What the hell is Albanion doing there?

Lets see... fae that was playing a role, apparently helpful, nice, part and reason the creature-being council exists...

Erm... What. Is. He. Doing. There?

I'll just go recheck the info about faes in demo 101 again.

Yay, another fae. :p

This one doesn't seem to think that the butterfly wings are femine like Azlan does. Of course, adventuring necessatates a more masculine look. :p

At first I thought it was Kria in disguise watching the ensuing drama, but then yea hehe, it clearly isn't her. There could be a number of reasons for him to be there. I can't imagine the council would send only Kria to gather intel on Jy, so this guy is probably there for the same reason, and probably another reason all together since Mab is with Jy.  ;)

Mabye Mab's past is finally catching up to her?

Well, seeing as he is part of the creature-being council, he is interested in creature-being relationships? Wait- that sounds like a fetish.

Ahem. Is this the same council Kria was commanded by? If so, I guess Albanion himself decided to come- to warn or watch, though this isn´t the greatest display of spy skills I've ever seen.

Where has Mab dissapeared to? Oo

Seems likely to me. Perhaps he was sent to find Mab, but was distracted bu an interesting conversation.

Or perhaps he just read their minds and knows they know Mab. :<

This is exactly why I started the thread "Council Confusion" a little while ago. It is the Creature Council, not the Creature-Being Council, that is after Jyrras. The Creature Council is the shadow organization that has always dealt with internal Creature affairs and external threats, the Creature-Being Council merely handles Creature-Being legal cases.

Well, since the topic is "All Hail Queen Mab"........

I'm betting the Fae is there specifically to talk to Mab who has obviously wandered off due to seeing something shiney and/or cuddly that she needs to hug.

She'll be back soon. Unless there are a lot of shiney cuddly things that need hugging where she has wandered off to. In that case, they would need to use a large amount of aluminum foil in order to draw her attention back to them since they would then shine more then the other things in the area :)

Yeah, I kinda agree with that. I just doubt that Albanion is here because of the Creature Council, he's prolly just around to hang with Mab  ;)

EDIT: no, hang on, scratch that, wait a sec....

EDIT: well shoot, I can't really conclusively say, since the guy is in shadow it's impossible to know if his face has the long snout/muzzel/whatever the hell you call it on a horse.

Yeah I kinda had a hard time seeing it too, the first thing that caught my eye was that swirl on the forehead, when I turned up the contrast on my monitor you can kinda make out the nose line and the ears.

Yeah, I imagine that pretty much all the Creature Races would have multipel representatives, representing all the factions/clans/ect. from all the races, and I think that the representatives themselves would be pretty high up, which is why I think that (for the Cubi at least) ALL the clan leades would be preseant as their own representative.

Non-voting advisors, perhaps.  I seriously doubt that the rest of the council would allow a hundred clan members to each get a vote.  It might fly with some of the other races that have clans, but some races, like the undead, who (probably?) have only one seat would surely block any effort to do that.

Two members is still going to give them twice the power of a race that doesn't have any clans.
Title: Re: 5/2/07 [782] A shrubbery

Yeah it would have to be ones of very powerful clans, other smaller ones probably have their own council setup to send someone to speak for them as a whole. If Cyra's clan is really powerful they probably have(had?) their own representative. Abel though, since his clan barely exists has no representative.

Thats why I also said factions/ect. I'm sure EVERY race, EVEN the Undead, have different groups with differing agendas, hell most Undead are really the good people who sometimes even re-commit suicide cuz they don't want to eat someone else alive, but I'm sure there exist sickos that do. I think I could safely say that thos two groups would NOT want the same representative.

So the undead have two representatives?  One for 99.44% of the race, and one for the other 0.56%?  I don't think that that would go over too well.

I'm sticking to one voting seat per race, and perhaps that seat is divided up equally or proportionally between the different factions.

Yeah, what's Albanion doing there?  Fortunately, the "present" Albanion seems to have Beings' best interest in mind.  He doesn't seem quite as flighty as Mab, but a bit moreso than Azlan.

My best guess is that he wanted to talk to Mab about goings-on in the Fae kingdom, but stopped to watch the little being and the half-demon talk.

Also, Demo 101 says he's in the Being/Creature council, not the Creature Council, and whoever that is in 336 is most definitely not a horse.(Amber's drawing styles haven't changed THAT much.)

Then the problem becomes what makes a 'group'?  No two beings ever think exactly a like and are therefore going to be considered a "different group."  There is also the fact that the council exist specifically to repesent groups found in Furrae.  So the issue would go from seperating wigs to seperanting the hairs on said wigs, defeating the whole "cutting down" process that forces a council of some sort to exist in any democratic medium.

Ah, but aren't the gemstones on both the silhouette and Albanion's foreheads the same? The image in the Demonology 101 profile for the Fae is pretty similar to the Albanion we see in the comic, with a few minor discrepanices that is.

I find it odd that the fae has one white hand and one black hand
Not really. It's quite common for horses and other hoofed animals to have hooves of different colors, usually based on the color of the leg above it. White marked legs have white or pink hooves, and dark legs black, grey or even reddish brown hooves. Sometimes you even have hooves that are more than one color at once; in fact, Appaloosas have striped hooves...

...but I won't bore you anymore. ^.^

Just on the whole fae thing, where on earth IS Azlan these days? I imagine being bullied into putting up shelves and getting the lawn mowed, but he's got to be appearing sometime soon with his happy-go-lucky tragic stylings.

Who the h*ll is this?  I don't recall seeing this guy before, but he reminds me of Kria!

If you read the earlier posts, he's listed in the Fae entry on Demo 101. Albanion, I think it was...

*Checks comic* Zuh-buh-wuh? That's different. Methinks Jyrras is officially in politics up to his eyeballs. Or he's here for Mab, for whatever it was she and Dan wouldn't talk about on their way back from Matilda's.
Hmm... Weird thought. The fae often play roles for the hell of it, see the world of furrae more as a source of entertainment than something to be taken seriously... They sound almost like fans of a webcomic playing around on a forum.

It'd be hilarious if he really was a shrubbery and Jy's mind had finally snapped.  :U

I wonder what our Mr. Albanion wants? I honestly haven't a clue.

Hmmm, perhaps Mab is the queen of all evil, and Albanion is there to ensure that Jy becomes a god and stops all of Queen Mab's evil.

Roll a will save. DC 55.

Too bad, you die!  ;)

Hey maybe this is just another dumb fae character. If I were Jyrras I would just be really pissed. Some whiny purple thing is singing lame theme songs or this and that, there's the cow of a room-mate that's been on her period for the last couple scenes, and now some pranciful unicorn acting like some kid who latched on to drama class in highschool. "I'm a little lad who loves berries and creme!" AUGH! Jyrras should just flip everyone off, tromp back to his lab, and go to BED. In the morning, lock down everything and just blow stuff up.

AS IS HIS DESTINY.

See Jy has to become God.  It's his destiny.  He has already created two different forms of life, he created Deathbringer and a machine that lives all by accident.   Just imagine what he could do if he did it on purpose.

Oh and on the evil queen mab front, we have the fact that her cookies give people nightmares.

*Charline yawns*  Perhaps Mab could be an evil queen.  We've seen her entertaining wicked thoughts before; considering masquerading as a genie to slaughter people who rub her lamp, trying to get Pyro to put his hand into a forbidding tree, playing happily with mows.  Yes, I can see power would corrupt her thoroughly.   :3

I like him, he seems nice. It'll be interesting to see where this goes.
