Because a rought night isn't complete until you wake up and wander about without your pants on.

:U I wonder if either Jyrras or Wildy noticed Dan's clan marking in the meantime.

I'd imagine that both of them are interested in a different feature of his. ;)

This means it's another few days until more things get explained. Oh well.

Would have been perfect if Merlitz was still around. Mainly because I could see him taking fire to his eyes after seeing Dan.

Wildy appears to be somewhat enjoying the view while Jyrras is giving him privacy after the first glance.

It seems to me, the more I look at it, that there seems to be a small gap between two of Jyrras' fingers. He wouldn't be peeking, now would he?

Since we've seen Dan sleep in his pants, I'm going to guess his sister put him to bed.  Alexsi is the only one who wouldn't be bothered (in any sense of the term) by doing so.

Since this doesn't get any milage out of the rule of funny, I'm probably wrong.

Ah, I see Tezkat and I agree.  Doesn't  make us any more likely to be right, but at least we're company.

I can understand what you mean, but it's more likely that Dan's head is just slightly turned to the left, where he'd see Jy and Wildy.

Also, speaking of frame 2, would I be wrong in saying that Dan might have Abs?

Well, there was the time when the Pokemon (tm) serum wore off (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_016.php) and the bits after Dan and Abel got splattered with paint (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_626.php).

Edit:

If Alexsi has the fire department on speed dial, isn't it also possible that she has the healer on speed dial and that it was the doctor or accompanying nurse who undressed Dan.

In addition, it is also possible that there was no physical manifestation causing Wildy to discuss happiness.  However, she might have been prepared to follow the comment with "Made you look".

Well, when your brother is an adventurer , you may get used to him coming home all beat up and needing to make sure the artery in the thigh is not cut, legs are not broken, etc. Plus, with no romantic interest since you think of each other as siblings, it would be much easier for Lexi to do so.

..Though I could be wrong. They don't make clothing for spidertaurs...Which could be why Charline fears me. ;)

Oedipus complex is only IF you are raised by your lover/wife and you know she is your mother....Dan has never met his grandma, and being many times removed should count for something..... Which maybe not the case here..... Destania could be the daughter or granddaughter of the Cyra...

Jyrras might be locking that memory away in 'things I like but will never see again' category.  Knowing him he covered his eyes as a decency to Dan and as a way for him not to act remotely like Kira.
Widly is just taking pot shots at Dan's full frontal nudity.

Though one thing does get me intrigued... Fi was quick to try and warn Dan of his upcoming (and avoidable) embarrassment and tossed Dan the pants while asking if he wanted them before he asked for them.  Mad thinks Fi evolved a few levels along with his new height advantage.

Yes Westermarck Effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westermarck_effect#Westermarck_effect)   Works both ways (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_692.php).   Alexsi and Dan grew up together as sister and brother,  hence are not attracted to each other.  Hey, let's face it, Alexsi is hot too.

Uh, reread the text in that sequence, it seems that family tree 'tween Cyra and Dan is short.  She actually is his grandmother.

OH DEAR GODS.

Also: Jy is blushing, you can see a little slplash of pink in the 3rd Panel.

Not really, hints at nudity are far more effective then full frontal.

Point the First: You should all be ashamed of yourselves, diving into the gutter at the least provocation!

Point the Second: That includes me. I'm right there with you and enjoying every minute of it.  :mowwink

Yes, I do believe that I see a hint of abdominal definition under the fluffy fur. Perhaps not as well-defined as Abel's, but probably more natural. As for the rest...um...why wouldn't Jy be peeking (even if he's a little embarrassed), and why wouldn't Wildy be enjoying the view? It makes perfect sense to me, even if they might just be enjoying a common biological reaction that has more to do with daily hormonal cycles than anything else.

I'd sure be blushing like mad...but that doesn't mean the aesthetics would go unnoticed. Were I in Dan's shoes, on the other hand...Yeah, a total and complete freak out followed by scrambling for and/or demanding pants seems pretty accurate.

*Edit*

Oh, and one more thing: Dang it, enough with the TV Tropes links already! Yes, they're on topic and yes, they're apropos, but I go in well-deserved fear of losing hours of my time to perusing the extensively cross-referenced and amusing archive!

So, I won't link to TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life.  :)  Yes, they have a trope for that too.

I note that Dan's clan mark is now fully developed (panel 2).  Of course, he hasn't had a chance to notice it yet.

I'm a little surprised that Dan doesn't feel weak or dizzy, considering that he's lost a lot of blood.

Well Dan is a Cubi and Cubi can regenerate entire limbs in a short moment, whit a little help. Abel was missing half a wing (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_595.php) and a few moments later he had fully recovered and packed his tings (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_597.php). Cubi have a rather good recovery speed so it's not surprising. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if at some stage blood becomes unessential just as food, water, air and sleep.

