"Run away - always a valid career choice."

Assuming giant angry spider robots aren't trying to stop you.

Malakin

Ohh, Sheridan you got Stalker too ?

Anychance of some 'Zone-anomaly' type, well.. anomalies? :P

They would be fun to play with :)

If you call being pulverized fun.

llearch n'n'daCorna

... is that third choice supposed to be the best defensively, or offensively?

I'd comment further, but I don't want to ruin the game for Sheridan. :-]

Offensively, maybe, but it's a fire-truck. Armour was dropped for speed. :B

EDIT: Wow, I only just now noticed that one of the techs swore. Dammit, I'm overexposed to foul language! :P

Hmm, lets see, the firetruck has no crane, less armour and a weapon that uses rare fuel...

The standard one has little armour, no defensive weapons, and is painted with 'soft blue lines to make it stand out'...

Where as the Raging Death Machine (RDM) has defences, camo, weapons, but looks nasty enough so that people who cant take it out will run away (maybe losing many useful contacts that way) and the people who can moslikly will as soon as they see it...

So one is a fiery deathtrap, the other is just asking to be raided/looted by the nearest person with a gun and the last is going to be shot on sight by anyone with any brains!

Anychance that we can do a bit of DIY with the help of the mechanics at the bunker to make the RDM a bit less agressive looking?

On the other hand the last one has a very powerful if somewhat exotic weapon. :B

I don't think Johanna has access to the outdoor systems. That is why she wasn't able to detect or track Terra's signal. Maybe someone can grant her access, connect some wires or something...

Yes, the weapon sounds very Fun, However since my char can not use it, no one gets the chance!  >:3 J/K

However my sensibilitys tell me to go with the heavily armoured vehicle, as thats the only thing thats going to save you in an ambush; The most deadly of bushes!

I know there is a political joke that can be gleaned from this, but I can't seem to come up with it.

This would be a concern better voiced from an IC PoV, would it not? :P

EDIT: Are you guys repainting the entire truck black, or just the military insignia?

llearch n'n'daCorna

May I make a suggestion for the painting?

Was planing on just the military insignia and repaining the bumper spikes.

llearch n'n'daCorna

Damn. Have you got enough weaponry embedded in that courtyard, Sheridan? :-]

The best defense so far involves a good first offense.  Build a tiberium refinery and sell it right after it deploys the harvester.  The sale deploys a platoon of troops and gives you a $1k back, which is quite good for a harvester and a platoon of infantry... then you race your platoon to the enemy base and shoot everything up or take the crane and build turrets right in the enemy base... instant win.

Wait... I digress.

Who is the driver of that monstrosity?

I should mention that Johanna is not aware of every piece of infomation that passes through her network. While she could be, it just not very good for one individual to have the amount infomation that an AITOS can gather in larger networks. Especially since they also handle classified information.

On an unrelated note, AITOSes of the same series refers to each other as brothers and sisters. :U

I should point out, here...

They haven't kept Terra from death yet, Somber. Don't go counting your chickens before they hatch. :-] I'm sure Sheridan has some surprises in store. :-]

Most of the bunkers are built on top of underground sources of water, so water isn't an issue. Food is. ;)

llearch n'n'daCorna

... until something gets into the aquifer, of course.

Radiation is like that. As are biological attacks...

Oh. Erm. Sorry, Sheridan. :-]

Arcalane

Don't make me cart you off to the recycling depot. :B

As for the aquifers, they're the underground sort that would be hard to find and even harder to sabotage.

So of course they're going to run out eventually as a plot point. :mwaha

Azlan

If the underground water source is contained and isolated, then radiation is not a problem.  Gamma radiation experiences an exponential decrease in intensity with thickness.  The ground is likely very thick...
"Ha ha! The fun has been doubled!"

Somber

Radiation doesn't hurt water by itself.  Well, it ionizes it, but it doesn't mess it up.  The problem is when fallout is washed into the aquifer.  Even the slightest particle of plutonium is toxic enough to be fatal.  Many communities simply lack the ability to block out the radioactive particle, which can even adhere to steam.  So depending on the status of their aquifer it could be a vital problem.  The surest bet would be 100% water recycling, but that is a very intensive process with some icky consequences if things break down.
