It's all in the editing. Splitting the story into pages of approximately 6 panels wasn't easy, but somehow I managed to get it so there's a slightly cliffhangery bit at the end of each one.
Dorcan does do the D: face a bit, but not nearly as much as Joshua. IIRC the last time he does it this chapter is in page 57.
By the way, page 55 was the halfway point for this chapter.

Just to keep y'all in the loop, Ren has been suffering from artist's block, but is getting over it.
With luck and a following wind, we'll be updating Saturday, though it'll probably be the final
version of P56 rather than advancing the story.

I haven't seen him yet either. From what I heard, he was inking it when he went to bed yesterday.
If you're stuck/blocked/whatever, you can look at magazines... entertainment weekly, the news papers, and other comics for inspiration. TV tropes is always a fun read also... it makes it easier for you to try and come up with random never before thought up idea.
I now have the line-art, so barring catastrophe, expect p57 around the normal time today.
