So technically, Alph is undead...

If Alph used his own necromancy on himself to resuscitate himself after the crystal fiasco, he's undead himself.  Well he hides it well.  Which then brings the next question, if he's a form of undead, why does he hate his own creations with such loathing?

He's not an undead in the conventional sense, since he has a working metabolism with blood flow and is capable of feeling pain.  For instance, Dan was able to kill him with a sword-stroke to the torso in the early Dark Pegasus storyline (157), and more recently, after fighting Dan in full incubus mode, he collapsed from his injuries (989) and would probably have died without Regina's assistance.

Were DP a walking cadaver, Dan would have had a lot more difficulty killing him, and there would have been a lot less blood if he was stuffed with sawdust or polyfilla or whatever they use on zombies these days.

I would suggest that DP is using the same basic technology of reanimating a body and pulling a soul into it that he discovered while researching undeath, but he's using it more as a kickstart until his demon regeneration is able to take over.

EDIT: As for why he hates them, he seems to look on them as walking reminders of his greatest mistake (922).

Unless DP is a walking example of what a zombie looks like who dines frequently on the fresh hot flesh of the living...

I think Aliph figured out a way to reverse death.

But, he's also a bit of a doof at this magic thing, so he probably doesn't realize that the reverse death spell warps the mind a little more each time.

Heck, maybe he'll resurrect the dark god by bringing back a piece of it little by little each time he dies.

Or, you know, maybe he'll just have his body burned at some point.
Am I the only person who thinks that Mr. Roboto rusts out and eventually becomes the Ironman?

No not that Ironman, the other one!
