It's sad she cannot mourn or take vengeance, least the Pegasus did not flee but is instead indisposed. With what exactly is yet a mystery.
She seems to calm to be anything but sober right now. Would have been better for DP to show back up to a pile of rubble. That tends to put a dent into plans.

From my point of view, she's saying that right now is not the right time to break down and mourn her lost sister. She'll mourn later when they have time to, but for now they have to gain vengeance on DP. I like her a lot now: she - unlike a lot of people - knows when and when not to cry, and she knows that right now is not the time. At least, I think that's what she's saying.
As for DP... who the hell is he having dinner with?! There's someone else at that table!
I should have noticed this a few comics ago, but this is the most clothing we've seen Shanna wear. Also, maybe I don't look at furry art enough, but outside of Arthur, that's the first anthro anteater I've seen.
I thought that was a tapir, myself.
Shanna seems like she might do fairly well in acting, what with the way she's speaking.
A Mystery in a red sfirt! Who has the guts to speak that way to Dark Pegasus?! As for Shanna, i think being overdressed(for her) brings out the angry vengefull warrior in her. :sword
The mystery was more as to why then whom, at first glance I thought it might be Kass he was having dinner with. But upon remembering Kass was not wearing red I took another look.

Kass must have decided to tell him she quit or inform him of another visitor. One with better intentions apparently.
I am certain it is not Kass at the table with him because of the elbow, Kass has gray fur instead of charcoal/black. It's not Kria either due to her pattern, for those few of you thinking that. The clothing might become tighter around the elbow but with the clothing style Amber draws for this era it is unlikely a shirt/dress that changes fabric at the elbow.
I can't think of who it might be we already know of.
At least that's my take on the situation from what I remember.

But one must remember one must be careful around demons, less they rampage and and eat you.
She should just stand their and be quite. Fortunately for her DP seems use to this and is letting her of with a snide remark and I hope a reduction in tip, like she deserves.

Thanks that changes the story completely for me. I was wondering why she was even speaking to DP.
I wonder just how infamous DP is at this point in time. I mean, is he at the point where all know his name and loathes him, or is he at the point of just a well known evil? If it's the former then whoever he's talking to has either got to be very ballsy, or powerful enough that they're not scared of him. If it's the latter... I wonder just how far one has to push DP with stupidity/rudeness until he breaks and starts trying to kill them.

Either the adventure's not done yet or this isn't the first time Dan defeats DP. This only says it's one of Dan's first adventures (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_875.php), not necessarily the first time he defeated DP.
Hmm. I just noticed something. Amber's really good at designing clothes. I'd love to wear some of the stuff in the comic.

I think he just neglected to check on the ultimate success of his attacks (or didn't care), probably because of Cass dragging him away to (or reminding him of) his dinner appointment. He'll be surprised that Dan survived that attack at least, if not Anna too. And he probably doesn't know the cause of the demolition, since Shanna and Aliyka didn't show up til he was gone.
Well, I was just paraphrasing. All in all, I think that he wouldn't be downplaying the events so much as he wouldn't care what had happened. I still think he would have said "I cleaned up a bit of a mess I made."

Okay, so maybe he's currently deciding what kind of tea he wants. My vote: an herbal tea. Maybe chamomile. I always like a mug of chamomile tea at bedtime.
