VSMIT is banned because Macs are still to expensive when you look at the product/cost ratio. They are simple and have one button, true, but you end up paying far too much money for less hardware, with something that can use less software and is less compatible than other, more powerful machines for a comparable price, simply for the guarantee that the OS is harder to break than Windows. That's how I see it, anyway.

On the other hand, the recent controversy over Vista nearly made me switch to linux, so...
