Title: 9/11- Heads or Tails?
Post by: Sunny on September 11, 2006, 03:25:44 AM
That's how everything in life should be decided.

Oh, anyone else notice the clothes change on Mabbers? Sash moved to the side and neck is now orange!  It's refreshing to see her and Pyroduck again.

Aye!

And just a little off topic I wonder when Her Mabness is going to change over the forum link....

That's how everything in life should be decided.

In 'Jabberwocky' they used hide-and-seek..

Aide: "Congratulations, sire.. we have a champion."
King: "Good.  Where is he?"
Aide: "They haven't found him yet."
King: "Is see.  Is that good?"
Aide: "Yes. That's what makes him a champion."
King: "I see.  They will find him, won't they?"
(Aide looks uncomfortable)

Indeed it is. And it's nice to see you again as well. :)

...It's amazing how many things have been decided that way.

It's nice to see a bit of an outfit change, even if minor.  She was starting to seem a bit static, which is not what I am used to in fae... not that the stereotype of constant chaotic change is better, but wearing the same style day in and day out must be a bit dull.  Perhaps it was a game?

Anyways, the old coin toss... very classic, works really well especially if you have the old "two-headed" slug.

I just copied and moved around letters from the source comic. Not very elegant, but it got the job done. I could have searched for it, but I didn't want the hassle. I could have PM'd Amber, but that didn't occur to me until literally right now. Hopefully Amber will swoop in and tell us :) (and/or I'll PM her anyway).

I suppose... although the familiar hand at that game would likely attempt to predict the actions of their opponent to so many levels of abstraction that it would be pretty much random anyway.

That's true... unless you know the other person always has a favorite to go with.  But then I guess the person could try to trip you up and go with a different one this time...

Ah, Rock-Paper-Scissors...my favorite of the decision-making games.  It's also fun to use substitutes sometimes...I once tried to make up one for Fire-Grass-Water, A La Pokemon.

'Course, I like rolling dice just as well, for a more-than-one thing...

So why would Mab be trusted with the coin toss?  Unless she's the only one trustworthy enough not to use a one-sided trick coin...   :rolleyes

You don't need a trick coin. If you have good hand-eye coordination you can pick the coin out of the air with whatever side you want. In my family the coin has to be down and the person who tossed is not allowed to call first. Better yet, the coin has to hit the floor and not be taken from the air.

Normal flip with the coin rotating in the air. I guess if you got a coin flipping gun it might be safe to play against my Dad. He's in his sixties and I've never seen him miss snatching it the way he wants. He managed to teach the trick to everyone in the family but me. I have vision problems and small rapidly moving objects appear to blink in and out to me. (Dodgeballs in particular.... brrrr dodgeballs!) :boggle
