Okay, I find this surprising you all did this well.  Is this because all of you are proficient at guns or something?  It just seems odd that given how much many of you love animals, that you'd be able to survive an attack by them and don't consider them a threat.

I'm not proficient with guns. I'm capable, in that I've shot one before, but that's about the limit.

It's probably more: I'm skinny, I run like a rabbit, I climb like a skwerl, and swim like a fish.

I suspect I'd probably learn I can't hold my breath as long as I thought, which would lower my ability somewhat...

My dad owns a dojo, and knife fighting is on the curriculum. And no, it's not a money guzzler dojo, you actually learn applicable material.

i am very surprised that i scored so high versus a shark, but it seems the ability to scream like  a scared opera tenor is one of the highest survival skills aside from the use of a knife.

I agree that I would most likely suffer a horrible death if I met a wild gorilla though.

From what I've read, wild gorillas tend to avoid people rather than attack them, so you're probably pretty safe in any case.

I'm not sure why a house cat would attack a human. All the house cats I know regard humans as food providers, door openers, and cat beds, not prey.

(And the same largely goes for dogs, too. All the medium and large dogs I've ever met were friendly souls who would much rather have you scratch their ears and tummies.)

Well, I seem to have done surprisingly well. I also tried not to overstate my stats, so I think that if an animal was actually after me, I would fare much better(adrenaline would help quite a bit after all).

Also, I marked down that I have never used a gun, which is true. I think however that I have seen enough stuff on film that I could probably figure it out quickly enough if I am being attacked.

Also, house-cat wise, generally the ones that aren't tame tend to not want to come near - I have *never* seen a house-cat attack. Self defense, yea(if you try to grab a feral cat or trap one, they will definitely scratch you). Perhaps they were talking about a rabid cat?

Hm...so gun familiarity is not the overriding factor in survival.

Housecats can be vicious if you don't have any muscle mass to fend them off.  They have claws and fangs, which are enough to kill and pose a threat.  Fortunately, all cats that I have encountered have run away.  I can't say the same for dogs, which tend to growl and become threatening, living weapons of death when I'm around.

As far as personal disadvantages, I can't swim, so that leaves me to be literally dead in the water, with or without a shark attack.  Maybe all these scenarios assume water is around and you can run and jump into a lake to survive.

I doubt it; I have a weak scream, and answered as much, but I still scored fairly well (100% on cat and raccoon, and 25% or better on everything else)

I pretty much have average or just below average on most of the abilities asked about... or said I did.
