?

Unless this is intentional, do not all winged creatures have tails, or is sort of an accidental omission?  I noticed in Strange Bedfellows, Jakob has a tail in page 1, panel 3 (the scrabble board), but it doesn't show up in any other panels on other pages.  Same goes with the main comic, some winged characters don't even appear to have tails.  Nothing against Tapewolf or anything, just something that's had me curious.

--EDIT--
Though reading the cast page, it appears this is just an accidental omission (and some character's tails are too short to be seen from certain angles)

They all have tails.  Ashley's tail isn't very long because he's a lynx and unless he's drawn from behind you're probably not going to see it.
Occasionally we forget to add them, e.g. strips 83 and 85 should have tails on Dorcan but they were omitted somehow - I might go back and fix those. Quite often the characters are in a position where the tail isn't visible anyhow.

That's why I added the edit after reading the cast pages.  Apparently after you replied to my post, but didn't show up until a few minutes after.  I probably should have read the cast page first before creating this post, and I do realize people forget to do things.  I do that alot sometimes.

Yeah, I only saw the edit after posting.  For a physical part of a character to go missing, Ren has to forget to draw it and I have to forget it's supposed to be there.  At the end of the day it happens rather more regularly than I'd like.

**EDIT**
Strips 83-85 now have somewhat more tail in them.  Some of these are subtle fixes and you'll have to refresh them because of the way the caching works (aggressively).

Then again, Dorcan and others' new bodies don't have to have tails if you don't want them to.

BTW, do they dock tails like RL dobermans and sheep (and whatever else)?

Amber hasn't covered that.  I am going under the assumption that it's illegal to dock tails/ears at birth unless there is a clear medical reason, but that if you - as an adult - wish to get your ears or tail surgically altered, that is your decision.

As per FH, Dorcan had his tail docked as a teen, much to his mother's fury.  However, it grew back, as Creatures tend to regenerate lost limbs.
