I think Daryil is more about being cute than showing fur (especially on the previous page). It's also possible he covered up in an attempt to make Lisa feel more comfortable.

Yes, there is a reason he's not dressed flaming gay for this particular event.  And then when the thing starts properly... damn - it's going to be a while before we see him really let go in this comic.  But when he does, he does...

Sure, but Daryil is mindful of his children, after all. He might upset them, but he never goes far enough to break their minds. Just broaden them a little.

I like to think of it as 'a little friendly trolling'.
Incidentally, Merlin managed to pull off a minor miracle so, with luck, we will be updating the main comic on Friday, possibly slightly late.  I mention this because Daryil probably isn't going to get a chance to dress fancy for a while after that so I'm going to make the most of it.
