I just checked IGN on the subject. Looks like it's not much to write home about. Just running, targeting, and shooting most of the time and not much beyond it.

I'm not that into the World of FFVII anyway, so the only way I would buy this if I'm done buying all the other games I'm after. It sucks not having money. :redrum

I think there's footage on the game in the bonus features in the Advent Children movie.

The movie also means very little to me. Going back to the original game, it's easily the worst FF I've played, though that's not to say that it's a crap game. I just really don't see how this is the one people are still talking about. The gameplay jumped back further than even the first Final Fantasy and the story isn't as surprising and deep as many seem to say.

King Of Hearts

I played it a bit when the Japanese release came... it was... alright I guess. But Id rather just play God of War or Devil May Cry.

yes i know, but our DVD player remote doesn't work anymore due to my younger brother dousing it with water ;;

And guys, don't come waddling in saying all the things you DON'T like about FF, why not come and say what you DO like about the games =3

Does anyone know how to freakin Beat freakin Seymour in X?

Level grinding helps...

In fact, if we're talking about the Gagazet version, it may be the only way. He's capable of doing some insane damage on all of your charactors at once, and the zombie status to full-life combo he performs is cheap. Try to equip zombie ward armor or cast reflect to stop the cheap stuff, and definitely bring Auron for the big damage and high defense he offers. Yuna can help, but I would fully charge her overdrive first to ensure you can get full use of her. The third member should just be the one you've been leveling up the most. That's all I can say for that battle.

Nikki

ok, here's what i did: fought with all Aeons and got ALL of them to overdrive mode. Even Yojimbo.
got yuna to overdrive
Got everyone else to overdrive

..almost got my ass kicked.

*huggles Valefor* My Savior!!

Is that the weaker overdrive, or the one you get in the dog's mouth back a Besaid? I could never remember which was which.

I'm assuming you are now in the mountain caves at this point? Or were we speaking of a different encounter with Seymour?

OK, got the game. Well, this opinion is coming from someone who has based their life around FF7 and FF:AC, but I really don't think it's that bad. It provides good fun for those who like FPS, but also entertains FF freaks, cuz the enemies have HP. It really explains the story behind Vincent, so that you realize just what he went through. It has it's it's faults, such as difficulty waling around corners with your gun out, and NO BLOOD OR BODY WOUNDS, but it's still a nice game overall. It has tons of sub-missions, so it has a good replay value, and the graphics are purely amazing. While there is no Nanaki (my fav), it has all the other FF7 main characters, as well as a few new ones. While it may not rank up there with God of War or Devil may cry, it still is a cool FPS game definitely worth playing. [/endopinion]

I sense that you don't want any arguments but I will go so far as to say that the level to which there is blood and gore should not be important enough to complain about or even bother mentioning in a fantasy shooter where your gun shoots fire and/or ice.

Okay, now I'm confused since I though it only possible to return to Besaid after getting the airship. Getting the airship happens after you reach Zanarkand and you don't sound like your there yet.

Yes back at Besaid. Besaid is essentially the first area of the game that is connected to the rest of the world and Zanarkand is the last. All other locations that are not on the path (or slightly of course of which) can only be visited or revisited after one gains access to the airship.

The road from Besaid to Zanarkand:

Besaid
Kilika
Luca
Mi'ihen Highroad
Mushroom Rock (battlesite for the attack on Sin)
Djose Highroad
Moonflow ("ridesh de shupuff?")
Guadosalam
Thunder Plains
Macalania
Bevelle's front door, which can't be entered.
Calm Lands
Mt. Gagazet
Zanarkand

The thing stopping you from turning all the way around and returning to Besaid after you escape Bevelle is the fact that the Guado will no longer let you enter their town, even to pass through, so any backtracking you might want to do can only go as far as the Thunder Plains untill you have the airship.

You go back to Besaid later for Valefor's second overdrive, a discussion with Valefor in its chamber, and one of the memory spheres Auron needs for his overdrives. If you missed the treasure in the Cloister of Trials, you might find yourself doing that all over again as well.

good point, Good point indeed^^
It's definitely got a lot of improvement to make it to God of War rating. Vincent needs a cow costume
