Where are you getting 3 deaths? Dan defeated DP 3 times in the current (non-flashback) timeline. I only know of one death for sure (without searching), and that was the 3rd defeat. Until this flashback is done, I maintain that one or both of the first two defeats can still be non-lethal. As of this point in the flashback, we have no evidence that he has ever died even once yet. And coming back isn't solely the domain of the undead, a resurrection doesn't create undead, it negates a death.
