A central philosophical issue with worlds, possible or impossible, is how they represent what they represent. This is obviously connected to the problem of what kind of things they are. Perhaps impossible worlds are metaphysically different from possible worlds, and represent in a different way. Or perhaps they are metaphysically on par with possible worlds.
