Wellp, looks like Ashley is spot-free as I suspected. And yes, Yak(ovlev) did overreact.

I'm not so sure mind control is involved though.

If the argument was convincing enough, maybe Ashley would betray Yak. While clan Daryil might be able to take on one single faction of people, I's have doubts they could take on more then two. This group just smells of organized and multiple government backed special ops.

It's been several years since I read the whole story, so far some strips have been a pleasant flashback while others, like this one, caught me totally off guard. And I love it :)
