I'm a part of the "Abel's asexual" boat, yeah.  I have a whole rant about it, but I figure it'd be nice just to see if the other boats sink.

I believe all of the changes in the character are due to Amber's art progressing. With time she becomes more and more capable of presenting her characters the way she really likes them to look. I mean look at the three versions of the Egyptian girls:
