Big wing commander fan back in the day.
Beating Kurosawa 2, as well as that one in Special Operations 2 with the double-Fralthra run,are some of the most satisfying moments I've ever had.
Fan of Wing Commander, but a bigger fan of Freelancer. It was blasted to heck for not offering joystick support, but the mouse-driven interface made flying and fighting in the game a breeze. That, and the fact that your guns FOLLOWED the mouse cursor rather than always having to line up your target in the middle of the screen made things much more enjoyable. (Which meant that you could pull off some wicked dodging maneuvers WHILE still attacking.)
I probably would've been a big fan of Privateer if I had HEARD much about it, but I was young then and had little access to gaming news and information.
Just finished a freelancer session on the RP server for the Discovery mod. One of my favorite games of all time, and I play it quite often (if only trading was a bit more interesting)
