What would you drink to? Someone getting their arm chopped off? From what I've heard of the movie, you'd be dead from alcohol poisoning before you were halfway in.
Jubblies is banned for not taking a large drink of water before bed. The headache that alcohol provides is caused by the alcohol molecule using water molecules in the process of being absorbed by the body; the most obvious place for this to happen, for various complicated biochemical reasons, is in the brain.
Hence the headache; drinking a large glass of water before collapsing will supply enough water that the body doesn't have to cannibalise itself to rid itself of the toxic substance.
Also, tolerance depends on practice; if you drink once a year, you end up feeling very poorly the next day, and it has a much greater effect on one's metabolism. If you drink more frequently, you can usually drink more, and get less drunk.
... having a child is a great way to ensure that next time, you'll get trashed, if only because you probably won't get to drink for 6-12 years...