I was just trying to summarize the scenes relating to Dan without pants.  (Why do I have an image of this being sung by Men Without Hats.)

This is when the Pokemon serum wears off.  As goes the line in Shakespeare's As Ypu Like It, Dan is definitely "sans everything". (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_016.php)
Dan is still wearing his robe here. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_047.php)  But there is a certain implication. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_550.php)
A moment that Dan definitely hopes is not a Kodak moment somewhere.  Again, Dan was apparently "sans everything". (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_128.php)
Dan is without pants.  But where would he put them? (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_245.php)
Dan dancing on the roof without his robes. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_259.php)  However, this scene (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_176.php) and this one (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_518.php) appears to indicate that he normally has pants under his robes.
A moment without his pants that Dan wishes wasn't a Kodak moment. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_299.php)
Just checking for marks. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_550.php)
Red paint sometimes results in strange images. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_626.php)
The current source of amusement and embarrasment.  At least Wildy wasn't carrying a camera.  However, considering how into techno Jyrras is, what are the odds that he's carrying a cell phone with a camera. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1007.php)

Edit:

If there are healing potions in Furrae, I suspect that Alexsi keeps a few cases in stock.

Also he got revived from death in moments even thou he had a large wound just by hinting Alzan on the head whit a staff.(http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_160.php)

Granted, it wasn't all that doomy to start with (I don't think "Biggs" intended for Dark Pegasus to actually be resurrected while Dan was there, unless...), but my money is on something along the lines of:

QuoteDammit, getting Dan into life-threatening danger is my job! My brother will pay dearly for this...

Or maybe:

As funny as this may sound... it was about time Amber did some Fanservice for the type that is into men.
Believe me I was ecstatic over the previous female loving fanservice.

DEEBS (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_369.php), doesn't really count but she's cute.
Matilda (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_407.php)  ...She has no wardrobe
Lorenda (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_768.php), she's kinda topless in this one...
Our favorite AMAZON (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_885.php), the more she fights the more cloths she looses.
and only because she's cute Cyra (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1000.php)... her selection of cloths is instant fanservice in my book.

Second edit:

I blew up the image on the computer, but the pixelization makes it impossible to tell if Jyrras is peeking.  However, the positioning of the fingers does appear consistent with peeking.  If he really didn't want to see, he could turn his back to Dan.  At least, he isn't holding a magnifying glass or pair of binoculars.

Seriously?

Well, when your brother is an adventurer , you may get used to him coming home all beat up and needing to make sure the artery in the thigh is not cut, legs are not broken, etc. Plus, with no romantic interest since you think of each other as siblings, it would be much easier for Lexi to do so.

I'd say most siblings wouldn't think of each other as hot (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_692.php), or even care to look in that way.

And now the solve the riddle of "Who took Dan's pants off".

In comic #988 it's stated he's barely conscious, not unconscious. Also, in comic #998 we can read he's resting. People who are in a coma or unconscious don't need to be left alone to rest.

Therefor, I find it more likely he took them off himself. After they healed him up he shouldn't have had any trouble with that.

Besides sometimes it's just too hot for pants in bed  :)

Dan now has some magical hero credentials: not aware of heritage, gone to a magical school, faced and defeated a powerful enemy twice without really knowing what the hell he was doing, and now is having numerous embarassing and humerous situations.

Perhaps he is seeing through his arch-enemy's eyes: He-Who-Must-Be-Named-Dark-Pegasus... who has indeed come back from the dead!  And his clan symbol is actually a scar made by Dark Magic!

Dan is the Chosen One!   :U

A few things.

Of course Wildy will enthusiastically point out Dan's blunder in the most embarrassing way possible.  That's one of the true joys of her life!

Earlier, someone suggested Wildy saying something like "Hi, Dan! Glad to see you're up!"  If Amber had used that line, she would have had to change the comic rating!

As for what kind of . . .  ummm . . .  appearance Dan had when he stepped out of the room, there is something guys call "Morning Wood."  No hot dreams or anything else required, just basic guy biology.

Perhaps it had already happened. sometimes authors will tell one line of a story then go back a short time and tell another line. In The Wheel Of Time series, I think one of the books even started months earlier than the previous one ended (I forget whether it was in the prologue or chapter 1).

Pretty sure the prologue started with the big boss battle. Hence why I stopped around part 7, I wanted that boss fight to arrive already. No RPG I ever played was that slow with that many plot-twists.

But it's a default story technique, really, starting with the end or the middle, then jumping back to the start. Haruhi, however, now that was a fun tactic.

Not a prophecy btw, just Phoenixes being weird as always. And it already happened by then.

Someone on the webcast (the next week) had a theory, and I have a feeling they might be right; this was the "fanservice".

And if that is true, then I'll take a moment to say: Well played, Amber. Well played.
