Title: 11-5-06 Cemetary
Post by: Alan Garou on November 05, 2006, 07:53:53 PM
Uh-oh, Alexsi seems pretty ticked off. Seems Biggs will be the one needing rescuing.

Ahh, violence, how I love thee. I sense much pain in the near future. The idea makes me giddy.

Mab can hide her wings? :aack

And this is when we find out that Alexsi is not in the Twink territories at all, but in Dark Pegasus's lair....

Nah, probably not. Just figured I'd put that out there to be swept in the wave of speculation.

It's very cool whatcha did with the wing-markings on Mab's back, Amber. Thumbs up! :mowmeep

Well, if she can be a horse, probablly. Like in the same way that Abel can hide his wings.

Yanno, this is an interesting look into Twink culture. Originally it was just webtrolls and gaming stuff, but now that DMFA isn't based on Furcadia as much anymore so much as being its own world the Twinks would have to work quite differently. Most webcomics get more serious as they progress and get stuck on fitting the really unutterably silly things they had come up with before into a serious plot now, but I don't think Amber will have that problem quite so much. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Also, Alexi looks very good in that dress.

cheers amber for seven hundred strips!

My guess is it is easier to draw a representation of wings than actual wings, of course this is based on personal experince drawing the annoying things.

Yes, fey are capable of hiding their wings. They are also capable of changing the size and shape of the wings, as well as the number of wings they have, probably depending on their current mood. If you look back through the archives you'll see Mab display countless examples of this ability. (But not Azlan, he's too cool for butterfly-wings. :kittycool)

Don't even need the Demo101 for that. Mab has gone to multi-wing mode in canon at least once (where she stops the Aary/Dan fight) :P

And I agree with Ink: A good banter line in the style of the "chew gum" one.

About the line in the headline: "OH *bleep* YES!" :D That video was hilarious! "At least I have chicken..."

Now for the love that is all sweet and muffin-y, get back to a proper sleep schedule!  >:3  Or else you'll end up like me- going to bed at 3am and waking up at 7.30am, then somehow falling back to sleep on the couch whilst watching Winx Club and forgetting what the whole episode was about.

Out of the two, I think Lexi is scarier. I mean.... Wildy may punch you in the bells, but Lexi can cause even more pain then that... which is hard to do.  :mowdizzy

Wildy doesnt really have a relationship with Abel. A while back, Jyrass found out about Wildy writing that scandalous novel in which the main character resembles Jy-Jy, and apparently Abel found out about it. When Wildy threatened Abel to help with the current situation, Abel brought it up as a kind of blackmail issue and got punched for it, presumably in the nether regions.

If Mab's wings are controlled by her then that's a very large amount of magic to control. Let alone to fly if the need arises.

Flying is overrated now and then sadly...And I belive Pyro explain why us winged type dont flys

Now I know why Alexsi Needed a bouncer for the bar... To keep the body count low.

Lets all remember that Alexsi was Raised by a Sucubus, a powerful one at that and they liked each other like mom and daughter.  Now being Raised by a powerful creature does have it's advantages, you learn a few tricks (even if you don't know) on how to be strong and fearsome yourself.

I wonder how long it will take Alexsi to destroy Twink territories.
Not to mention Alexsi is DAN's sister and she probably has her hammer hidden away in hammer space or other weapons.

I wonder who will be first on Alexsi list-O-Distruction

No, but given that SAIA is magically isolated, impossible to escape from and filled with really weird people, I can well see the resemblance to this Village (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061287).

Forgiven. It's just that I don't usually put up with people like that for very long. I'm not quick at all to aggravate, but you do not want to see me angry. Also, I have seen a lot of people like the comic version of Wildy in real life, and put down one or two because they didn't know when to quit. It's an issue with me, and a complicated one, since I've been treated very much by such people the same way as Wildy tried to treat Abel.

In this case, I wanted to project my perhaps not innermost, but certainly my most primal and direct thoughts on this matter, and hopefully provoke some form of similar reactions from you and/or any others.

Understandable. But I've also my reasons for the defending of said Wildy and, ironically, the disliking of said Abel. So... I gues pretty much opposite of what you're getting at. Sure, let's go with that. It's easier to remember.

I am curious as to why you would want to defend Wildy in this situation. Frankly, I think that while Abel might have benefited from being more cautious and making a warning statement before he made that retort, Wildy did have it coming to her. The book she wrote is not the issue; it's her attitude, and her approach to her friends that seems so thoughtless.

If he -was- addressing me, then that would be up to me to answer.
As for the answer, my reasons are my own. And although the comic Wildy has no tie-ins to the real life Wildy, aside from being made by her and the real life one occassionally being an evil little bugger, I still like the character. And, in my eyes, I think Abel had the lowblow coming just as bad, if not moreso, than anyone in the comic has gotten. Except Lorenda. Going homeless like that for a bit. I mean.... sure, she ate people. But most of them were door-to-door salesmen.

I can't argue with that. And yes, Abel is evil and manipulative, and would do well to be a little more cautious with his peers. But unlike Wildy, he has as of yet shown that he is actually capable of being so if he puts his mind to it, rather than just running people over as Wildy does.

And I do not have any problems with the real Wildy either, so I suggest we keep her out of this.

I say we agree on that, as it seems to be the only thing... besides the salesmen bit, and end the current conversation. As a) I'm rather not in a good mood right now, and b) I really don't like hijacking threads for debates.

By coincidence I'm trying to use a hammer to solve a bicycle problem and came to exactly the same conclusion.  It hasn't worked yet though.  When it got to the 4LB lump-hammer stage last night I was afraid it would shear the metal - it hasn't had any effect whatsoever though (nor has penetrating oil).
I might be tempted to upgrade the hammer again, but at that point I'll probably have spent more on tools than the bike is worth :P
